Oh noooo. I would get them off grated floors immediately they are rough on their feet. Not to mention their cage sizes are fit to be their litterboxes....but not a space to live in. Also water bottles really aren't ideal because they don't get enough water (they drink as much water as a small dog) and can grow bacteria more easily. By far the worst thing here was the lack of hay. They need an unlimited amount to keep their gut moving to prevent the deadly condition of stasis. You clearly work hard for them so the love and care is there I think it needs to be redirected towards suggestions like these. I'd also spay and neuter your pets and avoid breeding.
Not trying to be rude but bunnies deserve a life where they can run around free and not be on a wire bottom cage with a little snow room and treated like a toy instead of a living animal I appreciate the hard work that went into it but bunnies are live animals
You did a great job. I was just thinking how, even when someone builds something with a plan that was professionally designed it is really only a guideline as life as you life it, the needs of the rabbits and your plans for the future as well as how you use the space all dictate the nuances of the shed. Well done.
@@DashingMaverickI've worked designing landscapes and mentoring gardeners and so yes. Even here at my home, plans often shifted in mid stream or even after they were done when we laid down plans and tried following them doing renovations inside. Neither of us had interior design under our belts so it was learn as you go all the time. Made us feel like rock stars when something went really well.
Not everyone is a pet owner that can let their bunnies run free all day. The cages meet ARBA requirements. There is nothing wrong with them. I’m a breeder myself. I show as well. Nobody wants to hear your uneducated comments.
The cages were hard to find. I ordered about half of them online through Jeffers and rural king. Then everywhere else was back ordered so I called feed stores between us and San Antonio to find the rest of them. Luckily I was able to find some at about 4 different feed stores.
For more rabbit care of more information you guys should watch Lennon the bunny she put out really good content on how to care for your rabbit or rabbit the right way
She does not give any links to study’s or reputable websites to back up her information. Her videos seem one sided, and more like a self promotion to get views so she can get monetized. I’m sure she has good intentions and really wants to help people, but I think there’s better ways of doing it. Please do proper research and not UA-cam.
Rabbits SHOULD NOT be kept in small wire bottom cages like this. They need space to move around, hop and run around in. This is unsafe and unfit for rabbits!!!
I appreciate your insight and have to agree with you. We should have done that differently. In the future we will have a free range colony. Thank you for your honest thoughts on this!
The cages are away too small
Yeah that's america.
Rabbits in tiny caged sitting on grid.

@@simplewishesrabbitry5406 you’re the one who’s uneducated. These cages are not good for these bunnies.
Asharizz the ARBA standard is set be the animals welfare association. Sooooo
Cages are wayyy too small + the wire bottoms so much worse and those water bottles… please no
Were did you find the cages?

I think you’re eating McDonald’s too….
Super cute
Thank you!
So that big shed and then shitty tiny cages you must be kidding me. That's a horrible set up. Plus osb board isn't healthy for them.

This is unethical.
