Fantastic work Rob👍👍thanks to remember me under other comment 😜... Next step to complete the work is the bed and sink.
Your works are very simple and functional. Without complicated projects. That structure should be anchored to the car to keep it from moving while driving.
    thanks again for your work😍

That's the plan! Next is the bed. Yes, and I want it to be simple, that I can take the furniture out and drive the building material.

@@klerobi1 Use metal bars, maybe aluminum bars for the bed, so the weight is not transferred onto the box below and the box can be taken out easily. See Humble Road van builds on UA-cam for ideas on the bed framing. HR is one of the best van build channels today.

The best thing about this video is... there is no music, hallelujah! What a joy. Natural sounds are wonderful for the ears.
Box is so spacious! It is very well constructed, very solid.
5:37 - Why not make a full drawer on top with two drawer glides from wall to wall? Seems odd to use only part of the ceiling height. I don't like this. You should stretch it out wall to wall so you can add not only cutlery but cooking tools as well. Use full extension, heavy duty drawer glides (Schubladenauszug), add a 1/4" plywood piece on top and you have another pull out shelf!
7:08 - Love that fold down shelf with the piano hinge, very nice! I was wondering why you made a separate unit, but very handy to remove from box and cook separately, or in the box.
I read in comments below that this is poplar. Poplar is much lighter than pine (I did not know that) and is a softer hardwood. It does not take staining very well, but there is a technique you can use to seal off the wood and make it visually more interesting. Scorch the wood with a propane torch. Not charred like Shou Sugi Ban technique but just enough get a vivid contrast. Burning the wood also creates a natural weatherproofing. Then use a red stain or other bright color. Wipe off and you get a deep contrast in a lively color. Now seal it off. This way, when you get dents and bangs in it, it won't show as much as if left unfinished, it won't stain with handling or get dirty, surface dirt won't show, and you have a unique finish. I love poplar but generally use pine because I like to age it with a Steel Wire Cup Brush mounted on an Angle Grinder (Bosch 5" is best). I scrape off the wood to bring out the grain in pine and then I get a naturally aged look. I stain it with browns and greys, then seal it. It looks like old barn wood. Not so good with poplar, so you have to use a torch instead.
Beautiful woodwork and very solidly built. Vielen Dank!

I watched your videos, my suggestion is if you want to get views on YT, a little talk and show a lot more work. I see in my videos when I start talking people skip so I always speak at the end of the video at the beginning I show the work.
Set the camera to timelapse when you work and record and I think you will get a lot more views.
Ok, later you will have to work with editing.
Good luck with the project 🙂

I love this! I’m converting my GMC Terrain for part time living. But I’m putting my box on the driver side. I’m petite so I’m putting my bed on passenger. My kitchen will be so I can do everything inside and when weather permits I will use tailgate. But I’m nervous about design and putting max fan in window.Let alone a solar system for a rice cooker, max fan,iPad, security system. I prefer AGM battery and inverter. Adding 12V fridge later. Please advise.

    • @klerobi1
      @klerobi1  3 роки тому +3

The best battery would be lithium. But it is quite expensive. The AGM battery will last for about 3 years, lithium will last for about 10 years. If you need a 200A AGM battery, you can only discharge it 50%. Lithium batteries can be discharged up to 90%. This means that a 110A lithium battery is equivalent to a 200A AGM battery.
If you ask me I would buy a lithium battery because it will last much longer, it will be much lighter and it will be cheaper in the long run due to the long life.

What is preventing you from getting a drivers license? Even people with no legs can get a license, so what is your excuse? Go get one! And stop making excuses for not doing things. You don't have a license because you were too lazy to learn. Same reason you are not making a camp box. Women have lots of excuses for being lazy and blaming other things for their lazy choices. Go get a license, build a camp box, get a van and travel. It is one of life's greatest joys. You live in Europe too, one of the best places to travel.
