I liked it when you said that you would want to share both your wins and losses.
I've never thought of taking the Golf bags straight to Play it Again for a trade in, good idea. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, I’m a college student and I’ve been flipping iPhones and other devices off Facebook and onto eBay. Great profit with very little work, definitely recommend it to people who want to make an extra buck or two!
He buys shoes... My entire inventory fits in a shoe box :-) I'm a full time RV guy, I envy the storage space Hairy has...yet my shoe box life has pushed my sales higher by cherry picking the best and leaving the low yield volume to others. Props to those who got the stamina to grind it out with volume, but I got limited space and need to make it count.
I dunno why but I find this oddly satisfying to watch
Love the effort with the reusable bags !
Damn, i wish more Ebay buyers vlogged. that way i'd know or get a feeling that the Xboxone i might buy wont be 2 bricks and a half melted box of skittles in an xbox 360 box.
Josh! You have inspired me to go out and start sourcing hard goods. It’s something I don’t do very often so I really need to just go out and give it a try. I’m actually listening to your videos right now as I’m thrifting!
Ps I think you were one of my first subscribers on my channel, so I thank you for that! I took a break from uploading for a while but now I’m really putting in the effort and it’s been so much fun!
Keep with the good videos :)
Hey! I saw your recent video where you picked up that HP ink! Hardgoods are really nice to flip, just takes a bit more knowledge and packing.
Best of luck to you!
The Goodwill in my town charge 20+ for used shoes.. It's so annoying...
It is supposed to be cheap for people who cannot afford brand new shoes...20 bucks is too much. I like small thrift stores because Goodwill charges too much I think.
Try 100 dollars for columbia jackets at the value village in canada...
10K! Not too bad for a guy that was thrifting on his lunch break 6 months ago. Congrats Buddy
@@aarong7519 An impossible question to answer. Depends on where you live..how much you have to invest..etc etc..there are many other avenues besides thrift stores to consider. Just look everywhere for things to flip for profit. Best answer I've got..Good luck
Hairy Tornado aka Josh, love how you are so down to earth, open and transparent with all ya do. You are inspiring me to be a successful reseller.
Keep up the great work. Thanks again for all ya do
bro big ups for the reusable bag, really appreciate you being responsible and setting the example
This was actually really interesting to watch. Thank you for being transparent about everything too! Hope to see more of these in future. Definitely subscribing
Love your videos! Short and to the point. I really like how you explain your thinking behind a decision. That is super helpful.
I love the shipping edits! Very cool! Congrats on 10k subs! Your content is amazing brother
Great Tip on cutting down the shoe box. I’m always adding packing paper. You the man!
I was screaming, "DON'T DO ITTTT" when you picked up the GoVideo Combo! Lol. I've had the same model listed forever and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it! So props to you for not falling victim to buying a combo for the sake of finding one! Also, didn't see if anyone had already mentioned, but I like the packaging editing you did! Looks cool!
This was a fun watch, Josh. Thanks for sharing your numbers. It really helps to see expected profits off of items sourced! Happy 2020 to you and yours, and I couldn't mean it more when I say HUGE congrats on surpassing 10,000 subscribers at such a rapid pace, man! You're killin' it. :)
The hoka shoes are pronounced "onay onay" it's weird pronounciation, but they are my favourite running shoes of all time. Great video!
Not only do I love watching your videos, I have learned a lot from them!! Now, I wish I was physically able to do it!
That Salvation Army looked like my local Goodwill, only those Reebok’s woulda been $29 and the Birkenstock’s woulda been 39$!
Papillio are a ssignificantly cheaper Birk line. Not worth anywhere near real Birkenstock proces. I think he was smart to pass on them.
For a short time a few years ago, I worked in a convenience store. Whenever someone came in and bought rolling papers, but no tobacco, we knew why.
Great video! Honest, informative, and useful. Don't be shy with the profits made from sales part...that's really what everyone is waiting for!
I just stumbled across your channel yesterday and super glad I did! My wife and I also thrift and sell on eBay down here in Charleston, and after seeing your videos she seems to think you’re the upstate version of me! We look for almost all of the same items, but your vids have opened my eyes to other areas I usually would overlook. I also have a “route” system of thrift stores I use on days where my regular work is slow. It’s inspiring to see that you’ve switched to thrifting full time. It’s something I’ve often considered but haven’t gone for just yet. If you ever want to make the trip down I’d be happy to share my route! There’s plenty of them in 20 mile radius!
