Harry: “Why did you ask my father to lend you the invisibility cloak that could have protected us that night?” Dumbledore: “I really wanted to see the look on that smug Tom Riddle’s face when he realized I had set him up from the start”
Okay but the idea that Fred and George would Polyjuice into each other randomly seems totally up their alley. Not the same thing as a clone, but not too far off
it also wouldn't really do anything since they're so identical (to where they can even confuse molly) so the idea that they would polyjuice into each other for literary no reason is even more hilarious
Alternative theory: Fred and George used to take polyjuice potions of each other. Just because they would find it hilarious since not many people can tell them apart
It would explain why their mom keeps misidentifying them, as there might be very slight differences she would notice, and it would drive her crazy thinking that she misremembered which son had which slightly different features
I misread & thought it was first saying that one of them was using a time turner to be their own "twin' which doesn't work for the same reason still makes more sense
No. Just no. We know only two people that made that potion. Hermione and Barty Couch Jr and Senior. And we know all 3 of them are very intelligent and powerful. Fred and George are smart and skilful but I don't think they're that smart
The reason the "Flammel made the Mirror" theory cracks me up is because there was literally a piece of evidence that would have actually given it at least a little ground- Harry got the Philosophers Stone from the Mirror: maybe the reason he was able to do that was because the Mirror was made in conjunction with the Stone. Even that theory doesn't have a whole lot of evidence to it, but it's better than "He made one cool thing, what if he made a completely different cool thing?"
I actually think the theory is pretty good, conceptionally. Just imagining a lone man, who achieved immortality to realise that everyone and everything important to him is aging and dieing, but he alone remains, and in a desperate attempt to find a reason to continue his life, he creates a mirror that can show someone's deepest desires, is so good.
what this video REALLY needed was jay and ben doing this video together, a debate of sorts. one takes explaining why its not a possible theory, and one defending the theory. then at the end, have the crew vote who debated their side the best.
Ok so I had an insane theory off the twin theory. Determined to get a girl, Arthur and Molly tried using an altered polyjuice potion during her pregnancy to attempt to influence the gender of the child, instead it created an identical twin. This caused them to come to terms with their lot in children and not trying again when Ron was born and feeling their patience was rewarded when Ginny was born. It's crazy I know but better than the chat gpt one😂
The mirror of Erised would be a great motivator for Harry to learn how to draw or paint. He could practice his skills while pumping out family portraits to remember them by.
In my head I've always gone along with the theory that crookshanks was The Potter's cat which is why he knew what Peter was and why he knew what sirius was
Not an animagus. A Maledictus. Regulus didn't order Kreacher to leave him to the inferi in the cave. He ordered Kreacher to tell people that that was his fate. In reality, he turned into Crookshanks forever and knew he was changing all along. This is why he never changes back and also why Sirius never actually knows that Crookshanks is his brother. He really meant to try to destroy the locket but changed into Crookshanks before he could accomplish his goal. Then cozied up to Hermione so that he could help guide the trio along the way. ChatGPT knows all even if it makes a slight mistake.
Can we admit that in addition to it being a brilliant idea, it took insane magical ability for Dumbledore to hide the Sorcerer's Stone "in" the mirror and make it where only someone who wanted it but not use it could get it? Like, just, how?
Yep. I personally believe that given enough time Voldemort could have broken the enchantment and got the stone, the mirror would merely delay him hopefully long enough to stop him. I just like the idea of the first book actually having stakes
I wonder why at the time Wormtail was exposed as a human in the shack he was fully clothed, but a short while later when he changes back into the rat he leaves the clothes behind. Weird
Or why Sirius didn't rip out of his. I'm going to go with plot hole to keep it very PG but a more fun version? Maybe breaking or ending the spell returns them to the exact state as before the transformation.

I'm for it. And yeah, Slughorn had decades and his memory mod was still super splotchy. While they'd certainly try to accuse Harry of tampering with it, it would be a lot harder to deal with than just a "he said, Minister of Magic said" situation.
While I wholeheartedly think this could have cleared up a lot, there's a few perfectly logical reasons they didn't. One from a story perspective, and one from an author perspective. 1. The pensieve belongs to Hogwarts, and at the time to Dumbledore specifically. In the situations where Harry's story would have been called into question, Fudge did not trust Dumbledore and thus would hesitate to use his pensieve, as Dumbledore could potentially alter the memory. Not that he would, but it's what Fudge might believe. 2. You need to have conflict to tell a story. If they used the pensieve in these scenarios, there would be no conflict in Order of the Phoenix. The Ministry would not see Dumbledore as an enemy, so there's no reason to place Umbridge at Hogwarts, then there's no reason to form the DA. Sometimes you have to sacrifice logic in order to tell a good story, and characters don't always make the best decisions for the same reason.
