Hi Kip - we have just purchased this model after a fair bit of homework. We have a Sage Creatista Pro and absolutely love it but also want a bean to cup machine. Loved watching your review (and your excitement! 😂 over a cup of coffee). It’s fair to say it is a considered purchase (we managed to get it at Very on a Black Friday deal for £994) - but nonetheless, and following your review, it really does look a great machine - thank you
Thanks for that Kip! I have had the Sage Duo Temp Pro for a few years and have really enjoyed it- no problems. If it packs in, I’ll look to upgrade to this 😊
I bought this machine a few months ago and agree with you on the coffee it produces. It's fantastic. Have you cleaned the grinder yet? It's a bit of a faff but I would recommend doing it when you change beans which for me is about once a month based on a 1 kg bag of fresh beans. If you don't you might find the grind can become a bit inconsistent.
Thanks for the video Kip, just watched all of it. Ordered the machine (before watching your video, so binging videos now)+ordered sage puck sucker + thinking of ordering the Sage milk pot with the measurements. :)
Not on any planet in the universe is a coffee machine worth that amount of money! Not my money, at least. That's insane. Did you pay for that yourself or was it sent to you for review? I don't know anyone who would spend money like that on a coffee machine. Enjoy! 🤣🤣 I would choke on every cup... 😕
@@kiphakes I will, or probably should have straight away, but I am in the middle of something - I'll watch it this evening. Or in the middle of the night, more likely! 👍
Well, later than expected but I have now watched the full video. My question has indeed been answered but I won't reveal the answer. Watch the video if you want to know, folks! 😁 I do like a good cup of coffee but I couldn't enjoy it at that price - a simple grinder and press is good enough for me. But I guess if you have such disposable income, the price doesn't matter and throwing away some beans during that setup process isn't going to matter either. Maybe when you have more experience with it you will get a feel for it and your settings will be closer to where they need to be. For me that would be too much of a faff. EDIT: I suppose you could keep a chart of settings for the various beans that you try, if you like to try different coffees from around the world. I hope it serves you well.
@@budgetmerch I feel you’re right. It might be for the folks who spend lots of money on their Starbucks, for instance. You’d end up saving loads. And: Some people spend money on other things. It might be ok for them, too.
I first read the video title as 'SEGA BARISTA' and thought 'ohh Kip's gotten hold of a rare prototype from the 80s' haha.
Hahah - alas, no! :)
Thank u for this great information so helpful !!! have never had a sage but u have converted me thank u
Definitely going to get one ❤

Awesome! Thanks for the tip!
Can you save settings to a new name so you can just choose those settings with one touch?..
Yes 👍🏼
Anyone know if you can adjust dosing size in this machine down to 18 grams?
I wonder if the tamping mechanics will state its off
You can turn off the Intelligent Dose function in the menu and set a manual grind time.
Pressurised and the non-pressurised baskets.

@boxhunters enjoy! One of the best purchases I’ve made!