Yessss! there it is @4:19 "he's super lazy and sleeps in weird positions" 🤗
[The rest of your video is ok too] 🤣🤣🤣
The goodwill by my place literally prices items more than eBay lol like not even kidding. I mean I still find shit they miss but yeah it’s real
Same here. Wish I could find some shoes like that for $6.50 in my area Goodwill and other thrift stores usually price shoes at or like $5 below ebay prices.
@@thriftforfreedom gross...you don't wear used shoes...or pants. That's straight up nasty.
I'm addicted to your videos, so much great content and so honest with your sales and flops. Thanks!
Thanks for the play it again sports trade-in tip. Didn't know about that one :)
I love how informative your videos are! Great job ☺
I can not believe your channel has grown from 10,000 subs to over 300,000 in 2 years 🤯 mind blown. That’s amazing . But your videos are amazing so I see why it has. Keep up the awesome work 🥰
Good video, thanks for taken us along, now your over 10.6K, Congrats!
I really enjoy watching your thrift halls at Goodwill. This gives me ideas what to look out for. 😊
YAY! Congratulations on your BIG milestone! This was a fun video - wishing you speedy sales👍
I would have picked up that Hamilton Beach milk shake maker. Looked like a newer issue and not a vintage but still. It was a desirable color too.
You seem like a very good dude who knows their stuff and providing overall quality content so...count me in as a new sub. Lookin forward to more thrifting vids! Congrats on reaching 10k. U will be at 20k in no time.
lmfaooo i relate to having a dog like yours -" he is super lazy and sleeps in weird positions"XD
Machelle Ogle
I sold on ebay about 20 years ago and did really well. Don't know why I quit. Everything I put up sold. Just started again in September, 2019. Little tougher go but I'm getting there. I retired a couple of years ago and got VERY bored. The extra money isn't bad either.
eBay is not like it used to be. Lots of things have changed. Personally probably wouldn't sell there anymore or on Amazon. eBay likely is still good for some people, myself I mainly don't like the way their policies have changed in practical application.
I am loving your videos so much! Looking forward to putting your advise to my own sales game!
I find that shoes can be pretty expensive at the Salvation Army stores. Good stuff, but no profit margin! Love seeing videos like this!
Congratulations on reaching the 10k sub mark! I appreciate content! Huge help to a new reseller!👍
“He’s super lazy, and sleeps in weird positions.” Lol! 😃 Random dog pose
Congratulations on getting 10K subs, Josh!🥳👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Lol Mose 🤣 at our house we call that pose "the bit show" for obvious reasons 👍
Really enjoyed this video. Congratulations on reaching 10k subscribers
Congrats on 10K sir, I applaud you trying to keep plastic bags out of the landfills, I recently purchased and started using an impulse heat sealing machine that allows me to seal items in these bags, it doesn't keep them out of landfills but does add one more use from them.
Sammie Runner great reuse. I use my sealer to reuse bags also that are usually in the free clean boxes I can source. Lol I think I have told about everybody about it. I feel it ups the presentation quite a bit and usually saves me money as well, the trade off with extra time spent is ok for me. I do tend to not use the grocery sacks or anything that looks like a garbage bag. So many other options available including making whatever bags I need from sheets of plastic, bubble wrap, shrink wrap (I tend to use on higher priced games, dvds, and other boxed items), and for more of the unique factor, sheet foam including sill plate foam gasket and after holiday clearance cello wrap (Easter is my favorite with yellows, blues, clear, etc and frilly patterns). Kinda thin so I save for exterior presentation. Hope I maybe gave you an idea that helps. Btw most everything of this I’ve been able to obtain from thrift and dollar stores for less than $2 including my current sealer (the bubble wrap and foam I would use with or without anyhow)
love your channel you have inspired me start reselling online all the way over in the UK you give out some great tips and info keep it up
Gotta pick up those old school callaways next time! Older golfers love em
i never thought to do that with taking finds to play it again sports for better merch. i appreciate your tips so much!!
Hell yeah to the reusable bags!
Hey HT, congratulations on reaching 10k subscribers, keep up the great work!
