Really enjoyed the start of journal pages Helen. Good idea to take the pressure off and leave the first few pages at the start blank for now! Wonderful tip! I love using paper serviettes which give a nice effect too! Going to greatly enjoy this series. Take care x
Good afternoon 👋☺️ Helen 🌹 love your hand made journal cover can't wait to see the one you are working now all done too and just love mushroom paper on your first page congrats 🎉 stay safe and be careful 🙏✍️🖌️🎨💌🌹👋 enjoy your weekend too 👍🦄☺️
Loving this Altered Book series. That map fabric is great. OMG what! a Hedgehog rescue - that is too cool! Thanks for linking that shop Helen. I'm trying really hard to support international ppl now for various issues - as everyone worldwide was so generous to us Aussies & our wild life during the horrific fires back in 2019/20, so now it's time to pay it forward. ty
That’s so lovely of you to pay the kindness forward 🥰 There is still so much goodness to be found in people isn’t there. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I’m really happy you enjoyed the video 🤗💕
A BIG TY Helen you always find the most incredible ppl. I'm following Bronwen on Insta because of you - Echindas are great, (ok they ARE the best lol) but that Hedgehog in the paper..... (insert aussie .slang.. here) too cute & I've put in budget for Sep, a box from Book Of Shadows. 3 weeks til I can place my order (we is budget Farmher) but I can't wait.
What a lovely start to your altered journal. The cover is going to be so beautiful and the paper you have used here is really gorgeous. Well done Helen 👏🏼❤️
Totally new to dying paper with coffee or tea (have done fabric). Seeing what you said about the oven, I've realised I can use my dehydrator to do the same thing.
Helen: a really nice start on your journal. I like the way you always approach your work. I love your choice of decorative wrapping paper. That paper, plus the mushrooms, has set the theme of the journal. I look forward to watching you continue creating in this journal. Carol from w
That's a really good idea to go easy on the first pages. I had written down some words too but I wasn't exactly sure how to start, so I went onto the next two pages and applied some Gesso...It is such a great idea to rescue books before they are being pulped & transforming them. I have added a collage to the front cover of my book, the original is Very Yellow and I wanted it to show through, I'll post a photo tomorrow. I really like the look of your first pages, the texture paste looks great on that beautiful paper🙂
What a lovely start to your book and its cover! September is my favourite month, and an autumn theme appeals to me too. I love that paper you used for your background! 🤗💕xx
Thank you so much Pam 🥰 I feel so conflicted in September as I want to make the most of those last summer days, but I feel autumn calling me. It’s a wonderful month 🤗🍄🍁
Love this Helen...I love how mindful you are with the process...yes, I want to try this...have just finished an altered book journal for a friend...it became very chunky, and hard to work with, and I put every interactive element I could get my hands on! My friend loved it though, but I learned not to have so many pages, and how to work with old books and ripping pages out. Lots of fun! I love the nature theme, and want to try similar!
Thank you so much Elizabeth 🥰 I really want to add lots of interactive elements too but am definitely wondering how chunky it will get. That was such a thoughtful gift and kind for your friend. I’m sure she will treasure it. Lovely 🤗💕
Hii Helen here is a question from my side plz answer... I see Cat's Planner channel she was doing a pen pal letter... and said she is gonna give to Helen and we must be knowing about Helen on UA-cam, Pinterest etc... so is it you only ?
