In this video, The Adventures of TNT reacts to Scorpions song Dynamite from the album Blackout.
What Scorpions song should we do next?
All of them, lol. By the way The guy on the cover is guitarist Rudolf Schenker, Michael Schenker`s brother.
@@ratowey I always thought that too because it looks just like him, but apparently it's not. I forget who they said it was.
Sails Of Charon or He's A Woman, She's A Man are their best 2 songs imo. Both on Taken By Force with Uli/Rudolf on guitars. 1976 if I remember correctly.
When the smoke is going down. You're gonna love that.
Sails of Charon
The cover of Scorpions' 1982 album 'Blackout' was an interesting story ... They had finished recording the album (after Klaus' long vocal rehabilitation after surgery) and wanted the album to be called 'Blackout'... For the cover, they had seen the art of an Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein in major magazine covers - he would make these very provocative pictures (he would later work w/ Marilyn Manson on the artwork for 'The Golden Age of Grotesque' in 2003).
So, Helnwein painted this self-portrait of himself w/ fractured skull, forks in his eyes and going mental... The Scorpions loved it. Of course, when 'Blackout' was being released, the cover art resembled Scorpions guitarist Rudolf Schenker (who had a similar mustache 😂)... The band claimed that at the album's release party, the Scorpions attended w/ Gottfried Helnwein, but Helnwein was clean-shaven by then... Everyone at the party thought Rudolf Schenker was Helnwein and kept asking him to sign copies of the art... They said it was surreal 😂
When 'Blackout' became a hit in 1982, fans all mistakenly assumed that Rudolf Schenker was the guy on the cover... and he didn't deny it at the time - he would put on a partial mask to make him look like the guy on the cover in the music video for 'No one like you' and in concerts. Years later, the Scorpions confirmed that it was Helnwein (not Rudolf Schenker) depicted on the cover, and the resemblance was purely coincidental.
Arizona one of my favorites
Hard to beat old-school Scorpions...and, their stage shows were top-shelf. Besides, anything that has a dude playing that has the last name "Schenker" is a must-listen.
I saw these guys with Van Halen, Dokken, Kingdom Come and Metallica…….they were the best band that day.🔥🤘🏻
Monsters of rock 1988 L.A. Coliseum. I was there.
Yes scorpions were best that day Tampa town monsters of rock
Scorpions sits at the same table as Judas or Maiden
I got to see the monsters of Rock tour in miami and hell yeah!! What a fantastic day that was!!! It rained like hell when Dokken played but no matter...
Yep. Monsters of Rock tour. Saw it at Arrowhead Stadium.
The cover is a self-portrait by artist Gottfried Hellwein, and is a metaphor for his anxheity growing up in post-war West Germany. The Scorpions thought, "Cool, can we use this?" And that was it!
DAMN I haven't heard this song in probably 30+ years. Thanks for bringing back some memories :)
This album is killer as well as many other Scorpions albums🤟🤟
In Trance - Blackout = pure gold
Scorpions Rock!
🔥🎸🤘😎🤘🎸🔥
The best scorpions album ever, greetings from Northern Ireland 🤘🤘
I saw them in concert twice, it was amazing 👏
May 29, 1983 US FESTIVAL Devore California San Bernardino County at Glen Helen Regional Park... Scorpions took the wholeshow. They were phenomenal... ..
This is a classic example of their early material riding the fine line between hard rock and heavy metal. Killer tune.
One of my all time favorite Scorpions bangers. Such a legendary band, they still praise rock and roll around the world, still light em up 👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻
And now supporting Ukrainian Nazis
this was their huge breakout album in the u.s. the Scorps always give both. heavy & raunchy for the boys and sweet ballads for the girls.
My favorite Scorpions album. Great band! 🤘 and Boom goes the Dynamite 💥
You need to see some live versions of these songs. Scorps were truly one of the best live bands back in the days
One of my favorite Scorpions albums - Lovedrive and In Trance round out my top 3
Dude, so correct but Virgin Killers is up there to.
You have got to dedicate an entire live to listening to the World Wide Live album.
