Usher is the only one who have been making top hits whenever he drops an album since he came out and probably he is the only one left from the 90s successful artists and always keeping it real! Usher will always stay Usher as we know him back in 8701.
Chris brown?? He's been around longer than 10 years. He's still one of the biggest artists in the world and arguably the most talented of this generation
Chris Brown has been around for a decade, but relative to the generation of Usher, Beyonce, Alicia Keys Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, P!nk etc, he's still a little short from being called a veteran and hasn't impacted as much commercially. But to be only 27 after a decade, having started at 16 is impressive.
That's true, i wouldn't claim chris as a veteran yet. Due to his past he wouldn't get a lot of recognition but what we need to question is. If chris went through all these setbacks in his career and still managed to sell out arenas and still go platinum every year. Imagine him without all those setbacks...he would of most likely surpassed MJ(My opinion). On top of that he's still 27 i think he will surpass Usher. People just need to let him live and stop sleeping on him.

The incident only effected his overall album sales, and he wan never selling big worldwide. Therefore didn't really effect hits. Mainstream audiences jam to hit singles, but the album is what connects the artist - so it's only effect him from that perspective. His singles would have been (at best - in a different world - on a good day - extremely unlikely) - like Rihanna. Only big in hits, not overall career/albums. Maximum.
He will not surpass Usher, Usher is second to Rihanna in Billboard hits in this era. The most successful male. Chris Brown being 27 is impressive, but his charting power is already at this young age, very weak. He should be doing better than Usher, but he's not. He's at times, worse. His performance is currently average, Royalty singles were all flops except for Back To Sleep. Usher had a bigger hit with no music video "I Don't Mind". Chris is relevant, but seriously needs help with his artistry, in terms of quality. Commercially he will not resurrect anything, nor would he have done so, on an album level at least.