@@rennakahara7851 Agreed on both points, though as a writer I do have a small gripe with one line. I don't believe it's ever mandatory to sacrifice logic for the sake of a story. While a good story can still have such holes, avoiding them with careful writing is absolutely possible. One issue that comes up often, as is the case here, is "why did the characters not use [blank] to solve the problem?" (which gets especially rough for soft-magic stories that spread out everywhere like with this series). If you see one of these coming, and you can't allow them to use it for the sake of the story, then you need to actively cut it off from them in some way. A character might even directly reference wanting to do it that way, but something comes up to ruin it. And a personal favorite of mine: In a fight between two characters, you know which one has to lose. But rather than having them do something dumb to leave themselves open (unless it's thematically relevant), focus on making the character who wins earn it by being more clever and cirumventing whatever defenses or tactics their opponent may have. In other words: Don't make the losing character be dumb, make the winning character be smart. Sorry to go off on a rant, but I like writing and I LOVE really _good_ writing. So here's some free advice for anyone interested, that's all.
I have nothing to back the idea, but I've always felt that Dumbledore wanted to keep the abilities of the Pensive quiet. Its a powerful magical artifact with mysterious origins that connect back to the school grounds. Ancient schools of mystic orders are known for wanting to keep their secrets, so I would think it would be unlikely for any Hogwarts Headmaster to have shared any information about any artifacts in their collection, if they could help it. So odds are, the Ministry didn't even know about it.
If you’re looking for potential fan theories, pretty sure there are a ton of potential theories in the Percy Jackson series. That’s right! This is day 26 of my quest begging you to cover this amazing series. With the new show picking up a second season it could be a really good chance to cover a new series with some really great adventures.
14:30 I do think dumbeldore and Lilly at least sorta planned the sacrificial love thing because he was so ready to put a plan in place for Harry so quickly after voldy’s downfall
At the absolute most, it'd be a measure of last resort that Dumbledore might say something like "if the worst happens and he asks you to step aside, you protecting Harry anyway will protect him better than you think". As much as it's emotionally appealing (like REALLY appealing) to think that Lily knew she was actually saving her son and didn't just think he was gonna die five seconds after she did, I don't think I can really accept this one. It's the kind of thing that if the author had intended it, it'd have to be shown or hinted at, because there's no way to deduce it from what we got.
People tend to give dumbledore a lot more credit than he deserves. It wasn't until voldemort took Harry's blood. That dumble door had any plans for harry to actually survive. Until that moment, He was planning for a harry to have for sacrifice his own life to defeat Voldemort. The possibility of harry surviving didn't even come into being until voldemore Took lily's sacrifice into his own body. So dumbledore was literally raising harry as a pig for slaughter just like snape said.
Well, you can't blame him. They lost many people in the first war, so for Dumbledore it was more about the greater good. If that meant sacrificing one boy, then it was good enough. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one after all. And Harry was the one weapon they possessed. He was the ONLY one who could take out, or could be used to take out, Voldemort.
Would you guys be open to doing a “what if dudley was a wizard”? I think it’d be interesting! Lots of questions in there to explore! Would he be in slytherin? Would he be friends with Draco? Perhaps he would have a proper redemption? Would he become part of the main trio? How would petunia and vernon react to this?
The Crookshanks is Regulus theory did make me think of something though. Could a boy/man as an animagus enter the girls dormitory without setting off the alarms? Is there any situation in the books where Scabbers is found there?
As far as the last theory goes, it brings up an interesting thought. What if Flamel is a descended from Cadmus Peverell? This would imply a magical lineage of invention, and provide a possible blood link for Dumbledore to have been able to tie the stone to the mirror.
Love the Glass Onion clip: "No! It's just dumb!" The HILARIOUS part of this is that ChatGPT probably scanned the CC of a lot of SCB videos to try to create these half-baked theories.
Don’t be so quick to equate all cats as being bad in water. While Crookshanks is referred to as ‘Hermione’s cat’ let’s not forget that Crookshanks is actually half Kneazle. I don’t pretend to know what that might encompass but I do know certain big cat breeds like tigers and jaguars are quite adept in water. It’s possible that Crookshanks, a half Kneazle, (referred to by HP himself as either a very big cat or quite the small tiger) is skilled in the water. I agree with you of course that RAB is not Crookshanks but still fun to spin the potential details.
