- Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Moscow supports a complete and final end to the Ukraine conflict rather than some kind of truce or cease-fire.
Putin, however, reiterated his demand that Ukrainian forces must withdraw from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions during a press conference in Moscow after meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

If Russians leave, it will be over for Russia. Ukraine will join NATO, demands Russia to hand over Putin and all of his generals and pay trillion dollars for damages. Your comment is illogical. Once a country determines that it will lose the war in the long term, of course it would agree to stop the current fighting so as not to continue to lose more and more. I'm not saying Ukraine is in the position but it's obvious there are situations where agreeing to similar terms is a reasonable choice.
You would if you had no choice and Putin knows it. It's worse in Ukraine than you think. Demographics is fucked, the country is bankrupt, male population is oppressed by it's own government. At some point a bad end is better than endless suffering and I think Ukraine is moving in this direction.

There are symptoms of the real formation and development of Russian state fascism, based on the maniac delusions of self-righteousness and special mission in the world, and characterised by pseudo-religious propaganda and aggressive intolerance to any other ideology.
Russia is the largest country in the world by its territory with huge reserves of natural resources as well as nuclear weapons. Moreover, this situation is worsened by the fact that the aggressor Russian Federation is the permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, the goals of which are “maintaining international peace and security; development of friendly relations between peoples; cooperation in solving international problems and in ensuring respect for human rights; and the coordination and centralisation of the actions of nations. ” Therefore, the foundations of the established world order appear critically damaged. Because of this, the task of the entire international community now is not limited to the termination of war in Ukraine, but is much greater. It has developed into the need of creating a new world order, which would never again allow any country to blackmail the rest of the world with the use of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction.
It is particularly significant that the current crisis around Ukraine is not only political and military, but, above all, has ideological and religious basis. Yet, the specifics of any conflicts of an ideological or religious nature usually determine that their resolving is impossible without the demolition of their ideological or religious background.

Hardly enough man is willing to fight. and a few months ago i was reading article and news outlet talking about how Ukraine is running out of aummination, artillery and missle defense, and how badly they needed the congress to pass the 60 billion dollar bill, which took them close to a year to pass if im not mistaken. There's no way in hell Ukraine would be able to have a successful counter offense.

There was the first week when Russia arrived 30km from Kiev, there was agreement on the table and Russia was told to go back with his army because ucraine would have accepted same thing asked in this video, but Boris Johnson told ucraina that they could win the war so Russia went back and ucraine started to be refilled from the west. Russia could really ended in 3 days if they didn't listen anyone and take Kiev the first week.

Similar to the tactics Polk used to start the Mexican-American War. So one can say that Putin started the war, but only because the US wanted it and provoked it. As far as Kyiv capitulating, likely they won't. Just a few days ago Blinken said that the war would go on for years. Putin and the eastern Oblasts will have to push Kiev out by force as they are now doing in Chasiv Yar.

People aren't the ones that want war. When left to their own devices, most people go about their business and want the same things we want, which is peace with our friends, families and loved ones. When you have leaders with their own selfish agenda, entire nations who would normally never attack each other, end up waging war on each other.
I think the best solution would be for BOTH parties to withdraw troops - make the two disputed zones neutral or ‘shared’ territory. They can have their own border force and everything but not align to either side.
Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts are Ukraine's and *only* Ukraine's territories. Why must Ukraine surrender their territories to be turned into neutral or ‘shared’ territory because Putin demands it? Besides, 'shared' territory will only encourage Putin to invade again in the distant future.

However, if you are speaking of why the troops were mobilized and what lead to the hostile act, then the war began in 2008 during the Bucharest summit. Things just escalated bit by bit till it reached this point. All the way from back in 1991, Moscow had been against NATO expansion. Of course, the Russians were too weak and the West never agreed to that. However, around the time of the Bucharest summit, Russia was starting to recover. They were not going to stand quietly while a territory that they had Russian speaking people were going to also be added onto NATO. So, things escalated. Reality is that if that Bucharest summit never made such declarations, we would not only have no Russo-Ukraine war, but the Russo-Georgian war would never have happened as well. Now, guess who profited from these wars via weapon sale kick backs. When you look at it this way, the instigators and profiteers were not Russia.

He's not even saying anything regarding Odessa, meaning he's willing to let Ukraine have this highly strategical city that will highly contribute to bring their country back up should the war ends.
If Russia just wanted to destroy Ukraine plain and simple, Odessa would definitely be on the negotiating table.
But if Ukraine doesn't want to negotiate at all, then Russia might very well end up taking it the old fashion way, although it will certainly take time, if Western aid doesn't stop that is. As soon as Ukraine runs out of ammunition, Russia will be able to take whatever they want with no resistance.