Love your videos. I just started reselling part time, but it is just so amazing to see transparency. Seeing awesome scores, things that didn't paned out as expected, and bread & butter finds really keeps me motivated and educated. I also like seeing your storage, inventory, and shipping methods. Might feel boring to you, but it's invaluable to folks just getting their feet wet or expanding into new territory. Thank you!
Thank you for that! I sometimes get worried that I'm showing the same stuff too much but I do think it helps people each time
Hi there. I have watched a few of your videos but this one has been the best. Not necessarily in what you purchased or what they will sell for but the fact that you included your time and gas expense. So impotent when determining your profits. BTW at time stamp 12:44 I would so have looked at that greenish stand mixer...lol
I really loved this video- you had me at saying bye, I love you to your dog. Haha ❤❤ Also from here it looks like you made some really good quick decisions- those Birkenstocks are prob worth max what they were charging, and those Sanuks are probably going to make you some decent change.
Congrats on 10K Subs - enjoyed the thriftin’ video!
My new fav channel!! Tons of great info!!
LOVE your channel! I’m having withdrawals from the morning show 😩😂 Congrats on 10K+ subs!
This was a great video I've been having fun thrifting the last few months and it's been a good time!
Congrats on hitting 10K subs. Keep putting in the hours, and I'll keep watching.
*Goes up 5k more* I love that this guy's channel is starting to blow up seems like a pretty chill dude
Geat stuff, Hairy!
Also, that doesnt sound like stock exhaust 😁
Congrats on 10k, watch it fly higher 👍
Great video! Super helpful! And congrats on getting 10K subs 👍🎊
Congrats on 10k!!! I just started posting my own reselling videos. Thanks for all the awesome content.
Very interesting video and nice presentation. Like your effects and cuts. Btw congratz to 11k subscribers!
First off congrats on the 10k subs. I just discovered your channel a few hours ago and enjoy the videos. I too am in south carolina but rarely get to source in your neck of the woods these days. At the 12:49 mark I see a medi-rub 2000 foot massager. Always a solid $50 item for me and I have sold them for $80+ in the past. Just wanted to point it out in case you were not aware. Keep up the good work.
Thanks man! I saw that but I didnt think it was worth much. I stand corrected. I appreciate your hawk eye abilities!
Nice to see a video of bunt singles. sometimes as I watch other resellers it feels like I'm the only one who swings and misses even though I'm sure everyone does. Thanks for sharing.
@@HairyTornado Do you only thrift one day a week because your store is full or because you have a full-time job?
WOOHOO!! And now, 1 year after this video, you're at 86.5K!! CONGRATS!!
Great video and great buy on the hairspray! I never thought that used shoes would sell well but I guess if you buy brand names, you are safe. My husband once found a pair of Mephisto leather shoes in a thrift store that were worth 300 bucks new... He kept them because it was his size but if you were to resell them, I am sure you could get at least 150 bucks
Check out RNZY on instagram. Husband and wife team that make over 100k per year by ONLY reselling used shoes.
Congratulations on your sub growth. Just a little tip that will help you ship shoes. Many shoes with fit in a flat rate padded priority envelope. Only costs $7.35 and it doesn't matter what the weight is. I'm just a veteran eBay seller and thought I'd be helpful. Thanks for sharing your reselling journey. 👍👍😁😁
I do use those for smaller womens shoes or sandals. I think customers appreciate when their shoes come in boxes, rather than envelopes though. Especially if it's a super tight fit. I'd rather just eat an extra $2 or so and ship them in a box rather than squeeze them into an envelope. again, I DO use those for really small shoes that fit in easily, just not for larger ones that require a lot of squeezing
@@HairyTornado oh totally. I usually sell women's shoes so I usually use the envelopes. Yeah the large men's shoes probably wouldn't even fit. It would look funny 😂 trying to cram men's large shoes in those envelopes.
Josh, nice job on 10,000 +, wish you the best in 2020.
New subscriber. I’m also a new seller. Thanks for adding your wins and your losses. A lot of videos don’t mention the downside of selling.
