    Thanks for this clear and concise run-through :) I shared it on my socials.
    You likely already know this, but just as you were publishing this video, Google came out and stated that they're retiring GBP's messaging feature in July of this year.

      Thank you so much for sharing the video on your socials; I really appreciate it! 😊 And thanks for the reminder about GBP's messaging feature!
      For those of you reading this, (in case you missed it) Google recently announced that they will be winding down Google Business Messages on July 31, 2024. While this may be difficult news for some, Google stated that as they continually improve their tools, sometimes difficult decisions have to be made. No action is required for brands and partners who use Google entry points for Business Messaging. However, those using brand-managed entry points, such as a URL or web widget, should replace them with an alternative messaging option by July 15, 2024, as new conversations will stop being created after this date.

    I know a lot of remote business owners that are having a tough time getting a GBP. They work from home running a legit business and really would like to be the local go-to person in that category. I wonder if Google will change their mind on helping freelancers/remote workers if they provide they are a legit business. They are frustrated to be left out. :/

      I understand the frustration. Currently, Google Business Profile focuses on businesses with a physical location or those that travel to serve customers. However, freelancers and remote workers can still optimize their online presence through other means. Keep an eye on updates, as Google’s policies can evolve. In the meantime, building a strong online presence with a professional website and active social media profiles can help attract local clients.

      A google business profile will not help non-local traffic find them anyways. They are only triggered by local searches. If they do want to be their "local go-to person", then they certainly can create a Google Business Profile configured as a Service-Area Business. They just need to do all the regular red tape things that are appropriate in their area for starting a business, such as registering it with their state, province, municipality or whatnot, and getting whatever license they may need. In most places, this is a pretty easy and cheap process.

    Great insights. But I have a doubt here. What if I have multiple locations for the same store and want to be found for those addresses?

    • @semrush
      @semrush  Місяць тому +1

      Adding multiple locations to your Google Business Profile is easy. Just follow these steps:
      1. Create a location group: Log in to your business profile, select "Businesses" in the top left corner, then "Create Group" and "Add Locations."
      2. Add multiple locations: Choose "Add Location," then "Add Single Business" and enter the details for each location.
      This way, you can manage all your locations from one place and keep your information up-to-date for high engagement.
      Hope this helps!

    what if two different businesses operates in a same office address, and both needs to list the same address, would it effect negatively?

    • @semrush
      @semrush  Місяць тому +1

      No, it won't affect your Google Business Profile negatively if two different businesses operate at the same address. Just make sure each business has its own distinct listing with accurate and unique information like the business name, phone number, and business category. This helps Google differentiate between the two businesses and ensures both can be found by customers searching for their specific services.
