@paullinfoot6017 Thanks so much for stopping by and Checking out the car. Building this one was a wild ride, and having you come by and give us your genuine thoughts and praise means a lot to all of us at JH Restorations. Thanks for the great video.
Great to meet you guys , we were made to feel so welcome in the USA , our trip was made even more special being at the show and seeing your fantastic workmanship on this special build . I hope we can catch up again at some point in 2024
Jason deserves full credit for an extremely well thought out build on this restomod, getting Paul and Steve flying over to see it just shows how good it is. 👍👊
What an amazing thing that Sierra/Merkur is I've not seen that before but wonderfull attention to detail, in lots of little ways. Thanks for that guys, still looking forward to the RS 500 build progress😊
Thank you for this video. This is nice. There are so many people out there that are just so innovative and this car is nice. I haven’t seen any of these lately on the road here in the United States but this is nice thank you.
I watched a video on this and while watching it I wondered what you would think of this, with your love of dustbin lid turbos etc, but obviously from an engineering pov you can appreciate it. Thanks for bothering to do a video while there. 😉
I'd previously seen a few pictures of that Merkur. But to see it in the flesh so to speak on your channel. Just shows what a truly stunning build it is. Hats off to the guys that made it happen!
I want to not like the build and cannot. It’s just so impressive/cool. Fit finish attention detail. The whole shebang. As other comments. Far from my cup tea either but I love it. Just great.
Hi Paul and Steve, that Merkur is a nice build, they do shows etc so well in the US. Everything is so massive in scale, car dealerships , spares shops are huge. Looked like you had a great time over there. Alex.
@@paullinfoot6017 Ah.... they may say that Paul, but you've forgotten more about Cosworth Sierras and Escorts than they ever knew..!!!! Lol.... I have been and did find it impressive, I think its just the space they have.... compared to how little we have in comparison..!! Alex
I saw that car in another video. Amazing how many Americans are unaware that the Sierra and Granada/Scorpio were actually sold under the Merkur brand in the US. There are probably a lot of mint shells sat in junkyards in dry states which could be repatriated to the UK. The only detail on the car I'm not a fan of is the steering wheel. I'd go for a black leather or suede 3 spoke motorsport wheel. Probably a Sparco, as I have a few of them already.
I Love it The Big Rims Breaks just set it off Just Right and i am a Purist when it comes to Rs Cars.... But This isA1... Big Respect to The Guys Whom did this... Happy Christmas Everyone.🥰🎅🙏.
Stunning amount of work and detail in that Merkur. Very well done. Would love to see a video of it in action. Years ago there would have been a profitable business in 8.8” diff conversions from refurbed explorer units if the ratios are good.
Glad you had good things to say about the build paul, I'll be honest i thought you'd rip it but fair play to you, I like it myself and looking like you made a few friends over there onwards and upwards 😉
I hope you will be able to help the lad out with red rs cosworth,he seems to have bought a poor example under seal over mud plus other things, I’m surprised you and your mate didn’t spot this when selling it from your web site. Yours hopefully roger
They couldn't have squeezed a bigger engine than that under the bonnet (hood) in the space available. The interior patern is a bit different. Although overall look externally is smart.
@@paullinfoot6017 Some of my best days spent at Mount Panorama 80/90's, cracking cars, cracking time and some of the most mental people at the top of the hill I have ever been around. Whether you like the car or not you’ve got to give the guy massive credit for a superb build. God knows how many man hours would of gone into that, but I’d like to give him enormous credit for the fact that he bloody understood every word you 2 northern monkeys said to him 😂😂 great vid guys thanks for sharing 👍🏻
what an incredible build, awesome creation.

Talking about tools, when are we getting a tour of this big toolbox! Would have some people interested definitely.

Im happy to admit i like al sorts of cars , but they have to be good quality builds , and this takes some beating in that sence
When I saw this at SEMA I was hoping it would be best car at the show
The interior is ace 😎

Watched Larry chens vid on this 3 door & love it, modern interpretation of the Daddy... 😎👊👍✌
Have you a link ?
What a car 👏👏👏

Its a tight fit , lol
Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car and what's that stick thing sticking up between the seats?
If you look at it upside down its all correct , lol

Not my kind of thing but very impressive, rather have something more subtle myself.
very well done, but not my cup of tea, i like to see an old cortina lump under the bonnet
naa, you missed it, cosworth motors are basically modified 1971 cortina 2ltr blocks with a 16v head on@jambo7348
but it is... god knows i have built enough...
by the way, it's grandad to you@jambo7348

Autobionics rsr500 is far better engineered
What’s that got to do with this though.
My aunt would have been my uncle if she was named Bob!
They are different cars though , both stunning in there own right
That’s actually a ridiculous car don’t like it
