They took out Vax's tearful "fuck you" as he killed Thordak, but the scene was still epic, especially with the words Elaina spoke to the twins echoing in Vax's head.
The fuck you is so blunt But It’s grounded and is full of emotion. It feels like a thing someone would really say to the killer of their mother No long killing monologue. No eloquent words. Just rage filed “fuck you”
Im going to be real this scene made me cry, and it was because in my mind I knew this was the end of Lance Reddick in media. Rest In Peace Lance Reddick your final performance is one that I will remember for as long as I can. See you star side Commander.
A few of my favorite details: 1) triumphant reprisal of Vex’s death music theme. Symbolizing Vax avenging his mom instead of losing his sister 2) you can see the moment where Vax uses his bonus action to dash and get ahead of Thordak. 3) Vex grabs Vax’s hand before he takes off, building on the growth of Vax always needing his sister from s2 (instead of Vax projecting that Vex always needs him) 4) the way the screen cuts from Vax’s face to his moms and vice versa shows how similar their facial structure is. The twins resemble their mom more than their father.
Love how the music is a triumphant reprise of the song that plays on Vex's death. The first time was about loss, grief, and devastation. This version is about finally moving on from grief by conquering it. Love the choreography of Vax flying after Thordak, surrounding himself with light as he remembers his mother, and screaming the name of his foe as he kills him. Like an angel vanquishing a demon to the depths of hell. Easily one of Liam's best screams as he channels Vax's rage in that final strike.
I absolutely love how after they defeat thordak there isn't a sense of triumph in fact is the complete opposite, they have lost so much at that point that is hard to celebrate even if they've won
By far this was the most epic moment in the entire series for me Vax just going through Thordak’s fucking chest was metal as all hell and screaming out his name

@@toadlord8594it has more attention than hazbin hotel which lost a lot of its credibility by cutting nearly the entire cast for “Broadway” singers which weren’t much better.
