Oh dear, that spoiler break song! I love it!
Forget to switch accounts?
Can you please link the soundtrack ? 🙂
Same. Should add it to the regulars.
Kann es sein das du den Song selber "produziert" hast?
Wenn ja, nice.
Du hast nicht gewitzt. Das Lied ist sehr cool. Künstler?
Explanation was fine. Understood the puzzle from it. Well done
Your explanations are amazingly clear and concise .
I love watching this puzzle channel because when a puzzle like this costs 95 dollars plus shipping its as close as I'm ever going to come. 🙁
@Letters to Fuckface Let me guess, no one loves you.
Ingenious puzzle, thanks for sharing AND explaining. I like your backdrop table and when you stopped the music so we could hear the rattle I was wishful that it would not return. I like hearing the ambient sounds and it is easier to hear and concentrate on what you are saying. Also the close- up video shots and lighting were very artistic. 👍👍👍
I have to watch your videos in double speed but i loved the mechanism of this puzzle!
Oh, that's beautiful!
Very clever Mr. Puzzle; the solution and the mechanism.
It's interesting that the puzzle itself lacks any moving parts one can manipulate externally, thereby forcing the user to shake the puzzle. Interestingly that is exactly what has to be done in order to solve it; shaking and turning.
Imagine how difficult this puzzle would have been had the designer added fake moving pieces on the outside? Like dials or sliding tabs that give the illusion that something inside must be 'aligned' just right in order to open it? A false path. It could (have been) downright diabolical.
Mr. Puzzle has in fact reviewed exactly such a puzzle. It is spherical, with rings of symbols which can be turned in the manner of setting the combination on a combination lock. However, these rings are a complete red herring.
Great puzzle.
The mechanism is so creative and clever
Great mechanism break down, thanks for the video.
I love you, Mr. Puzzle!
Very cool!! Just discovered your channel. I love it!
That is a brilliant little piece.
I always love your spoiler break
For me, the puzzle was much more interesting after knowing how it worked. The initial solving seemed to be mostly about being lucky.
Love the spoiler break clip
Cool mechanism, but 99$ for a "One Time Solver" it's too pricey for me. This would easily fit in the Hanayama line for 12-15$ and would be a buyer. And yes i understand, machining every puzzle one by one is a costly process, so it's just another joyful Mr. Puzzle video for me.
Someone send this to the lockpicking lawyer
What a cool yet easy mechanism! But a polished surface would have looked much better.
simple puzzles... a spin should always be your first tactic !!
I think they made the puzzle easier on purpose increasing the luck factor so you can open it by accident. WIth a few tweaks just removing the luck factor this would be insanely difficult if you don't know the mechanisme.
Yes, but when the mechanism is completely hidden, and there's no reward based evolution (such as steps you've completed and you know it) then it can be very frustrating. It's a fine line between fun and overly frustrating in puzzles like this.
The way the puzzle was designed, it seems as though the *intent* is that it be solved "by accident" -- that it be solved by sheer persistence rather than any sort of logic or insight.
I would like to see a mechanical "puzzle" whose solution is simply to shake it 1000 times, and which when solved, reveals its mechanism to be nothing more than a mechanical counter for counting shakes!
fitting that the solution to the puzzle from the fidget spinner site has a solution of spinning it
Love ur profile pic. I mean I hate green bay, because I have to, but the guy looks just like Luigi.
@@groowanderer funny you'd say that considering it's a screenshot of danny wells playing luigi on the super mario bros. super show
@@deep-spaghetti ya I realized that after I posted I clicked in on ur pic. From the small shot it looks like green bay sign on his hat.
I see there are many Mr Puzzle viewers who are also Lockpickinglawyer viewers.
Spin it!
How to stump lock picking lawyer 101
got ASMR from this one
For those of us that don't live online, what does "ASMR" mean?
The problem with this trick lock is that you can't get it open if it would actually lock a chest or gate.
So, "unlock you puzzle by polishing it". 😜😂🤣 However, very ingenious mechanism.
Class
@0:36 - brass, stainless, aluminum... all nonmagnetic, so I was guessing that a magnet was involved. Fooled Me!
kinda off topic but what watch do you have
Garmin Fenix 3
I had a feeling a rotational mechanism, like a gear or set of gears, would need to be used for the puzzle but that was as far as I got.
have you ever whacked a puzzle that wasn't a whack to solve puzzle, and damaged the mechanism inside?
No
@@Mr.Puzzle have you ever unintentionally damaged a puzzle?
Beautiful. Sadly, sold out!
"Everything's allowed", huh?
Including shackle cutters?
normally your english is excellent so i don't want to pick on it and i don't want to come off as rude, but just in case you didn't know "put you the link" makes no sense in english. it's understandable, but just in case you care, you can phrase it as "i will put the link in the description for you."
Noted!
Today's my birthday 😅🥳🥳🥳
Congrats!
"sold out" ... this is becoming a common problem with the puzzles you demonstrate
this lockpad only suitable for chains
Why do you call the intro vid a spoiler break- it's not being solved.. are you saying that because you are showing the puzzel to us before you show us the puzzel haha
It's because there will be spoilers after the break 🤔
@@Mr.Puzzle ok I think I understand- it's a break (that shows off the puzzle) before the puzzel is solved (break/broken)..... I think its confusing because in English, the term "spoiler/spoiler break" suggests an upcoming event.. like close your eyes; spoiler alert..... why don't you just start the video with your very cool cinematic previews, then describe, then solve..
Oof mr. off
It would be nice if you DIDNT have the ANNOYING background music. It would be nice to actually HEAR everything thats happening instead PLEASE
I agree it's pretty cool, but for $95.... I don't think I'll buy it..