Why didn't Harry use the Invisibility Cloak when leaving the Dursleys? He could've walked out by himself in it without having others risking their lives. Or Moody comes with Kingsley, and those two with Harry take a Polyjuice potion, looking like the Dursleys and drive away a couple days before his birthday?
I have always liked the theory that Cadmus Peverell made the Resurrection Stone, Mirror Of Erised, & the Veil Because it reminds me of Bongo-Bongo making the Mask Of Truth, Lens Of Truth, & Shard Of Agony. Those 2 theories feel very similar, and I like them.
If you die under the influence of polyjuice potion, you don't transform back. This is explained in relations to Barty Crouch's wife when she dies in place of Bart Crouch Jr. and is buried still appearing as Barty Crouch Jr.
@@newtidek I don’t know that they “needed to” per se… it just so happens that they mentioned that. I suppose the significance would be if she was dug up
@@failurenotsorry6600 They sense the soul of a person i believe. Sirius answered it in either the third or fourth book when he explained about his escape.
The worst part is that ChatGPT usually just searches the internet and uses whatever they can find to create an answer, indicating that some of these theories probably actually exist. PS: You should do Disney theories by Chat GPT next. I theorize that they'll confuse disney, pixar and dreamworks.
I have a theory that the brothers did "meet death" crossing a narrow bridge. I'm assuming someone they cared for fell in and drowned, and at the time they were unable to save them, perhaps.
I have a horrible theory. The reason the Dursleys hate magic, wizards, and Harry so much is because they were tormented by Death Eaters during the first Wizarding war. Because they were connected to the Order of the Phoenix, via Lilly Potter via bloodline and family, they would've been targeted by the death eaters and were used to lure James and Lilly out of hiding. They were tortured by the cruciate Curse before realizing it was a lost cause. After being forced to take care of the reason they were attacked in the first place, they would have a reason to hate Harry. Not mostly out of jealousy for Lilly or distrust from magic, but fear and pain from what magic had done to them and their home. Like I said, it's a horrible theory, but I digress.
NEW THEORY! It would be MORE likely that the Sorting Hat and the Mirror were made by the same person... both involve a deep dive into a person's mind. One just shows you what you desire, while the other is more practical. The fact that both are at Hogwarts is a sign that they may have a single creator.
Okay but new headcanon: the twins have once brewed polyjuice potion to swap themselves to see if people would notice. And lee Jordan gets confused because he is os So able to differentiate both there slight physical differences and attitude than he understands what they have done
It's all about specifics, maybe say give us a realistic Harry Potter theory that doesn't currently exist based on the information you have available to you, which would be plausible to most fans.
Hey, J!!! I was thinking about Voldemort's curse on the DADA job. Any chance on a video about the professors who were affected by it before Harry started school?
15:58 The Mirror of Erised wasn't always magical. It was accidentally created in the 19th century, during Halloween spirit event, but since it acted as a normal mirror, nobody bothered with it. It been passed through the hands of people until it ended up at Hogwarts. It was just a normal thing until 87, when it disappeared. Students went looking for it, they discovered it a year later in the Room of Requirement. It went back to a classroom where it started having an effect on people. If that's the case, the mirror was affecting people for 4 years before Harryy showed up. Not only Dumbledore acted very slowly on this, but he also watched students while invisible too
15:50 The Philosopher Stone & The Mirror of Erised have a special connection: The first was hidden inside the second. -> My guess is that the A.I. noticed this fact & assumed there was a hidden connection. It is never revealed how or why the Philosopher Stone COULD be hidden inside the mirror (but not other important magical things... like horcruxes). Since the creator of the mirror is unknown & Flamel has being alive for long enough to actually be the maker of it (based materials used & its design/style, it is clearly Medieval; plus the word "Desire" was spelled differently in Old English, so it could not be too ancient). IF Flamel created the Mirror first so he could "see" (the actual visual characteristics) of the object that he wanted so desperately to create [The Philosopher Stone]. THEN By learning how it actually looks (perhaps even getting to "observe" himself performing the whole process of using that object to create gold), he deducted certain characteristics & properties of the finished magical artifact that could NOT be achieved if certain processes & methods were used in specific sequences [hence reducing the amount of trial & error, guesswork & unknowns on his research]. -> In this way, he was cleverly extracting information from the future (in a closed timeloop similar to the ones created by Prophecies & Time-Turners); simply by assuming that he "could" (theoretically) be successful ~eventually~ even without this guidance [hence ensuring that he WOULD be].
With the Flamell and Mirror of Erised theory, maybe he made the mirror first out of fun and curiosity, and then when he looked into the mirror, he saw himself making the Philosopher’s Stone (maybe not how to make it, but that he wanted to make it). Which would add some extra level to Dumbledore hiding the Stone in the Mirror.
