This season had potential but I feel it didn’t deliver that well Pros: - Had interesting contestants - Pre merge was good - The concept of relatives playing against each other is interesting - Had a deserving winner - Had returning players, Sam and Mark (and Andy for one episode 😭) - Chrissy - Purple being the colour of the merged tribe Cons: - Weren’t any clear alliances and people kept switching alliances so that when voting came it was normally unanimous. - Because of this there were blindsides but no majorly standout one like every other season (BvB - Simon, All Stars - Daisy, CvC II - David, CvC I - Mat, Season II - Henry, Season I - Brooke) - Purgatory going for three episodes in a row - Jordie hogging most of the screen time post merge - Only two of the how many idols being played correctly, the rest either wasted without a vote to your name or going home with it in your pocket. - Sandra going home soon, and Nina going from an injury - Andy being first eliminated - A final three (prefer final two) In my ranking of the seasons it sits rather low probably behind BvB and in front of Season I (which is last) Players for All Stars (if there is another one lol): Jordie, Nina, Josh, Khanh, Shay, Chrissy.
Sam and Mark used the blood v water twist to its potential. What they were able to pull off as a couple was nothing short of remarkable. I was one of the people who questioned why they were brought back for another season back when they along with Sandra and Nina were announced as players returning but thought the producers wanted Australia's own Rob and Amber on a blood v water season and they were the most well known survivor couple in Australia. They both proved me wrong with Mark winning and Sam was probably the player of the season who didn't win but showed as a couple they were a force to be reckon with. It's a shame the season was shit and the editing has gotten worse that even players have been calling it out in their exit press with Mark even saying they didn't show much of his, Josh and Chrissy's relationship until towards the end. We shouldn't have to assume things based on the edit and learn how to edit the most important people including Josh who should've been built up as an alternate winner to Mark as they basically played 46/47 days together.
This was one of the most bitter juries in ausvivor history. Just because they voted for the most strategic player of the final three doesn’t make them non-bitter. They were quite sexist and exceedingly rude to people who came to Ponderosa (see KJ’s jury Villa). Apparently FTC was a lot nastier than the edit showed, as per Shay and Chrissy’s instagrams
@@edendorra7231 Bitter of what? Mark was the easy vote for best player. He played a role in most of the players being on jury so if they would be bitter towards anyone it would be him. They just put emotions aside and voted based on game. If you want to see an actual bitter jury watch Lee losing to Kristie.
What you mean is, see a bitter juror reward a man. Post season jurors were talking about how a lot of the dudes on the jury kept shouting over the women in FTC

I agree. Poor Shay. She made her first move so very early in the season which was Briana’s blindside, she was in a position where she was the easier vote, she won individual immunity for red, she lost Ben just before merge, she was given her few voted the night Khanh was blindsided, she won her second individual immunity throughout the season, she was sent to Purgatory and managed to get back in the game along with Kj and Jordie, she banded with them as “The Little Band Of Misfits”, she was on the bottom after Jordie’s elimination but won her third individual immunity, she lost Kj, she won the final immunity challenge and took out Josh and made it to the final three, so I definitely think she deserved it more.
This season was…a bit lackluster. It had good moments here and there, but overall, it was just a bit boring. A lot of predictable votes, and the editing made votes/ the winner very predictable at times as well. Plus, too many under-edited players as usual. There’s no excuse for giving someone ZERO confessionals, or not even getting one until merge. That, and I really hated the non-elimination twists, which also resulted in a stretch of episodes once purgatory started, that were REALLY boring.

This season wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Probably the definition of the most mediocre season I’ve seen. The premerge was fun, but once we got to the merge it got pretty boring, and I stopped watching until the final 6. I’m just glad Mark won, because he deserved this win.

Shay 'survived' countless tribal council votes and an eviction. But still survived, a lot of which was her amazing immunity wins. True fans rate her as a beast, who deserved to be crowned. The other player just coasted through by constantly being protected by a big, strong alliance. Which meant he rarely even got a council vote against him. Plus he lost me by continually lying about his second idol, which is cheating. Shay was dudded.
