I turned Pittsburgh, PA on to this after coming home from NYC while on a Business trip and hit up Fat Beats(think they closed now) and it was playing in the store. Clerk let throw on some headphones and listen more on the display tables. So sick u could do that. Wasn't good enough to cut yet tho in NYC. Also grabbed me a Deftones cassette at Tower as well. Haven't stopped listening to this crew ever since. Glad I found this under Indeleble MC's. Didn't know who else was down with pre Company Flow. Nice man.
Damn this takes me back. Has me thinking what an amazing emcee Breeze(ly) Brewin was. Clear Blue skies is ClasSick Jugganot album. After hearing that & discovering Prince Paul's concept project "Prince Among Thieves" I was anticipating more solo work from Breeze rather than the J trio. Anyone else read type o "Released in El-p's Defunct label Rawkus?? He left Rawkus to start DefJux until lawsuit from DefJam rebranded as Definitive Jux(taposition). Check out blog/podcasts HouseList, Crappy Awesome Podcast, Damnthatnoise.com and UGSmag. Props to the old heads in the 35/40 age group!
Firs time I heard this on 90.1 the drum dj kevvy kev on the radio , 1997. The craziest beat and rhymes. I'm like, wtf is this!? Fkd my head up man., Bought fun crusher E.P, but pissed that it didn't have this track. Ended up getting the fun crusher plus LP the following year. Also big fan of juggankotz "Im gonna kill u" . Indellible MC's was def on that year.