That album sounds EXACTLY as the Scorpions are in concert. They are my all time favorite band, they can bring down the house!!!!!! And live with them is better by far!
Love drive is the album that defines the scorpions in my book.
Winds of change,their best!!
The first time I heard this song was when I first listened to the World Wide Live album that I bought around 1986. Such energy this song brings live. That album remains one of my top 5 to this day.
They are phenomenal. Saw them live three times
Me too! Great band
That’s actually a self-portrait of the artist. They used his likeness in the video No One Like You due to his resemblance to guitarist Rudolf Schenker.
Got to see these guys love four times. The first time was at the ‘83 US Festival when they stole the show, even when Judas Priest performed earlier that day!
@@Az777 great idea and plenty of footage to watch and relive that awesome day!
RHYTHM OF LOVE!!!!
When they toured in the 80s this was their opening song
Blackout was the opener in the early 80s when unknown Bon Jovi was the opening act. Still in arenas, complete darkness until they hit opening notes.
Scorpions rocks as always ...
Church credit revoked for this song, most definitely.😆
The man on the cover is guitarist Rudolph Schenker, a drawing of him. He had a mask like that too and came onstage with it.
Critics complained about David Coverdale's lyrics, but compares to this even Whitesnake's Spit it out is subtle lmao
Dynamite is not the most subtle of songs. It emphasizes the hard in hard rock.
Great song!!!
Im laughing my ass off.....The song speaks for itself......I love the deep analysis 😆😆
Definitely one of my favorites in the 80's. Got a bunch of pics of me as a teenager with my Blackout shirt lol
Yeah it’s NASTY!! I was a teenager back then who just heard the chorus: ‘Dynomiiiite!’ and the amazing guitar. Everyone knew the Scorpions were raunchy. It was part of their rock n’ roll rebel appeal.
Another kick-ass 1980s song!
Scorps were always good for some raunchy sexual innuendo. And since English wasn't their first language, they often had some very unusual, and sometimes comical, word play.
Scorpions...dependable hard rock
Love this song 🎵
the old scorpions is the best, try the song (coast to coast) instrumental one. cool vibe,🤘🤘🤘
Many babies were born as a result of this song 💯💯😆
IN TRANCE album ..uli Roth I think the one guitar players name.. scorpions date back to 1965 crazy I know...best 70s hard rock band ..right there with zepplin
Dynamite Scorpions song.😆 If you watch the Scorpions "No One Like You" official video you'll see the guy that is on the cover of Blackout make an appearance.
Am 95% sure that “the guy” in the video to No One Like You (and on the cover) is rhythm guitarist in the band Rudolf Schenker.
@@LordRahl1975 According to Wikipedia, A self-portrait of artist Gottfried Helnwein is featured on the cover of the album. Rudolf Schenker portrays this character in the "No One Like You" music video.
@@metalmark1214 Ah, so I was only half right. Thanks for the information.
I'm reasonably sure this song was the lyrical kraftwork of Herman Rarebell, the drummer, He's about as subtle as a sledgehammer 🤣 .....Also wrote Hurricaine
That’s Rudolph Schenker on the album cover, he’s the rhythm guitarist in the band
first scorpions album i ever bought, heard no one like you on the radio on WTUE (Dayton, OH), and went out and scored the album. that was a pretty trippy cover for back in the day. but pretty much, the entire album crushes. and one thing about records, you knew the whole album, skipping to the next song was not as easy as it is today. you had to walk all the way back to the record player, pick up the needle, then try and move it up to the right spot for whatever song you wanted. if you haven't done so, you really need to check out their stuff with Uli Jon Roth on lead guitar.
That whole album rocks!
Lovedrive is their Alltime Best Album
Ever tried "Alien Nation"? One of their harder songs, but the one of the Scorpions with the best intro!
The title track, The Zoo and Holiday are excellent tracks off this release!
three different albums
Neither of those songs are on this album except for the title track.😂
Okay, my mistake. Although I cannot seem to find it, I got a hold of a CD that had those three tracks on it. I ripped those three plus many others off one CD and put them on my computer. Must've been a 'best of' or 'essentials' CD.
