I highly recommend it; it’s my favorite show rn. The acting is so good, and I love the cinematography, music, and script. It’s based off the books, but it’s set in 2020/21, so quite a bit changes with the tech and such. Tom is a bigger part of the story from the get-go, and Alex’s first mission is Point Blanc instead of Stormbreaker (there was already a movie of Stormbreaker, so they didn’t see a need to rehash it). They do take elements from Stormbreaker like Ian’s death, and Alex meeting Blunt and Mrs. Jones and such. The show is TV-14, and it definitely deserves the rating especially later on as the action gets more intense. They tried to take a more realistic approach to it all, so there aren’t as many gadgets as there are in the books. Alex is also 16 instead of 14. One of the commenters mentioned Kyra, and she’s a girl Alex meets at Point Blanc (half of the Grief clones are female, but they explain how that works in the show). Alex is very isolated in the books, and he is still that way to some extent in the tv series; but I think Kyra was great addition. She’s a hacker, and later on, Alex can go to her instead of Smithers if he wants to investigate something without MI6 knowing. Anyways, it is different from the books, but every interview I’ve seen Anthony Horowitz do for the show is just him raving about how much he loves how Guy Burt (the show runner) adapted it (Horowitz even said he’s been including Tom more in his recent writings because of how much he likes Tom in the show). TLDR: It’s set in 2020/21, so the tech is different and that does affect the missions a bit. Point Blanc is Alex’s first mission. Tom is a bigger part of it all, and Kyra is a new character Alex meets at Point Blanc (but she’s awesome). It IS different, but it doesn’t go completely off the rails.
This makes me want to re read Alex rider since I spent ages reading it and forgot most things in stormbreaker
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤❤
Well where we can watch free full movie
Is this a new show based on the books? If it’s close to canon then I’ll watch it. Do you recommend it?
Basically throws canon out the window with kyra and tom especially in the last series
I’ve never read the books but it’s a really good show you should watch it
