First saw Paul in London in 1972. I was totally hooked! The best voice on the planet, then and now.
Best voice? You are kidding. You listen to Otis Redding's version which this guy is copying?
Great frontman 👍
@@rlinton123 yeah I think
Otis knocked this outta the park. But I’ll give Paul credit
This is good
@@precisionbrown6829 it's ok if you think so. After all we all have our own personal taste while some taste are somewhat universal.
@@rlinton123 I just had to look up the song because I recognized the voice as Otis
Redding. This copy is pretty good but I’m a guitar player and not much with singing
The world is right when I listen to Paul sing. No one better 💗💗💗
I was 12 years in 1972 and heavily in to bolan and Bowie . Then I started to take notice of my next door neighbour's music coming through the wall . Floyd , zeppelin, sabbath, wishbone ash, the groundhogs .I made friends and spent hours sitting in his bedroom freaking out to all this amazing music . One day he played me heartbreaker , my god my life was changed for ever . God bless you paul , the voice of the seventies and beyond. I'm now 60 and still cry every time I play my free albums And remembering those heady days listening to free with my life long friend , god bless you dave
I was 15 in 1972 & loved free, my favourite albums were Highway & Fire & Water. The song 'Be my friend' & 'Love you so' brings back so many happy memories of the 70's. Still listen to them today.

The best does it all consistently..and his repertoire these days reflects his uncanny vocal abilities. Remember he is past 70 and has defined rock and blues for 55 years. Timeless..
The Voice, one of the best white male soul voices. Keep on Paul.
My vocal influence since 1983: my first band played several Free and Bad Co songs.
The first Bad Co album is still a favourite of mine all these years later, and Wishing Well by Free is a song I've sung in every band I've joined.
Thank you Paul Rodgers.
Always
Ditto 😎
If a man can make you forget Otis did a song, he is something special.
You've most definitely still got it Paul. Legend. 💚💚💚🎤🎤🎤
Have you heard his son Steve?! Sounds SO much like Paul!
@@susanssoulshines9847 Yes I have and his daughter Jasmine is great as well. She's beautiful and his son looks just like him.
Written by Roosevelt Jamison. First recorded by O.V. Wright for 1964 release. Otis Redding recorded it in 1965. Many have tried, but no one has topped Otis' version. Paul Rodgers did it well, using Otis' arrangement.
A band called Blackberry Smoke do a nice live version of this. They have never recorded it though.
Taj Mahal🌸🌺❤️
I love Paul and Otis but Chris Robinson Brotherhood does an excellent job.
My FAVORITE singer ever!!! And the BEST singer ever too!!! (In my humble opinion!!!)

Only the living LEGEND that is Mr Paul Rodgers can take on an Otis classic and put his own stamp on it.Actually betters it in my opinion.Sung from the very heart and soul in only his inimitable way.Beautiful guys, and yes, Hall of Fame please X❤️X
Well maybe not better but as good 👍😁💞
Omg, do I love this song, especially with Paul Rodgers singing it! It’s so beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤
Possibly and probably the only vocalist who could pull this off....Great version.
Exquisite voice and man
The miracle Man!❤❤❤
Paul, sing better every day! what a voice for God
I love this song! I love paul rodgers! I Love Otis Redding!
Why the R&R HOF continues to snub this man & the rest of Bad Co. is an absolute wonder to me. Even after all these years his voice remains impeccable. Wow. .
Michele at Lilacs & Rust It's most likely because he is British. They are very reluctant with British artists.
@@torfrida6663 What a ridiculous prejudice.......did they miss the whole "British Invasion" thing??? Smh.
They're crap. They don't even know what Rock and Roll is. I was in Cleveland a couple of years ago and refused to even visit that place l.
He isn't???!?
People have often asked why did they put that in Cleveland... Ohio, instead of Detroit.
The Voice. .
Beautiful.
With the most beautiful voice singing a beautiful song! ❤️ Paul is the King of Rock, nobody can sing like him!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Otis Redding can sing better than this dude.
The voice the great Paul Rodgers

Stand still and listen to life!
I've been a huge fan all my life (almost!) Paul.. Saw Free many times - Liverpool, Isle of Wight 69/70 but the ultimate was when you played the "Grand Whammy" for Unicef in London organised by Keith Atack about 20 years ago. You did a sound check and the only people in the the audience were me and my son! Love you mate
Still have an amazing voice Paul Rodgers and I’m looking forward to your next visit in Phoenix!
Middlesbrough boy all these years later 😁👍💞
Sounds awesome, the entire album of "The Royal Sessions" is awesome, what a voice. He isn't in the R and R hall of Fame???????????!!
What!!!!!??!?!
For as much as I. love Otis , this is very good .I am 66 years old.

phoenoninal voice
Makes me want to join you...so good!
Bien bien bien
Remarkable performance?
Awesome
💙👍🙂👍
OmG!
Where was it recorded?
I can't find it on itunes :-(( I want to buy it
mmmmmm 💘❤️🔥💖
I've seen folks actually debate this voice in the ranks of Elvis and Robert Plant. ...Seen arguments convincing enough for all three.
One does not mess with Otis unless you can do him justice.
And I would respond and say that Paul did, without a doubt.
P. Rodgers always great.
But best Coverby far is Stones.
The Stones did a much better performance in 2003 live in Paris. But that makes sense no one can beat The Stones!
I love you Maria Durden . Marry me .
Not bad.