Rock you like a hurricane is a good one!
@--TheAdventuresofTNT I don't know what telegram is. Please elaborate.
one of the best metal live shows I've ever seen from the 80's if they decide to come out of retirement and you can see them,DO IT!!!!! you won't regret it
They were here few months back, new album etc etc
@@Scorpsfan thats Awesome im glad their still going their one of my all time favs.
Dude, I just subscribed because you said "Scorpions" is one of your favorites!!!!
If you listen to the song “Blackout” you hear the glass breaking at the end of the song.
please check studio version UFO - Love to love
You can't go wrong with BLACKOUT. Every song is great. My favorite is NOW! Do that one!
For a killer power ballad their Send Me an Angel is top shelf.
still loving you ,rock you like a hurricane ,the zoo,no one like you ,big city nights --you are welcome
Big things come in small packages. Like dynamite and Klaus.
You 2 will discover many albums best listened to in full in one sitting, I'm sure you've had many recommendations by now, this album in it's entirety is no less worthy. Enjoy. Loud and clear as you can get it.
Live version great to watch!
I went to that black out tour when they were in Seattle it was awesome
I seen them on this tour with Iron Maiden, Loverboy and Foreigner
Those songs from the 50-60s aren't as wholesome as everyone thinks. They weren't as direct/graphic as today (in most cases, though, there are some songs even back then that were), but once you realize "rock" and "rock & roll" were actually euphemisms for sex at the time it really opens your eyes. Replace rock in "Rock Around the Clock" with another well known 4-letter word and all those songs have brand new meanings.
Such an Amazing album!!!
Try UFO. Lights out in london
I am sure you already know by now, Yes they are Forks Over Eyes. I had the elbum.
Rock You Like a Hurricane, Winds of Change, Tease Me Please Me...
Lol, breaking this song down TNT 😂 I’ll never listen to this the same way lol !!
Zoo by the scorpions a great song
Check out the “Zoo” by the scorpions!🎺🎸🥁🧨💣
Rock You Like A Hurricane is my suggestion or Winds of Change but I won't object to Still Lovin' You
I highly recommend dire straits Romeo and Juliet I think you would really enjoy it.
thre's been a few great rock bands to come out of germany,, but to me, the scorpions were the baddest-azz !
It's about time you got to this one!! And we did know exactly what the lyrics were. I think you should check out Whitesnake "Spit it Out"....
❤
As the skinny black kid on Good times says. Dyno-myte.
scorpions money and fame
You should check out Another Piece Of Meat from the Love Drive album. Heavy Scorpions
How about a video of an Ozzy Osbourne song “Killer of Giants” for lyrics, followed up by a song by Genesis “Land of Confusion” for lyrics to depict where we are now in society.
I love how Tasha picked up those lyrics right away, and she goes over them after, and T is like "Wait, WHAAAT??" Hahaha, awesome!
I've had many at time where my neck was sore after eating the meat!
lol
Sois maravillosos, super¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ like👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Great song & good album, but I will always love the 70s era with Uli Jon Roth & Michael Schenker Scorpions the most/best.
Get a room! Lol!
Lol
You gotta react to NOW next
China white s great sing also
Do Corey Taylor 'snuff'
lily and ian
joe scrips house north korean
stainless delorean
PLEASE DO NO ONE LIKE YOU NEXT
Subtle very subtle,,,
Their best album period
After a nite of drinking, he woke up with an ugly person and wanted to rip his eyes out. Blackout!
HAHAHAHAHAHAH.....
Blackout.....dynamite and no one like you a great album
something from the "virgin killer" album. its one of their best. Only don't look at the original albums artwork....its sick and wrong.
This album was my first exposure to them when I was in 8th grade i think. Not even close to the best song on the album. Listen to Arizona or No One Like You on this album.
It is forks, think Clockwork Orange. Rudolf Schenker dresses this way in concert. These guys can barely speak English.
Boring as hell in concert but they great singers
no one like you !
The album cover is featured in the video for No One Like You.
Check that one out! :-)