Am the 13th viewar am happy😀
First 😋
Your video to much longer brother you can grow your youtube channel so fast but people don't have to much Time you know.. so make sure you make video fast 3 to 4 minutes
I always hit the thumbs up as soon as he says "MR PUZZLE!" because that level of enthusiasm should always be rewarded.
🤣
The gear has 8 teeth and the body has nine teeth. This type of mechanism can be used to pump liquids in a super compact and simple way, like an oil pump in a motorcycle engine.
Yah gear pump (+ ve displacement pump)
I want to see LockPickingLawyer getting this open in 3 seconds
Exactly my thought when i see this video
There's no keyhole...
This is called a lock pick puzzle but it's more like a puzzle box.
I'm sure LPL could have a good go at it but it's only superficially a padlock.
How old are you two?
"I'm going to use this bar for some tension.... and then this wave rake."
Still more secure than masterlock locks.
Also: Nothing on 1, 2 is binding.
I don't think I've ever seen such a mechanism. Very intuitive. You know it's gonna be good when Mr Puzzle comes back from his break of inspection so excited, you can hear it in his voice :)
Really nice puzzle, I wish they cleaned up the tooling marks from it though.
I think it gives it more character
I thought the same thing at first, but then after seeing both sides it seems it was left like that for aesthetic purposes.
@@DWish808 Fair enough! It's just not my thing.
@@Bynming Yeah, I was just saying... I'd have it polished up especially being brass. It just looks like a prototype (Preproduction) piece, imo.
I say it's a design choice
Very intriguing! That gear arrangement looks pretty familiar... it’s essentially the same as the oil pump in a lot of car engines. How clever to see it applied to a puzzle!
Wow what an amazing puzzle, that mechanism is really impressing.
Mr. Puzzle can you solve this puzzle for me: how to open a VW dash key to change the battery? THX. 😁
This is a brilliant puzzle... thank you Mr. Puzzle 😌
Honestly this would be a 4 out of 5 for me. It would take me ages to figure out the motion required for the first step.
It's called a hypoid gear. Very neat.
That finish is actually from a palm sander, it looks like.
Wow, a new mechanism I haven’t seen before! Who thinks of these things?? Ingenious
No 3D printed part this time so we could understand how it worked?
Cool design. I thought it was a bit harder than the grade you gave it.😊👍
Never seen that before. So clever.
I like all the little touches Mr puzzle has added since I last checked in (spoiler break clip and timer at the bottom)
Mr Puzzle: We have a new spoiler break song
* song ends *
Me: It's rewind time
The maker of this cool puzzle is super brilliant. What a clever mechanism!
This puzzle somewhat reminds me mechanical ballistical calculators - 1940s time. Very nice puzzle, indeed!
My guess was to spin it. I had a box that required centrifugal force to open and it sounded similar to this.
Good work mate and that locking system was on point very unique! Those black marks are tarnish! A slow type of corrosion offen found on brass! Just polish it with brasso.
Will try that! Thanks!
That puzzle is simply beautiful and beautifully simple.
One of the nicest puzzles I have ever seen that consisted of 4 pieces or less.
Very cool mechanics!
Easy, but the solve was so mechanically mesmerizing, that it needed it's own spoiler break song.
love this puzzle :) simple yet ingenious
The backgroundmusic is really bothering me everytime :c
Me too. It's too loud.
I have the aluminum version and absolutely loved it. Like you said, it's not that difficult but the mechanism is just super cool and unlike anything I've seen before. It's a fun one just to open and close over and over, due to the neat solution. :)
Absolutely!
5:13 is hypnotic
Amazing
I love this channel ❤️❤️
Brilliant mechanism. Very well thought out. I like this puzzle 😀
Have you ever made a Locked Room game with a whole bunch of your puzzles? That would be neat if you came across this lock on a small treasure chest and you had to figure out how to unshackle the lock in order to get a clue to the next puzzle.
Very Nice !
Well thought out mechanism !
I will agree with others below on how it should have been polished up to make it nice and shiny for the consumer.
Another great video Mr. Puzzle !
I love the mechanism on this! simple, but very classic and satisfying to look at once you've solved it
Why do they make them out of different materials? Just for the look?
Very smart puzzle!! Too expensive for me!
That’s a really clever mechanism! I love it!
😒😒really lmfao puzzle worst one ever
And without a key. Should Master lock build one like this?
Ok this one is to good of an idea to be a little puzzle
It's a very clever mechanism but it seems like something that can only be solved by accidental trial & error rather than deductive reasoning.
Yes
Ingenious dad, so simple but very effective, daddy you did it again....
Ow. The cringe is painful.
This is based on a strain wave gearing, check this out :
ua-cam.com/video/nj1vO3cP7ug/v-deo.html
That's a really reliable, efficient and compact type or reduction gears (expensive too :p )
You'll notice that the inside gear got one less tooth than the outside gear ;)
Really cool mechanism, but not really a puzzle. There's no *clue* or *logic* or anything that would make it anything more than a guessing game, trial and error isn't a puzzle.
That was a cool lock puzzle
That was a great puzzle
What a perfect thing to wake up to!
Hey Mr. Puzzle Zeig doch mal deine Sammlung das würde mich echt interessieren 🙂👍
Kommt irgendwann
Use a scotch brite pad you know those green scourers to polish it I use them i
On my high end vapes it polishes them real nice and get small scratchs
Offy
Schönes Puzzle. Wenn ich damit mein Fahrrad abschließe, bekomme ich es nie wieder auf. XD
I went on the website and the puzzle is sold out!
Great video, good explanation!
