Awesome video! Thanks for not playing around and instead getting it open! As an owner of a Model B who has taken it apart also, I was very curious to see inside a model C and I can’t wait to reserve one for myself in the future!
@@Malehanger I’ve reserved myself to knowing I’ll never get one. It’s not a money issue. It’s an availability issue. So, here we are. Wait! What the hell is your name? I’m good. No problems with my “hanger.”
Actually, Brandon in email support at G&G HAWK says it's the "rear torsion spring". It puts pressure on the de-lock when the blade is closed to keep the blade closed. I got a few extras even though it's a low wear part for good measure.
They absolutely did not put the blade from your model b into your model c. The cut outs for the locking mechanism in the blade itself are completely different between the two models. It was very kind of Gavin to send you a single edge blade when they weren’t in production, but it definitely isn’t the same one from your model B.
You're showing your ignorance my man. You are referring to a Model A. The Model B and C share blade lock mechanism designs and specs. As I say in this video... I've owned all 3. Still doubt? Reach out to G&G HAWK support vs continuing to make yourself look silly here. @musicisevil @@musicisevil
With the screw under the grip clip: Once it's back in position to turn back into it's hole in the strike plate under the handle scale, you must press the grip clip down (due to tight hole tolerance in grip clip) to properly align the screw with its' hole...and then tighten the screw while keeping the grip clip depressed. I guess you could wedge something under the clip before reassembly to make it simpler. A little bit of a trick, but again, just goes to show the tight tolerances and QUALITY in this knife!

Thanks for the tour of the insides. They're not legal here, so that was as close as I can get to one. 😅
Still waiting... just to get on the wait list. Looks amazing!
After owning the other models, I honestly feel the Model C is the best.

@@actor4nyc lol all good man. Yes sometimes I reply on my business account. I own Malehanger
The mystery spring goes with the lock pin , to stop blade play in retracted position.

Looking forward to seeing what the knife looks like internally. Thanks for the video.
I show in this video

Lol no. It's definitely the blade from my model B.
lol no… Compare the video to the g&g disassembly video. It’s obvious if you have eyes

Getting the mod style with this one
i wanted your model b...
I have a pristine unused, uncarried batch 9 Model B I’m selling. Marbled CF and heat treated Ti hardware. Let me know if interested!
Is the Carbon glued??
I’d like to know this as well.
Don't know. Maybe
Anyway, it is a very solid and well made knife.
I’m on the mail list hoping to get one
Why You do That? 😱😱
Do what?
Because it's fascinating. 😂
Sucks it’s not the prototype 1-40
Why wouldn’t you get the dagger 🙄 . Thumbs down 👎🏻
As said in the video, I prefer single edged blades AND I had G&G HAWK put my Model B blade in my Model C.
Maybe don’t have ur address (54 Eagle Landing Dr, Flintstone, GA 30725) showing on the box homie🤣
Oh I don't care "homie", that's also my business address thanks.
