I’m glad your channel is growing. Me personally I subscribed to you because of your Short about Project Hail Mary popped on my recommended(even though I didn’t like the book as much as you) I laugh so hard at your skit and immediately subbed. Kelp doing what you’re doing!!
Great to see the growth. Really nice mix this month. I love Death of a Salesman and Misery, and Shogun is on the list, even if the length is a bit off putting. King doesn’t do a lot of non-supernatural stuff. Most of the novellas in Different Seasons, and Delores Claiborne spring to mind. Cujo has a suggestion of supernatural but it’s mostly a big scary rabid dog. My February was: •Books 12 and 13 of my Wheel of Time reread •Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury •Strata by Terry Pratchett •Bleak House by Charles Dickens •We Are Legion (We Are Bob) and most of book 2 in the Bobiverse For We Are Many A couple of those are audiobooks hence the big number, but I still count them 😁
Shogun sounds cool, but a book that size would take me 6 months to read! I loved the movie, MISERY, now I really gotta read the book! :) EVERY SINGLE TIME, you produce a SMART and EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING video! Please keep doing that thing you do the way you do it!!!!!!
Got through A Game of Thrones and Judges List by Grisham in February and now I’m reading IT and a couple of short king books (Tom Gordon and Thinner) Also I picked up shogun today and didn’t know it was a 1975 first edition and now I’m very happy haha
Great video! I have tried the Shogun Audio book so many times, but its so bloody long :D. I need to pick up the book and get into it, I've seen it released in a two volume version before that i might want to pick up. Which cover were you hunting? I don't mind the current one with the Shrine on front. I'll add a Cult Mem,,Subscriber to March's count!
Great video!! Shogun was fun! 11/22/63 was an awesome read, would be great to actually connect with you on a more meaningful level. Legends and Lattes sounds cozy. Stoicism perhaps explains why you do your thing as you do!
Hey Cliff! Yeah I'm excited to read 11/22/63. So many people say great things about it. When you say connect in a more meaningful way how do you mean mate? Any ideas? Stoicism helps me a lot. I don't always live the philosophy but I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who is ALWAYS stoic. It's meant as a kind of ideal I think.
Yeah I thought about doing them. I wonder if I'd be any good at them haha. Before every video I kind of make little bullet points of all the things I want to talk about so that would be totally new territory for me. It's a good idea though. I'll definitely give it a try soon. Maybe do like a "Ask me anything" kind of thing?
I read quite a bit in February. My favorite read was easily The Troop by Nick Cutter, and in second place, I’d say it was Clive Barkers Books of Blood: Omnibus 2. Just a brilliant short story collection. I haven’t read 11.22.63 but I want to do it soon with how many people hype it up. I’m just looking for a paperback of it! I got the hardcover but… it’s a hard cover xD Great video as always and I’m excited to see your review of Misery :)
Ha! We're on the same page (bad pun) when it comes to paperbacks vs hardbacks. I'm glad you liked The Troop! I still haven't read that one yet. I've heard mixed reviews. I'm hoping to have The Misery review out really soon.
I've not seen the current movie of ;Shogun, but I think you might enjoy the original TV miniseries, from about three decades ago, with Richard Chamberlain. Orson Welles was in it, too. Now I think I need to find a copy. Thanks!
Well I got to push back on 112263. The hype is huge and honestly I felt kinda “meh” about it🤷♂️ I’ve got 3 first of Sun eater series, Kings It and Misery (there was a sale on SK books on Amazon) waiting there right when I finish Morning star.
Thats interesting that you found 11/22/63 to be meh. I have it ranked as probably my favorite Stephen King book. I went into it not hearing pretty much anything about it and was blown away with how much I enjoyed it. I did read the book nearly 10 years ago though
Oh wow! You're maybe the first person who's told me that they didn't like it. Sometimes it can happen where, as you said, the hype is so big that it falls flat. It's like, I'm going to see Dune 2 today and everyone has been saying what an incredible movie it is "BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME" "BETTER THAN STAR WARS!" etc . I had to stop watching reviews because I felt like it might be spoiled because my expectations are too high. I give 11.22.63 a read still but I'll limit my expectations going in. Thanks mate!
Love your videos my dude. Your channel is so underrated.
I totally agree.
That's very nice of you Danny! Thanks mate.
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Can't wait to see your Stephen King video! I love the mix of genres you read. It's refreshing.

HAHA! Thanks mate. I really appreciate that. I always get nervous when I make little comedy videos like that in case they bomb.

ooo I read misery this month too! i loved it. haven't seen the movie yet, surprisingly haha
Oh wow! You're something of a rarity in that case haha. The movie is good. Kathy Bates is fantastic in it. I agree the book is great.

I keep forgetting you don't have like a mil subs. Your vids are all so high quality ❤
Veronica you're so nice to say that. Thank you. Stuff like this really encourages me.

I’d recommend From A Buick 8 for March it’s about a car that belonged to a low man from the Dark Tower
MISERY review!!!❤
It should be coming out soon. ❤️

Billy Summers doesn't include any supernatural elements.
Oh cool! Thanks. I've heard of Billy Summers but really don't know much about it. I'll have to take a look and add it to my TBR.