Dumbledore could have known ahead of time with the help of a time turner and it would line up with his on death, as there is the knowledge of future events that would need him to die. he would have already lived through a dark timeline and decided to sacrifice a few to save the world. He would have asked his past self to hide as Nicolas Flamel with the help of polijuice potion that could be why he created the stone and mirror.
Icl if dobby could apparate harry and Ron out of Malloy manor, kreacher could apparste reg out of the cave. I know canonically he didn’t, but he COULD HAVE and that annoys me sm
"read Harry Potter once theorizing , create 10 theories , reread the books again for each theory , just stop until you give me 10 theories without cons only pros"
I think you could argue that Dumbledore did know about the prophecy. Thus he may purposely let Voldemort know their location knowing that they would defend Harry and likely create the deffence that will allow Harry to grow up.
Am I the only one who is surprised that it didn't come up with a theory that Albus was setting up Voldemort because he had his own plans for world domination and wanted him out of the way?
So with regards to the scar theory... yeah, it's bunk. But at the same time, it feels like one that with some more iterations could have come out as something actually functional. Not one about there being a second piece of Voldemort in Harry, but where that piece was in Harry. Sure, the scar was the mark of that connection, but what if it was more than that, and the actual place the fragment of Voldemort's soul survived? Could you just remove the horcrux from Harry at this point with plastic surgery? Just... remove that bit of flesh tainted by dark magic and use healing arts, magical or muggle, to repair the hole created in it's removal? This is one that, while I don't feel is a strong theory, feels poetic. Part of the final downfall of Voldemort is through the practices not of good witches and wizards, but through the skillful artisanry of the very mundane people he was trying to put beneath the magical world. A simple thing that could have been protected against had Voldemort considered muggles to even have the potential to be a threat, but due to Voldemort being Voldemort, he could not see as an issue.

Get this guy likes, bros
@@XxCJOxX
It would make me quite happy to see them give that show some love.
Yes, please! So much to explore with the variety of characters and quests! It's a series of series!
I’d like that a lot!
OMG YESSS !! that would be cool
I still say the flaw with Crookshanks being the Potter's and knowing Sirius is that Sirius would have also recognized Crookshanks, but doesn't.
A lot of cats look alike. Perhaps he just thought it was a look alike cat.
Could be.
No this is head-canon, Crookshanks will always be Potter’s cat to me
Gonna be honest, the only reason I'm not arguing it more os because i absolutely love it as a head-canon alternative.
@@animefreak26able He also hadn't seen the cat in 12 years, how is he supposed to remember what the cat looked like?
@@riluna3695 true and that does sound like a dumbledore thing to say where it doesn’t give away the answer but pushes you into the right direction
Ikr
Well, you can't blame him. They lost many people in the first war, so for Dumbledore it was more about the greater good. If that meant sacrificing one boy, then it was good enough. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one after all. And Harry was the one weapon they possessed. He was the ONLY one who could take out, or could be used to take out, Voldemort.
love the premise of the video, I'll never pass up on a chance to diss ChatGPT 😂
Would you guys be open to doing a “what if dudley was a wizard”? I think it’d be interesting!
Lots of questions in there to explore! Would he be in slytherin? Would he be friends with Draco? Perhaps he would have a proper redemption? Would he become part of the main trio? How would petunia and vernon react to this?
I think Dudley would be at high risk for becoming an obscurial, though. It's almost a miracle Harry didn't become one himself
Regulus made sure kreatcher saw him “die” then morphed into cat form which everyone knows inferi are afraid of
The Crookshanks is Regulus theory did make me think of something though. Could a boy/man as an animagus enter the girls dormitory without setting off the alarms? Is there any situation in the books where Scabbers is found there?
"Eddison has 1000 patents."
And how many of those inventions were actually his?
As far as the last theory goes, it brings up an interesting thought. What if Flamel is a descended from Cadmus Peverell? This would imply a magical lineage of invention, and provide a possible blood link for Dumbledore to have been able to tie the stone to the mirror.
Theory: What would happen if underage magic was used in a fidelius charmed house? Would it work, nothing happen, something else?
9:23 actually its confirmed that if someone dies in polyjuice potion, they stay in polyjuice potion
Love the Glass Onion clip: "No! It's just dumb!"
The HILARIOUS part of this is that ChatGPT probably scanned the CC of a lot of SCB videos to try to create these half-baked theories.
Exactly! We don't know enough about Kneazles to say for sure!😉 (I do agree that Crookshanks is not Regulus.)
