Fig lost to Fulton, and had trouble beating Fulton, Naoya schooled Fulton. Naoya is already a generational talent, he beats fig easy. He doesn’t have to beat fig to prove that.
That’s not how boxing works.
Figueroa is an inside fighter who thrives in ugly fights and taking 4 or 5 shots to land a big looping overhand shot coming in. He cannot fight in the midrange or off the back foot. He's food for Inoue in my opinion.
Even in the fight with Magsayo that Figueroa won, Magsayo landed the cleaner and harder shots. When Magsayo controlled the midrange and had Figueroa on the back foot, he was tagging Figueroa easily.
Inoue isn't Magsayo. He's either going to stop Figueroa late or put him down early if he lands those same shots.

Forget about what Fig can or will do to Inoue, and of what his style is or what he brings...The thing is, once Fig feels the speed and power of the monster, he will no doubt think twice about coming full force at Inoue...Inoue has the POWER to put you OUT, whether with one hit, or later in the rounds..Just because Fig is a 'relentless' type of fighter, that doesn't mean he can't be knocked out,,, That's all Fig is, just a relentless fighter...Last but not least, does Fig have the power to make Inoue respect him?. I don't think so, lol

You cannot go toe to toe with the current monster fighting on the inside. Back in the day maybe but he's honed his skills enough to become undisputed TWICE in less than a year. All of the fighterss I've seen say that they have a plan for him and get shut out either early on or in the later rounds.
Inoue says that he will remain at his current weight at the moment but he most likely has his sights on dominating 1 more weight class above him before he retires.
Off topic, but I think Inoue Shingo has enough ability to coach another monster or demon like his two sons in the next 10 or 20 years.

Based on Figueroa fighting style, the monster would most likely land an early knockout. Figueroa definitely eats a ton of shots before going for big shots of his own. The Inoue-Tapales fight show us the Inoue wanted to show to Tapales and the viewers that he's the more powerful boxer and his knockout just melted Tapales to the floor. But that wasn't Inoue game plan prior to the fight and he went off script to show he's the tougher and more powerful boxer. Figueroa and the rest of the featherweight should enjoy their division while they can because I expect Inoue to knockout all the reigning champs. That includes Rey Vargas, Luis Alberto Lopez and Rafael Espinoza. Inoue isn't going to be looking for a warmup fight once he moves up weight. He's going to fight the #1 featherweight and work his way throughout the entire featherweight division.

Even the 130 guys should be worried.. even if inoue doesn’t KO them he could outbox or hurt them.. ask Leigh wood if his power carries. The guys special and it’s gonna take a physical disadvantage to see him lose

I see this going two ways:
1) Inoue is going to walk Fig down. I see Fig trying to understand what's in front of himself and being tentative to throw his shots first. In the process, Inoue is going to break him down making him even more unable to fire ala Pacquiao vs Clottey.
2) Fig doing his normal which would play right into Inoue's counters.
For this to be a fight, Fig has to hope that Inoue's power will not carry but the timing is likely still going to be there..
Brandon will try to to smother him like he tried against nery. Let me tell you naoya will Ko Brandon in the inside easily l. A good example is that emmanuel Rodriguez fight where he got the first knockdown on the inside.

Inoue loves forward coming aggressive fighters. I think Inoue takes him down faster than Tapales or Fulton. Fig is gonna be a punching bag. Inoue is not just gonna stand there like that and fight Fig like that. Inoue will keep distance and move around the ring
Figueroa with that forward style couldnt Hurt Fulton. He aint got REAL POWER. He gets KOd by a Monster.
Inoue Is at 122 and Fig Just got to 126 and Inoue gonna have like 3 more fights at 122 than move up so that fight Is very possible.
Nery is probably the last fight he'll have at 122 before moving up to 126. Only other fighter would be John Riel Casimero but that's only to shut the loud mouth up.

@@unreformed. MJ lost to tapales that went to the cards. Inoue destroyed Tapales and have him melted to the floor by knockout. Casimero make sense because that fight should’ve happened in 118 if covid never happened. Make more sense for Inoue to move up weight and face tougher competition to cement his status as the #1 P4P. But also, I expect for Inoue to collect all the titles at featherweight in a span of 2 years at the least since it’s all scattered

Brandon throws wide, looping punches. Inoue throws straight, powerful shots and will beat Figueroa to the punch all night. Figueroa's strengths are his durability and his high volume punching. That high volume will be muted after he gets hit solidly everytime he lets his hands go. He'll probably survive till the second half of the fight but not much beyond that. Inoue by stoppage around round 8 or 9.

Everyone that fights inoue coming in to brawl loses within 5rds. Inoues boxing style is the best for brawlers. Knowing figueroa he won't back down and keep coming in. Easy work for inoue. Would be a fun fight though. Figueroa will not be much different than most fighters, he doesnt have defense nor is he faster or stronger than inoue. Ya both giving fig too much, the reason why ya havent seen anyone come in at inoue like fig would is because everyone has gotten KOed before passing 8rds. Inoue is just too good and strong. Easy fight for inoue, should def be in US.

I'm heavily leaning towards Inoue but it's never a sure thing with boxing. We haven't seen Inoue at 126 yet, but I can't see why he wouldn't do well there given how he's better than ever at 122. Either way, I think it's a super fun fight while it lasts.

Inoue is just too fast and accurate, it ain’t even about power at this point, all Inoue needs is timing and he will get Figueroa. Figueroa is just too sloppy and slow as well.

It would be at 70 - 30 fight in favor of Inoue. Like Fulton! I told the other channels that Fulton vs Inoue is not 50 - 50 fight. They all said Fulton would of school Inoue. What happened? And you want to talk about Russell and Warren? Inoue wanted to fight either of them, they did not want the smoke from Inoue.

Figueroa would eventually get busted up and broken down by the 6th. I know it's almost a non-starter since he recently moved up to 130 but if anyone has a chance against Inoue it would be Magsayo. He's more durable and has got the X-Factor; which is knock out power even in the later rounds.
Figueroa is a Featherweight. He's at 126. He won the WBC Interim title on March 4, 2023.

Inoue will be running in circles around Figueroa. Figueroa is too long and slow. There is no comparison. Once Figueroa feels Inoue's power and speed, he will be in survival mode. I know you guys just want to see Figueroa get laid out on the canvas. Inoue will dig out Figueroa's liver and hand it to him. This would look like the Magarito vs Pacquiao fight with Inoue knocking him out with a liver shot.
Too wide of poll results. Inoue's team has said they want to stay at 122 for a bit. He makes it look easy but it isn't easy getting these wins. He's already in his 30s so he'll only lose speed and punch resistance as he ages. 126 will be hard. Brandon will be in his Prime and huge vs a 32~33 year old Inoue at 130.

Saudia arabia is the new vegas... all the best fights are happening there now. smart move by the saudis, the richest asians will go see that fight and im sure they will discuss business.
