I think the reason Scott's ending is not the right one is because Scott defeats Nega Scott instead of accepting him therefore instead of accepting his past mistakes he keeps on making them, but when Ramona defeats Nega Scott She is putting Scott's past behind her.
I agree with you that Ramona's ending is the best. Two of the reasons why I love it is because Scott and Ramona is perfect and the title after the text says congratulations instead of the end. That is what makes it unique.

Apparently, in the game universe, Gideon was controlling outright reality warping power. Scott used it selfishly, which I guess means NegaScott still wins, Kim rejected it, and Wallace just wanted booze, adoration, and (presumably) men.
I like how Scott's ending is essentially what would've happened if he beat up Negascott (everything involving Ramona at least, not exactly the triple relationship thing there) instead of learning to accept his mistakes and grow from them, which just so happens to be what happens in this game.
I love how in Kim's ending, even the narration text is confused as to what the hell is going on like Scott and Stephen. And its entirely possible that the ending would provoke either irritation or mild amusement in Comic!Kim. Maybe both given the one time gag in volume four, which someone creating the game must have liked.
You could make the argument that Scott defeated Nega Scott, so he didn't accept his mistakes. When Ramona beats Nega Scott, she puts Scott's mistakes behind her. While Scott should've also gotten the true ending, it at least makes some sense when you put thought into it.

I liked the movie, but it kinda did the comic dirty by leaving a lot of things out due to time (especially the entirety of Kim's character). Kinda wish an animated series could adapt the comic in all its glory, without worrying about time

Ramona originates from a comic not a game, this game just dumbs down the plot but its basically scott has to defeat romanos seven evil exes if he wants to date her. Its a great comic its worth the money.
The comics and movie, aside from being amazing in their own right, are a love letter to games and you really owe it to yourself to check em out. The movie was directed by the legendary Edgar Wright, and is similar enough to the source material to please fans but different enough to make experiencing both more than worth it. The game is a side scrolling beat em up that's a blast alone or with up to four friends, featuring a catchy-as-hell soundtrack by Anamanaguchi and pixel art from Paul Robertson (look up Kings of Power 4 Billion % here on UA-cam if you like his pixel art. You won't regret it.) Basically, if you're into games in general, Scott Pilgrim was made for you. Oh, the actual plot is pretty straightforward: Scott Pilgrim meets the literal girl of his dreams, and must defeat her seven evil exes in combat before he's able to date her. It's deeper than that but you'll figure that out for yourself :)
