This guy did a good introduction. Good to watch an listen to. I need to find videos that will help me with the different medal types my detector will find and how deep it detects. It was confusing on my first time out. The detector keep going off at everything. I was in the creek -
Thanks! I have a few videos that can help you out with that. Best thing to do tho is search up your specific detecter and watch people us it on youtube
I am there. was given a metal detector as a gift from my mom because I've always wanted one. Now, I just don't get it. It beeps randomly all the time. I turn the sensitivity below 1, and it still beeps all the time. Very frustrating for me.
@@kalex2894 did-you ever figure your medal detector out? Mine just sits in my other bedroom - i haven’t taken it out.. where are you located at? I live in North Carolina
@@jthreeb i didn’t even know i had any replies to my post months ago- i would watch the videos you talked about .. maybe one at a time..

Great vid Mate. I am looking to buy my first metal detector that I want to use for gold prospecting and treasure hunting. I have the opportunity to buy an X-Terra 705 for $169 or a Vanquish 440 for $349 here locally in Rockhampton Queensland. What are your thoughts on that for a first detector?
Regards, Jas.
Both are great, but always go cheaper price on your first one, just incase detecting is not for you. that way yo didn't spend a small fortune lol
Nice vid man. Dunno if it's too late, but ya may wanna let the Rookies know that the target may not be in the hole, but may be in the plug instead, or in the case of a spill, sometimes both. Showing them how to pinpoint on their detectors (obviously pinpointing is different on many detectors) is important too, or they will miss their targets most of the time.
Great advice! Will consider that for a new video! :)
Yes this is a problem. Sometimes my detector is easy to use . Other times signals don’t lead to a find despite seemingly checking everything. Unless what I am missing is tiny…
Thank u for sharing this clip. I enjoyed learning. Saying goes you are never too late to learn something new ! God Bless !
Never too old! Glad you enjoyed it!

The whole coil detects

Thank you! I've got the detector, but haven't gotten any further than that. This will help, I'm sure. :)
Right on! Hope you can make it out soon, a good place to start is your own yard or a friends yard. Best of luck!
Thank you!!! You are awesome
Thank you! Glad I could help!

Too funny... only jiving... Good video...
LOL Thanks!
Thank You Sir ..
No problem! Hope the video helped you! Merry Christmas!
good job☺ enjoyed☺
Thank you! 😃
Great advice. One thing I would add though is to use a dropcloth when you dig and place the dirt there. That way when you repair your plug and fill your hole, there is absolutely no evidence that you were there.
Good advice too!
Nice vid =)
Thanks Mr.AWESOME!
Nice video
Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Thank you too
Great video just forgot one .. Most important tip wear Gloves.
LOL I never remember that one ;)
@@jthreeb neither do i till I cut myself lol
Why are gloves important you saying is if it's not optional to use them I don't understand why you would need gloves if youre just digging through dirt
The worst thing isn't being kicked off property for not having permission, the worst thing is be arrested for not having permission. Digging on some national park areas can be very bad.
A few years ago some crook came to town to bury his stash of gold bars, gold coins, currency and he had a foreign currency too. He went into the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds here in town after it had closed. That's trespassing. He was caught digging a hole. That was an unauthorized archaeological dig because it's a historical site. It was several felonies he racked up. Heck, he could have had permission to bury it in my backyard with no problem.
Wow thats crazy! Thanks for sharing!
@@jthreeb, he tripped sensors when he entered the site and it wasn't hard to find him because there's only one way in and out. Not sure how it turned out.
I found a silver quarter i got my detector and went outside and found it 2inc under
Right on!!! Congrats!

Awesome! Good luck!
I'm giving this a thumbs down simply because I cannot find a user manual for my metal detector anywhere online other than UA-cam which does not tell me what I need to know
Aww, sorry to hear that. What detector do you have and I'll see if I can find one for you.
