What should PUBG do to balance the DBS?
Put it back in supply crates.
they should add a little cooldown between two shots
They didn't know it was OP, because no one ever picks it up, I always do and piss people off, but other than myself I only see it in ranked mode in hands of very good chinese players
More damage drop off at range. Slow the time between shots.
Reduce its damage range

@@eXcalibre_ They are guaranteed to spawn en masse at all the gondela stations so you dont need to spend a ton of time looting for them. High potential for lots of kills and resupply.

@@Bt512_ I dont think you know what dps means. It has a higher dps then P92, R45 and R1895. Its a full auto mini submachinegun with 40bullets at a extended mag. You can miss 80% of your bullets and still take down the enemy. Fully equipped its OP af
Played for the first time in years yesterday and loot was everywhere. Was fully equipped from just one building. I can remember in years past running from the circle and not everyone in the party even had a gun.
Pubg in year one was like a different game haha, good old days of the full auto M16 and the M249 with an 8x...but looting to get that was such a hassle sometimes, I remember me and my brother were playing a duo and it got to phase 3 before we even found a backpack...it wasn't even spawn loot, we had to kill another duo to get it 😂
PC NA has a very small player base, so it's extremely difficult IMO. Console is actually really healthy in NA.
PUBG EU (PC) has many more players and not everyone is a 3000 hr. "professional." Just an FYI if you're just getting back in and want to know the layout of my experience.
@@rpospeedwagon just to add onto that, pubg EU on console isn't incredibly healthy, compared to NA, the wait times can be a bit of a joke hence why I only play with my mates from NA

Yeah, I remember when it first started you played every game with some different random gun, usually with optics you hated. And sometimes you were going into top 20 still with a level 1 helmet. Remember we had looting patterns, like hit all the god buildings and warehouses on the west side of Los Leones just to get a decent loadout?

Man...years ago I remember looting whole towns and still not having any optics. Finding an 8x was like winning the lottery 5/6 years ago. Let alone if you happened to find a scope + an actual bolt rifle. If you have a favorite weapon combo, you can usually find it now days and get it fully equipped by the end of the first circle.

The days when you would loot 5 houses and it was all shotguns and pistols, lol. Don't forget when clothing spawned on the ground as well.
@@Sweetguy1821 The clothes were the worst. Trying to pick up attachments and accidentally swap out your fing pants. Or purposefully not wearing shoes, only to put some on.
Honestly, a game mode where only handguns and shotguns spawned might be interesting

Nooooo, DBS is just fine as it is. Ok, sometimes you get a one shot but often you need 3 shots, too. So it is balanced enough plus spawn rate is now lower. 😆
Shotgun blast to the knees is going to put someone down with one shot every time!
dps is strange.. people just not used to use shotguns that much. as a crate gun, people often left it there. most people want m4 or beryl for close range.

Man it's stupid when you have 4 6x's in one building or multiple 3 vests and helmets. Half the fun of this game was being stoked to find a Kar with the 8x. Nowadays I'm sitting there trying to decide which fully kitted weapon to choose from all in the same building or compound.

I feel like loot should be dependant on the size of team.. Solo's should have lower loot and you actively have to move buildings/compounds to gather items and squads should have hella loot as its more action based.
The feeling years ago when you out sniped a guy who had a 8X scope with your 2X was awesome.. Especially when you went to lot him and found out he had it.

I like the dbs as is. I like that shotguns are strong close range options. IRL shotguns fuck people up at pretty decent ranges. I always hated how other games think shotguns only are lethal up to 5 meters or so.
about the dbs thing. I dont know, Jacky. Its a shotgun after all. Iis doesent have the best gandling, so it should have a bit fire power, after me. Like the others shotguns. There its that shotgun, i domnt know its name, with only 2 shells. You can fier those 2 shells pretty fast and its still powerfull. Also, keep in mind that you are a pretty good player. Many times i died with the dbs in my hand only because im not that relly good and im playing only for the seek of of playing and for fun
If it were imbalanced; you would be playing with it (always), pros would be playing with it, and your mom would be playing with it. The win rates dictate what is overpowered and DBS is simply not up there. I know I'm posting this 3 months late but nothing has changed and it shouldn't.
DBS is woefully overpowered. Stuff is nuts, within 10m its a one shot kill through lvl 2 armor.
The DBS is broken in the hands of a pro maybe, but it’s overall not going to be any better than an m4 or an AUG. Also, relatively few people use it. On top of that, it’s not nearly as unbalanced on console, just PC.
Is the DBS different on console?
@ETRuth not in its numbers or function. Rather it's the aiming of it. Thumbsticks without any aim assist mean DBS is just not as good.
@@etruth116 no, it's the same but consoles don't have aim assist so it makes a lil hard to hit.

