Cow Hoof Trim at Home on the Farm

This is one way to trim a tame cow's hooves at home for free. All you need is a place to contain your cow, a hammer, a chisel, and a piece of plywood. Featured is my 7 year old Guernsey cow, Jellybean. We trim her feet about 2x/year depending on how fast they grow. With just a little TLC, a family milk cow should be able to provide years of production on healthy, strong feet!
