Many VR games have proximity chat, both for team and enemy players. It opens up some hella toxic situations, but hot damn if it ain't amazing. Like yelling at someone to come out of a camping spot and hearing a distant "No." is the best.
Wirtual talking about voice chat awakened an old memory from my time with Ring of Elysium, a BR that died out pretty fast. When they put in this particular new game mode, for whatever reason, squad chat broke pretty bad and on a couple occasions I was able to both hear and talk to people *in totally different matches*. Same game mode, same map, same location, different match. It led to a surprising amount of hilarity, and was definitely a highlight of that otherwise pretty awful game mode. XD
Yeah, there's no way that people don't get yelled at when they crash, or if they're consistently at the back. It's frustrating when you're losing because your team got the really slow guy, but it's not their fault.
Why tf would they make it teams though? Everyone knows team games are EXTRA toxic, and yet this game which is PERFECT for solo ranked somehow gets turned into a team game? it makes no sense
idk, thinking of league of legends, for some reason I feel like normal games are the most toxic. Most players who actually wanna play the game you find in ranked.
I don't like ranked in TM, tbh. I feel like, because it's so hard to rank up, you get a lot of people in the same rank as you that are actually way better than you that are getting held back by the system, which in part makes it harder for the less skilled players to climb at all and makes it feel more luck-based than anything.
Also the fact that it keeps dropping good players down into the lower ranks at the start of every season means that anyone who isn't grinding like a maniac is going to be consistently out of place. They need to incorporate placement matches or look at some of the more modern ELO variants that include uncertainty to more quickly place people like Wirtual at a rank that is at least roughly correct. Having these world class drivers in bronze just ruins the experience for actual bronzies and teaches them that they shouldn't bother because they're not going to get matched fairly. This isn't the fault of any of the players, it's just Nadeo's using a bad system.
Yeah I feel it's especially broken this season. Last season I got to silver 3 and stay between S2 and S3 and matches mostly felt fair. This season I guess it's still too early, I got to almost silver 2, today I played went back down to mid bronze 3. I was matching with people with bronze and silver 1 with Echelon 8 ranking... I also feel that the black tracks at Silver 1 is too intense, I can be competitive on blue and red tracks, but getting a black track with Silver 3 players the skill difference is just too big right now. Jumping from green to black will probably scare off a lot of people, personally I am not consistent at all on 21 and especially 24 and feels bad for my team. When I got back to bronze I either got in matches with really better people, or absolutely destroying actual beginners... Not fun for anyone involved. It's sad because I was having a lot of fun with MM the last two months of fall. @@neomone1989 I agree, I think the season reset should consider the player echelon for the starting rank with a bigger gap not just bronze 1 2 3 , that would reduce a lot of the early season shenanigans. Like Echelon 2 should be bronze 2 and echelon 7 be Gold 1 and so on. I know echelon is not a perfect correlation to skills, but it would reduce the mismatch by a lot!
Yeah I remember deranking from silver until I physically couldn't lose points anymore, all in a single play session, despite consistently being #2 in the lobby but just consistently got teammates who couldn't even finish or just instantly DC'ed.
@@matthewgoodman434 why did they make a solo racing game into a team game? it makes no sense, there literally isn't any teamwork in this game, you're just being held back by worse players for no reason.

I think seeing professional national teams would make for a great esport experience! Wide map pool would allow each individual in the team to shine with their specialities, which instantly makes the players feel more relatable and interesting. Even if I have no idea who the Norwegian players are, casters noting who is the best in a specific style of map just differentiates them very well.
I like that the person who does the best also doesn’t take a hit even if you loose, would be nice in a game like rb6 where it feels like I win once, get 50 points, then my teams I get just loose 10 games in a row so I’m back to zero lol
It only works here because it isn't a team game and you can't impact your team performance. In competitive shooters, that would just encourage individual performance. Who would want to plant the bomb, flash for the team, be the entry, etc. If it just means you're sacrificing your own performance for your teams? People who bait and chase kills are annoying enough as it is in competitive shooters but at least the game doesn't encourage that type of play. Not to mention, you could force your team to lose to finish in the top position. Plenty of reasons why they don't add it.
@@pagatryx5451 Funny that you talk about shooters and that they don't really reward people just going dor kills, but I have a feeling they still do. Like for CoD, in Domination, you still get a lot of points for killing and way too little for actually capturing the points. You should get like 50 for a kill and 150 for a capture, but now it's not rewarding, pointwise, so at the same time XPwise, to actually play for the win

