I never actually beat this game because the paper craft battles frustrated me that much, but wowza! I still can’t believe this game can be broken like this!
I was able to beat it, but for the longest time I could not beat the Paper Toad Freeze-Out mission. It is one of the last missions of the game, I was nearing the end, and what was stopping me was a stupid Paper Toad hiding somewhere I could not find! I needed a tutorial and the grace of God to beat it!
even with the shroob castle skip in partners in time, this is by far the fastest speedrun of the Mario and Luigi series. How did this one get so broken? XD
This is by far the most broken Mario and Luigi RPG in the series. Superstar Saga comes 2nd, and PIT 3rd, but nothing compares to walking through solid walls at will. The sad part is that this is a really long game without glitches.

Yea, cutscene storage (where you somehow manage to regain control during a cutscene, and can fast forward during gameplay causes some glitchy shenanigans with the trio drill to become possible
This games seems really broken. Why is it so easy to clip into walls? Is there a problem with collision detection/hitboxes? Is something about the Bros. broken?

It fixes some flaws dream team and other mario and luigi games had, but does much worse story wise, it's fun like any mario and luigi game, but you pretty much ignore the story the whole playthrough, there isn't any incentive for exploration either since collectibles (toads and other stuff) are given to you with minigames

Its been a while since I've played, but I believe the trick is to be far enough from the edge and use the trio drill so it ends just right about at that point, forcing you to that outside area.
You have to flick the 3DS stick in kind of an awkward way. Try and mimic what I do with the small taps! Every manual clip in the game is sort of finicky like that but sometimes you can make setups that work better for you! ^^
It’s called IBG (Instant Battle Glitch)! Basically, if you clip out of bounds during a Toad Rescue Mission the game lets you keep some of the Toad Mission assets (such as if you die returning to the Lakitu House) to other unintended parts of the game. Obviously you were never meant to enter a boss with this effect so when you game over and select return to title the game gets confused and just counts the boss as defeated.
Clipping out of bounds during a Toad Mission allows you to enter a boss fight and quit it, which confuses the game and you win the battle. It's called the Instant Battle Glitch.
@@thunderbolt4567 Oh heck :( Those capture cards only work with console games sadly! If you want to record a 3DS directly it requires a certain type of capture card.

How did you fall into a seperate cutscene storage at 37:20? I’ve hit most of the tricks up to this point, but have been struggling with this one because I’m unsure of what to do after the save/reset before going to Neo Bowser Castle again.
We go do the minigame because the game gives you Trio plane. It just assumes you must have it since you have Toad Trail. We go back through the woods to enter a specific toad house, we go to Mount Brrr the first time to get Trio Drill.
I know I'm a little late, but do you think you could do a full tutorial for all the strats used, I can't seem to find one anywhere online and I would like to start practising for a speedrun? Or if you can find a strat guide, could you please reply with the link? Edit: I found one, but it doesn't have all the strats that you used
Miitopia got WAY too repetitive WAY too quick. If they were to make a sequel I want way more battle mechanics, and if not that more mechanics in general. Best thing it had going for it was charm.

Alphadream wasn't given enough time and money
It was rushed so hard, Dream Team was this but higher quality of game.
Guys let's be real. It ain't broken. You only find the glitches if you hunt for them. A broken game cannot be properly played

It’s a detour for the Trio Plane Ability. You need it to to get across the collisionless bridge in the latter half of Bowser’s Castke