too. much. loot. PUBG used to be really difficult. Sure, you would rage because you get killed because there were no weapons spawning in... but it made it all the more intense. Now it just feels too easy to drop in and loot up. Win some and lose some I guess.
We need more 1 vs squad content. Thrilling and epic play. Chicken just a bonus

I like the fact there is lots of loot. Getting killed right away without being able to find a gun gets old fast , especially when you consider the time it takes to get into a lobby then the actual game.
I would really love to see the damage profiles of the DBS and the S686 switched. The double barrel should have the longest damage drop off range and highest damage. This would nerf the DBS but still makes it viable.

I hate the parachute is always on now. It was a good feeling pressing a team and boxing them in. They either stand and fight or get whooped. Now they can just tuck and run and get out of it

The DPS is only overpowered at close range, at medium range you're better off with an AR, and for that reason it's not used by many players. I say leave it as it is, a deadly close range weapon but a questionable choice for open combat.

I think that good and powerful weapons should be made rare. The bad solution is to weaken and dumb down good weapons.

DBS is good in relatively close combat, it's kinda shit mid range.. It's not like you can just DBS and win everything otherwise everyone would do it.. I don't think it needs a nerf because almost no on use this gun.. Whenever anything is "too good" everyone use it but I feel the DBS got a huge downside in big open areas and is mostly good in specific situations whilst an AR works anywhere etc.. Thoughts? xD
I love going DBS/VSS (with optional canted sight, if i'm in the mood), it's a great combo :D
DBS is very powerful but almost no players use DBS in endgame. They've reduced the drop rate of shotguns by 30% and I don't think they'll do anything more. Even if this weapon is stronger, I still do not believe that people will use shotguns in endgame.
Just to prove you wrong I just chicken dinnertimed a couple matches over the weekend and used shotguns to close it out
@@josephbrady711 I'm talking about majority, also I can win using dbs and mini-14. dbs is extremely strong, 2 hits are enough for people at 50-60 meters. Mini-14 is already an extremely powerful dmr, they can do everything together :D

"dbs is too powerful" it doesn't need a nerf because it's rarely used. I can't remeber the last time I've came up against it.
the DBS damage for the legs is 12.5 multiplied by the pellets that hit which is 9 max so, you did 112.5 damage to his legs.
DBS is only overpowered in the hands of a skilled gamer such as WackyJacky

but isn't that the concept of shotguns? Deadly on short distances, but almost useless on distances beyond 20-30m? That said, the DBS ist probably still a bit to strong for a non-air-drop weapon and probably deserves a nerf. But it is difficult because of course it still needs to hit hard because that's what shotguns do and always have been doing in every other shooter game. Else shotguns become useless and could be removed altogether.
There isn't really a good way to balance shotguns. Almost no FPS has done it perfectly.
I would personally remove shotguns entirely as they aren't easy to balance, and making them rare just makes dying to them feel bad.
0:03 in 2023 they who still say that pubg is just looting and running, they dont know how to play the game. If you have to loot your lvl 3 backpack and get it full of stuff, get all the best stuff to your weapons and then you RUN to the circle, they just play this game in the way that they can just blame themself. There is a reason why there are vehicles.

I used to love playing solo squads, it was fun the one time I did a 4 player squad wipe. I'm not very good though, I always loved taking out one or two guys to reduce a group of friends will to continue playing.

i tried dbs few times every time i die, and even knock off the helmet of the other guy and he didnt die... very buggy waepon ... 4 shots from less than 5meters and no legs hits, same result i die .... stupid waepon !

If you shoot someone in the legs with buckshot and you hit the femoral artery, he dead.
