Truth as far back as when I was a kid and we lived on Bayshore Blvd in 1964. Water came right up to our door. I remember big banana spiders floating on top of the water.

It's literally on the shore why are people driving they don't know it's a category 3 hurricane? What where is the 150 mph winds?

Our local government keeps increasing the taxes to resolve this. I'm sure we will continue to see tax increases to address this. It was like this 25 years ago.....

I remember when it happened back in the 70s. I dont remember the name or the year but I seem to think it was after 75. I remember the foliage was dead from the sea water afterwards and as you drove up Bayshore, for weeks following the storm, you could see just how high the water had been by the line of dead plants and trees.

Everybody needs to stop! You can’t be this gullible and ignorant to think people are trying to drive through this road. It’s the news reporters trying to get views. Those cars would be going into the bay. 😂 If you believe this you are as ignorant as they come. I love how she said “Since we last talked to you guys we’ve seen close to a dozen cars try to drive this way” (No cars seen…) Personally stopped 4 or 5 people and she is nowhere near the actual action. Clearly not a Floridian but thanks for the insight. All in for the clicks and views. Angels on the ground 🤣

This is really stupid, reporters do not have to be out in the rain to report it. (Did you ever think of that? ) You can do the same report by being inside a building with the camera looking out the window. Or in a news van with the camera pointed out the window. I know this has been a long time tradition in reporting to over dramatise the situation...very stupid while you wreck your Mics in the rain. The best was..when a reporter was standing like he was bracing himself against the wind, while a couple behind him was just casually walking by like no wind struggle at all, and gave the reporter away as a phony. LOL.
