Oh my goodness I stumbled across this interview quite by accident and it’s brought back so many wonderful memories of a younger me listening to and admiring our news readers back in the day. Noreen Welch was one of my favourites and I thought she spoke so eloquently and had a strict headmistress aura about her too. So nice to see you Noreen I was such a big fan of you! In fact a lot of news readers inspired and shaped my elocution to this day as I speak in front of people a lot. My other favourite news readers in addition to the ones Noreen has mentioned were…Colin Harvey, Alice Chavunduka, and Jill Esof especially when she presented Teen Scene! Thank you so much Blue Skies for posting this. I was a Bulawayo girl born and bred and I will follow your channel religiously now! ❤
I was humbled when asked to do the video with Sibo but I would like to remind viewers that I am nearly eighty, sometimes my memories are not too clear and my face is fully paralysed down the right side which makes speaking a little tricky..however there are two brilliant presenters who deserve to be in the top ten of Zimbabwe’s newsreaders, Tsitsi Vera, extraordinarily talented and Alice Chavanduhka equally talented, both of these ladies left a great hole in ZTV that had to be filled. My apologies for missing them out, they were the best we had and tragically we lost them both.
beautiful interview, Noreen is true legend.
Thank you for the great interview of a legend and household name, the great Noreen Welsh.
Incredible, Noreen , such a legacy you left behind for others to emulate
Nostalgic, indeed; I remember Noreen Welch.
What a legend❤
