You need:
- Warm milk 300 ml
- Yeast 7 gram
- 1 tbsp sugar, 1tsp of salt
- 1 egg
- Flour 550 gram
- During kneading, add 40 grams of butter. Leave in a warm place for at least an hour. Add any filling to your taste.

I grew up eating Piroshki but my Baba and mother and relatives always used homemade dry cottage cheese (sour) with potatoe. for the filling.

My wife (also Ukrainian) makes these as well. I really like the fried cabbage and ground pork filling she uses. Your filling looks delicious as well.

Yes Luba my sadly departed Grandma used to spend hours making up sandwiches for our Sunday picnics and be surprised at how quickly my stomach was filled with egg and cress mixture while the rest of my family watched me devour them. fried buns are a real treat here in West Coast I'm blessed with several great shops and small grocery bakery stores which make these. Cabbage, Potaoe, Chicken, Apricot, are my favorite ones. I never seen your egg and green onion mixture, it's looks so yummy. You make some yummy foods and I want to try them all hehe.
