Yes, you can leave it closed to have more pulp in the juice but there will be pulp build up inside the juicing bowl because some of the pulp will not go through the filter. At some point you will need to open the outlet to let this pulp out.
This is the same as the HU-600 that is available in Europe. This one is 110V for use in North America and is the latest model.

Can you juice anything with the pulp lever closed to get more fibre in your juice?
I bought it in the states and it works perfectly with a transformer here in the Netherlands. Electricity is electricity.. A good transformer would just give the same output as 110v in the states. Ofcourse they would like you to buy the more expensive model over here in europe but there is no logical reason to do so.
Is there a reason why only North America can? Couldn't we use a transformer for the plug, and wooptie now we're using it in Europe too? :)
This model can only be used in North America. I don't know why the price difference.
Currently this model is only in North America, I don't know if and when it will be available elsewhere. Using a transformer is not recommended by the manufacturer.

Yes, we only sell 110V for North America. I am sure you can find this on the web in Europe.
