Tarun Gogoi is hands down the architect of modern Assam. The welfare schemes of his government, including but not limited to, like distributing laptops to every student who passed HSLC examinations with first degree marks had ushered in a new era of confidence and self sustainability among Assamese youth. I just hope that he is given a chance to revive the party in Assam.