Josh, I just found your channel and I love it. All the info you give is so nice compared to other channels. I currently have 150 items on my eBay and im also learning I'm buying bad inventory. I wanna get into shoes more. Can't wait for the next video and you gained a new sub
Thank you so much! I try to stand out from the competition as much as I can :)
Love the content idea full sourcing day is cool
I bought some samsung speaker surround sound for 32 dollers all together and sold them for 120 dollers 12 hours later. Crazy!!! Good channel
Cool video. Not sure if it was mentioned but the PS3 Guitar Hero controller needs a separate dongle to connect to the system in order to work. In my experience I rarely come across them. The Xbox 360 does not require the dongle.
really great job editing! i was surprised with the instant packaging lol
Just wondering why you did not buy the PING golf bag in the bins. You do a great job with your channel. Keep it up and good luck.
Wow! Your Salvation Army is a bit pricey. That's how my Goodwill is! Love your content! Some fun finds!
Already at 11K by the time I watched this video! Great job, keep up the good work and thanks for giving us a look at what you do!
Congrats on 10k! Just found your channel and really enjoying the videos 😁👍
That guy at the bins.....lololololol..."to grow pot"......so funny!!!
Bro you're videos are amazing great content you just gained a sub brother I seem to binge watch your vids from 1 am to 4-5 am lol
Love the packing transitions!
you should have picked up that chicco carseat base. As a mother of 3 and I know plenty of moms that are a fan of their products. That would have been an easy sale
Hey, do you know you can count your mileage off on your taxes? I just thought I would mention it since you pointed out. Keep up with the great videos!
Yes. I do use the standard mileage deduction of 58 cents per mile, but it doesn't COST me that much. Every time I make one of these videos there is always some dingus in the comments that says something like "aLL yOUr pRoFiTS Go tO gAs". I just wanted to address it ahead of time. It cost me like $5 in real life but I was able to deduct 58 cents per mile (58 times 41 miles = $23.78 deduction)
I dont know why but i got a kick out of the “20$ for used burkin stocks?!” When you’re out here sellin them at those prices yourself😂. Great video. Not sure why it was in my recommended but checkin out the channel now
You have to look at the market you're selling to. The market for the shoes in this single thrift store is small, so they would demand a lower price. When I list the same shoes on Ebay, the market becomes millions of potential buyers. The bigger the audience your item is in front of, the more money it can sell for (potentially). Thrift stores need to realize that their items are zero cost to them and they have a limited market.
Hairy Tornado thats true. Its also outrageous pricing when the pitch of “salvation army” is to resell at low cost for people who are struggling so definite different market. Just thought there was a moment to irony there. Enjoying the videos so far. Definitely subscribing for more content. Keep it up its interesting stuff
I have a thrift shop less than a mile from my place. Clothing is a $1 (no tax) unless marked. Vinyl LPs and CDs are a $1.07 each (with tax). Vintage T-shirts, new baseball hats, and CDs/LPs are my specialities. I've been making a killing and the shipping is cheap for media mail and small soft goods. I'm going to have a little "pop record sale" soon in the parking lot in front of my place - cash is better than PayPal and no eBay photos, write-ups, or shipping. It's like living next to a gold mine.
Like the thrift runs you did. I agree that Salvation Army was ridiculous
Most salvation army's always have over price stuff in my experience
I agree! only thing I've been able to find cheap are the men's tshirts
Just found you couple days ago and already subscribed and love your videos! Thank you for sharing!
You passed by a diabetic foot massager at 12:54 it looked like. Those are worth good money. Doing vicarious thrifting. My state probably won't open for a month.
Really enjoyed your video. Very thorough and informative :) You had me at cost of gas at $2.20 a gallon! I'm in California $3.40 a gallon :( Our Goodwill's are pretty good but getting expensive. Shoes can run from $7.99 - $29.99 I try to only but higher end pcs. in order to make a decent profit. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations on 10K 👍😁👍
As someone who wears 4xlt shirts I'd definitely pick it up..
It sounds mean but I don't intend it to, I'm kinda glad to see some "just okay" finds. I went to about 5 stores and came back with little to talk about. So I'm glad it's not just my local area and will keep looking around.
Congrats for the 10k mark.
Those vintage cleats are from like 2008-2010 one of the best soccer cleats I ever wore! The blue and black ones are da best!
Yeah I knew they were old! I played soccer since I was 6. 25 now haha that’s cool
Glad I stumbled upon your channel. I do this myself and actually find it fun. Especially when you see the profit. +1 subscriber
Man you missed a pair of shadow 1s at 7:10 and also that coogie was dope probably would have sold a decent amount
"You found me?"
"By accident."
😂😂
I always love a good Mose cameo.