Kreacher could have saved him since house Elves are powerful. Maybe GPT was cooking more than we thought
AI has NOTHING on You Guys! You're the Best
They are AI
@@HeyThatWeirdGuy I wouldn't say they ARE AI, but I will agree that some (most) of their theories are on par with theories that AI makes.
I have always liked the theory that Cadmus Peverell made the Resurrection Stone, Mirror Of Erised, & the Veil
Because it reminds me of Bongo-Bongo making the Mask Of Truth, Lens Of Truth, & Shard Of Agony.
Those 2 theories feel very similar, and I like them.
But hey, they're just theories...
HARRY POTTER THEORIES!!!
If you die under the influence of polyjuice potion, you don't transform back. This is explained in relations to Barty Crouch's wife when she dies in place of Bart Crouch Jr. and is buried still appearing as Barty Crouch Jr.
That entire thing feels dumb though, we know dementors are blind so why would they need to bury a body looking like a specific person anyway?
@@newtidek I don’t know that they “needed to” per se… it just so happens that they mentioned that. I suppose the significance would be if she was dug up
@@newtidek off topic, but dementors are blind? how do their senses work?
@@failurenotsorry6600 They sense the soul of a person i believe. Sirius answered it in either the third or fourth book when he explained about his escape.
@@newtidek ooohh, okay thanks.
The worst part is that ChatGPT usually just searches the internet and uses whatever they can find to create an answer, indicating that some of these theories probably actually exist.
PS: You should do Disney theories by Chat GPT next. I theorize that they'll confuse disney, pixar and dreamworks.
It's giving " Harry Potter is the main character... a WILD theory...."
the thing about ChatGPT is that it knows everything that's common knowledge, but don't expect the details and lesser know facts right.
If naginis' venom being used in reviving Voldemort makes her somewhat of a mother to him it would also make Harry somewhat of a father to Voldemort.
Aren't Harry and Tom Riddle are also descendants of the three brothers.
@paulinejeann4058 remind me because it's been a while for me, which brother does Tom Riddle decend from?
@bellaknightR597 the second brother. The stone was in the Gaunt family ring.

Like I said, it's a horrible theory, but I digress.
i have an urge to challenge the metaphor of meundies underware being like a warm hug of your favorite sweater - that sounds itchy.
This gives me hope that AI will not take over anytime soon

I never knew how often I would need this clip from Glass Onion in my life but I’m so glad it exists 🤣
NEW THEORY! It would be MORE likely that the Sorting Hat and the Mirror were made by the same person... both involve a deep dive into a person's mind. One just shows you what you desire, while the other is more practical. The fact that both are at Hogwarts is a sign that they may have a single creator.
While I agree the Dumbledore theory is incorrect, I have to say it does fit his personality and "greater good" mentality to do something like that.
genuine question, what happened to crookshanks when hermione goes on the hunt for horcruxes with harry?
Harry knows what his parents look like he just can’t remember but the mirror can just project it
Bro this whole video was him just plugging his other videos XD
Okay but new headcanon: the twins have once brewed polyjuice potion to swap themselves to see if people would notice. And lee Jordan gets confused because he is os So able to differentiate both there slight physical differences and attitude than he understands what they have done
Ok… when you got up and called BS… I actually laughed out loud at work and got some stares. 😂

Hold up! Ms. Fig was in the order of the phoenix? I just assumed Dumbledore offered her a house and free electric to watch Harry from a distance.
Excited to see these AI theories get DESTROYED

My two twin cats both love the water and enjoy baths. Granted out of 40 cats we have raised or fostered over the last 35 years they are the only two.
Haven’t watched these guys in 5 years but they never changed. Nice
Not only Dumbledore acted very slowly on this, but he also watched students while invisible too
Ooh fade in fade out clips? Either I missed that before or that's a new little editing detail. Seems nice!
a lil dazzle I added today. Thank you for noticing
8:00 roflmao!!! i imagine you guys felt your brains melting making this video.
actually loved this whole format
I wonder if the theory should have been the twins were one person using a new one turner?
With the Flamell and Mirror of Erised theory, maybe he made the mirror first out of fun and curiosity, and then when he looked into the mirror, he saw himself making the Philosopher’s Stone (maybe not how to make it, but that he wanted to make it).
Which would add some extra level to Dumbledore hiding the Stone in the Mirror.
3:07 what a theory omg!
AI has just been everywhere in conversations this week! We've been talking about it at work, and now this video. Hilarious!

I think you could argue that Dumbledore did know about the prophecy. Thus he may purposely let Voldemort know their location knowing that they would defend Harry and likely create the deffence that will allow Harry to grow up.
How is BetterHelp still sponsoring people?!
