short cut method would be just modelling the full roof (with the concealed gutter feature) in profile mode, saves you from having two separate components and having to trim one from another.

the way you designed it, the water would end up sitting there. I like the idea, but there are so many things that can go wrong with the design that it will probable end up leaking into the inside of the wall.
there's downspouts that can travel through the wall or you can create a trough that travels to the fascia and down a scupper. its better than it being external.
Not to mention that it's gonna leak into the wall if there's even the tiniest gap, or damage then comes the mold, bugs & critters (A great habitat for roaches, rats, & occaslonal wordpecker).
And that's only for Southern climates.

Agreed. The 2DSection has nothing to do with the 3DSection.
Also, the 2D section is even worse. so you're going to put the gutter right to the drywall ceiling?
can we make this not by extrusion but by sweep, I couldn't,. keep getting an error
im getting a "Can't regenerate Family Roofs 1. Edit Family to modify it." warning, any idea how i can solve it?
I tried to do the void extrusion and it put an error message. how do I fix that?

Try changing Rafter Cut in the roof properties to Two Cut with 0 Fascia Depth and use Modify-Join command to join walls after you attach top/base