Getting ELO points out of a low pool (few players) is loads harder te smaller the group gets. Lets say the average ELO is 1500 and you have 10 players. It's a lot harder to get 2000 ELO from them than when you are playing with 1000 players. So getting out of Bronze (if that depends on a certain fixed ELO rating) is tough. If the player(s) want to try and ELO-feed, then they need to play atleast 10 matches + score well against others to bump up the total ELO-pool.

Reseting ranks this hard is so broken and stupid, I was master 1 close to master 2 two seasons ago, didnt play too much in the last campaign and got relegated to bronze 1 lmao. And I was playing against players like Kadabu, Kandzsika, H3llomarc, Keyzo, Chris, Bronco and few others (funnily enough, two seasons ago I was playing against them a lot in master 1/master 2 games, especially Bronco who was top1 in ranks at that time) in the same match with players who literally just launched the game and had like 2 bronze trophies. I struggled badly to keep up with the pace of those really high level players and we all were like 2-3 seconds faster than those new players. I cant even imagine how frustrating it must be for new players when theyre trying to learn the game on the lowest rank possible and they face guys constantly finishing with times good enough for like top300 in the world
Wirtual, not anything to do with this specific video but I know you talk about how wallbangs arent allowed in trackmania competition because its "not realistic", but didnt know if you knew about Ross Chastain in NASCAR who did the wallride to win about a year ago.

I once played trackmania with a guy, probably from the USA because of his flag and name, that kept being racist against me and my friends (all brazilians). It was the sweetest victory I had in this game, but voice chat would've made it worse, I think.
Love the ranked content
0:00 If I’ve ever seen rack in trackmania?
I’m new to track mania,so the action key question, it’s like your lowering your steering sensitivity?
More ranked asap pls
13k hours over 10 years means he has played trackmania for 3.56164384 hours a day, over 10 years
6:10 Wow I was exited to see the Result and you just cut it out :(
100% team chat would be toxic when people make mistakes.
Is there a playlist of the background music?
Next title: I played Trackmania COTD to prove how good I really am... and I win it.
Imagine the proximity chat when wirtual got the world record.
9:20 certain symbols are prioritised more than letters alphabetically
2:28 I wish LoL had that xD
Imagine a voice chat with a bunch of racists...
I mean racers
Good reference 😂
for me the mvp rule is really good. since you cant flame your team for losing points :)
just get mvp
7:48 actualy this is not true. i had so many matches with tie times and i didnt got the point with the better letter C than for an example Z. i also posted this on the TM discord and they all confurmed me this is actualy not the case anymore. and it was back in summer campain
this game looks so fun, is it worth start playing now?
The thumbnail reminds me of my rocket league rank lol
The first game, F6_T is #1 in my state, and my arch rival.
I did some calculations and wirtuall has spent 3,424557 hour/per day since he started playing TM
how do you keep the camera looking straight when ice sliding? my camera follows the back of my car so i cant see shit when ice sliding.
Anyone know the song @ 14:19?
I text in that claw technique from call of duty
Bronze 3 player getting WR. Guess no one has hunted that level yet. 😉
Joking aside, I'd love to see more of ranked play on the channel! It's fun!
At 4:36 bro said he has 13,000 hours on track mania over 10 years. That’s an ungodly amount of time. Am I hearing that clip correctly or not?? I’m shocked. Like breaking that math down of how much time he’d have to play every year it doesn’t seem real. I think I got trolled.
that moment when you decrypt that Japanese club name
They should do a would cup where each country battles eachother
AAA? I know that guy, he's got a score in every Arcade
Hey, community. What do you guys set the boundary between noob and pro? Silver 1, or something like bronze 3?
