I just got a 2011 enclave running again that had been worked on by many different shops. I swapped that 2 amp fuse and she fired right up. Thanks for the video
I commend a man that ACTUALLY KNOWS cars and how they work!!!! There are too many presenters out there that know NOTHING, but act like they do...for the MONEY that UA-cam provides for CONTENT!!! I believe that anything that YOU put up is actual and factual...I subscribed!!!!
For sure. Blame the money worshipers that put computers on top of computers so the average mechanic has to get computers every week and updates daily. May they reap what they sow. 🙏 Blessings
Brian, AWESOME THOUGHT PROCESSING keep at it with out editing those videos it shows complete picture about the history what it done to the care great thought process and approach brother learning from the best and as always thanks for sharing.cheeeers
An older GMC with a very similar problem, a simple 2A fuse that might be internally corroded will throw the same code you had, of course a bad circuit will do the same thing for that power line. Thanks for the added video with the same GM problem and then some. SMA video for peoples collection Chevy/GMC Truck: No Start - No Crank - UA-cam
Thank you, I was frustrated because I didn’t know what happened to my car but after replacing the fuse the lock light from dashboard went away and the car turn on. Thank youuuuu
One client have same issue, crank no start, he was driving, everything was fine, and suddenly few hours later, he couldn't start the engine again, i did some minimal diagnostic, but! i couldn't work for too long, its the temperature outside is -9F, and that car is colder that freezer many times, so i was unable to find anything, beside here in AK got dark outside really fast. the one thing my scan tool pulled out, that fuel rail is showing low pressure, Actual fuel rail pressure is 0.4 MPa which is hi-lighted in red, but again, i didn't do much about, technically not in the mood to freeze my but outsize for free. eventually i might work again, i told that guy to find a warm garage to work on it, till then we wait, on another hand, summer is almost here, just 6 more month!
Hello, I live in Chicago and I have a 2011 GMC ACADIA that does not get power down to the signal wire that goes into the starter solenoid. When I try to start my vehicle the lights on the dash goes out and the check engine light blinking rapidly. Suggestions please!!
Nice to see someone that can properly diagnose a problem and pinpoint it keep up the good work my wife's 2012 acadia starter has quit not looking forward to changing it but oh well
I have a traverse pretty much designed the same… none for leaks on the passenger side windshield conveniently above all the power fuses. I thought starter to replaced fuse block under hood and the starter and the battery 2 new keys at the dealership. One year later won’t work again…. These designs have horrible placements for fuses and ground connection. Don’t get me started on the anti theft system joke
What symptoms of bad starter you had that made you think thats the issue my 2011 acadia takes few trys with key before it starts no crank just buzzing sound like fuel pump when it energizes and thats it have to turn key back to off and try again till it starts does that sound like a bad starter?
I'm having problem sometime car starts and sometimes it doesn't. Last time I lost everything and couldn't get my key out. We opened and shut passenger door then seemed I had power to everything and the acadia started up. Now if I turn the key and it doesn't start I turn it off wait a couple min then turn the key about three times then it starts. Do you have any idea what could be causing this.
So Brian was the fuse the culprit? I probably miss you saying that. I do know you replaced it just wondering. Your getting snow were getting rain. Stay safe and well plus have a good weekend. 😊
Yes the fuse restored the com with the theft module, and it started however the corrosion at the connector caused the no power / lights on the cluster, no comm with ecm ...
@@BrianMann216 what was the fuse name? Like you said it does not give amperage and the owner's manual which sucks. So I don't know what fuse it is. You can help me out. Thanks for the great video! Awesome job! I'm a subscriber now

This dude is the man. Haven’t fixed my truck yet but this guy really knows what he’s doing and not throwing parts at it.
We been through 5 mechanics. Your video was very informative and got us back on the road after being down 3 months. I salute you!
Glad it helped

Thank you for not having a heart full of greed like the makers of these hunks of junk.🙏 God bless the
I really like the way you walk us through you process of testing and inspecting.
Thanks for watching!

Ayudó tu vídeo, nos pasó igual con una enclave 2010 aquí en Ciudad Juárez Chihuahua México 🇲🇽 gracias
Thanks , gonna check the 2 amp fuse and replace it , it looked okay when I checked it but now I know it could still be bad ,
Just switched my crankshaft sensor, gonna try this. The fuse looked good but gonna just switch it.

Sounds like a bad power or ground
You found another old school theft deterrent. Inconvenient though. I like test lights for fuses.

I have the theft light on and no crank no start. I will try on swapping the fuse and I will update you
Hi , If you can help me i have a problem in GMC acadia 2009 when I wants to start there is drop in full and heat gages ?
That green wire being spliced couldn’t that be removal of a gps locating system that was removed by the car owner?
Great video!
Thanks for watching.
where can I get the GM Tech 2 software for GM SUVS and light Trucks?

Nice job! Looks like a messy diagnostic to be thrown into but very rewarding. Definitely a good feeling leaving after you got it running 😁
Yes it is rewarding. Have to put on the private investigator hat on sometimes and get it back to the original fail mode.
@@BrianMann216 lol yes. I call it detective mode

Sounds like maybe a bad battery or a loose battery connector. Might also be a short in the ignition switch.
Could be your ignition relay, those are known to go bad on the Acadias.
Undersized sunroof drains and misfit gutter grommets.

Water leaks from the sunroof down the pilar and onto that connector stashed behind the plastic.. it corrodes it.

@@bighigh69did you find what fuse exactly?
My Acadia: seized
Me: man I’m sure the problem is in this A pillar for sure..
👍👍👍
What a horrible spot for a fuse box
Yeah it is rough for sure. Not designed with serviceability in mind.
5th time I’ve seen this
Great video!
