(I used arch for some weeks, btw) but accidentally broke it, then had to install win10 so I could use my pc as quickly as possible... Now, if it forcefully updates to 11 despite me denying it, I swear I'll take the time necessary to go back to it lol
I think you now have two EFI partitions on your main drive. That's… not exactly supported by most motherboards. You might want to merge them or something. Tho if it works, it works.
last month i installed arch linux (hard way), but i switched back to windows because of drivers, arch linux auto uses iGPU even i setup nvidia drivers it still uses iGPU
@@muffina672 This is true, but reading can be hard if you are not that technical. For example, when I began, I did not know what a partition is exactly. I had to go through every term. That's why I had to reinstall Arch like 3 times at the beginning because I was too lazy to read carefully. Cant count how many times I have forgotten to generate the grub config.
@@HowToLinux you don't really need to know what is a partition or so on. Arch wiki install is a step guide, you just follow the steps. It tells you that most of the time you'd like 3 partition setup, what size they should be and how to format them properly. Not to mention archwiki actually covers these topics most of the time, i.e you got a dedicated page for partitioning like what's a partition table, differences about gpt and mbr etc.
@@muffina672 It covers most of the topics that true. Back then around 2016, the setup guide wasn't as good, and it did not tell you exactly how to format the partitions.

The overheating was likely caused by dust buildup. Clean your cooler.
+1
it came by default, lol. My PC doesnt have a good heating system, it heats when I open too much stuff at the same time.
@@stupidgeek change the thermal paste, check for dust because some has definitely built up, check thermal pads.
Installing arch for first time when sharing with another OS is brave, i nuked the boot loader of other OSs too many times

I do not understand why anyone recommends arch as a first distro. It's like you hate the idea of other people getting into Linux.
I will get around it :)
