This song had genuinely meant so much to me (and still does), and even though I cannot hear it anymore, I still come back often just to watch the video. I came here after just watching Ocean Likes Me and then reading up a bit on the main cast members. In that series, Holland's character says in a late episode that it is easier to give up. It is but I am particularly glad he fought on. Message for Holland - one day, maybe when you are as old as I am, there will be no need for anyone to come out because there will be no more differentiation between people. When I was a kid I campaigned for equality, I marched, I published, I was a right pain in the butt at times. Decades later, many countries gave that equality - decades after that we are still waiting for the prejudice in people's minds to go, for them to just understand that, in the terms often used in BL's, love has no gender. Kudos to you, keep being you.

There are no wars going on here, almost everybody here can get a job and has a roof above their heads, people even get paid to study (so they do not need to have a large sum of money), there, poverty here is very rare and if there is, they are being supported, we have healthy drinking water and in almost all places, healthy air. Despite what all the people say in the comments, I think his voice is amazing. It's very unique. A lot of people are used to vocals like, idk, EXO or BTS, something like that, but I think his voice is special and it fits the song. I really like the kind of raspiness to it and the way he doesnt have to belt out high notes and hard adlibs to make me absolutely fasinated with his voice.
Aria Petersen Bts have weak vocals and many people dont even notice. They can of course improve so idk why people get that offended when they say he needs to improve his vocals, most idols can take notes too. What matters is that he is a great idol.

Usually I’m a harsh critic when it comes to music but this isn’t actually as bad as people claimed it to be. The beat and rhythm is actually pretty easygoing and chill, I think it’s just the producer of this song didn’t properly layer his voice so that’s why his voice influxes slightly in and out like that in the song. It could also be of his weak vocals but he has potential since his voice is nice to listen to and unique. I just hope he hires a vocal coach to strengthen his technique.

And being out and proud in the military can be dangerous as there have been reports of beatings and assaults towards LGBT men within the military, there is even a story from 2018 where a korean man in the military was imprisoned for being in an open consensual gay relationship. They should wait because it's dangerous and they could get seriously injured as well as imprisoned. Feel free to do your own research.

I came here after just watching Ocean Likes Me and then reading up a bit on the main cast members. In that series, Holland's character says in a late episode that it is easier to give up. It is but I am particularly glad he fought on. Message for Holland - one day, maybe when you are as old as I am, there will be no need for anyone to come out because there will be no more differentiation between people. When I was a kid I campaigned for equality, I marched, I published, I was a right pain in the butt at times. Decades later, many countries gave that equality - decades after that we are still waiting for the prejudice in people's minds to go, for them to just understand that, in the terms often used in BL's, love has no gender. Kudos to you, keep being you.

There are no wars going on here, almost everybody here can get a job and has a roof above their heads, people even get paid to study (so they do not need to have a large sum of money), there, poverty here is very rare and if there is, they are being supported, we have healthy drinking water and in almost all places, healthy air. So let me just get this out.. I’m korean girl and I’ve been really wanting to talk about this a while ago. I think korea finally needs to come out of that “everything has to be perfect and match out traditional beauty standards” thing. I’ve been bullied for having tan skin, for being “too tall” and not matching the “cute little girl” Standard and it’s just the same with different sexual orientations.. korea is such a conservative country and it’s sad that many people don’t accept that a human can be DIFFERENT. Being different is not something you should be ashamed of, being disrespectful against them is. I hope this song is a start or the first little step to change korea. I really hope that some day you or someone out there in the world can be accepted as their real self and don’t change for someone else. You just do your own thing and be yourself and I’m sure one day you’ll find someone who appreciates the REAL you.

I believe Holland has quite a different voice from the usual idol as his singing voice is deeper while everyone is used to idols with high pitched voices i think that's why many may not like it at first. Usually I’m a harsh critic when it comes to music but this isn’t actually as bad as people claimed it to be. The beat and rhythm is actually pretty easygoing and chill, I think it’s just the producer of this song didn’t properly layer his voice so that’s why his voice influxes slightly in and out like that in the song. It could also be of his weak vocals but he has potential since his voice is nice to listen to and unique. I just hope he hires a vocal coach to strengthen his technique.

Es tan hermoso, no puedo parar de escuchar y reproducir el mv. Amo la letra, amo todo. Luego de leer la traducción me terminó de llegar el mensaje totalmente. Simplemente es hermoso, me encanta que varias personas lo apoyen en esto, debe de ser hiper valioso para él, el mundo en general es bastante cerrado y crítico cuando de la homosexualidad u otros géneros se trata y Corea más aún ... por como es la sociedad coreana muchas personas habitualmente sufren por tener que ocultar lo que sienten, entre ellos varios son ídols, qué cargan con mayores críticas. En todos los países pasa eso también, aunque lo es en menor grado. Es muy valiente al debutar definiéndose abiertamente gay, por eso es lindo que todos le den apoyo. Recuerden algo... ésta es la generación del cambio, los jóvenes de ahora somos los que vamos a definir el mundo del mañana, no digo que todos seamos homosexuales, trans, etc, sino que hay que aprender a respetar a los otros por igual y no juzgar, qué cada uno sea feliz a su manera y no entrometernos en ello.

And being out and proud in the military can be dangerous as there have been reports of beatings and assaults towards LGBT men within the military, there is even a story from 2018 where a korean man in the military was imprisoned for being in an open consensual gay relationship. They should wait because it's dangerous and they could get seriously injured as well as imprisoned. Feel free to do your own research.

@@Faustthewitcher because in Korea being gay isn't something alot of people openly talk about it so with some people having a lack of knowledge about the LGBTQ community some people in the military might bully/harass him because he is Gay and they might be scared of it since they don't know about it. That's why people are kinda worried about him going to the military.

I'm 13 yo and i'm a straight girl but for me this MV is the best thing i've ever seen! I love the fact that he accept himself. He is such a good exemple for us because that's not easy to support all homophobics comments but he still lives his life. I love him so much! And btw the kiss was fabulous better than straight kisses.
In reality I have a problem with couples, I don't know why but hey (maybe it's the fact that I'm single who knows? lol seriously I still have time and it doesn't bother me more than that) but LGBT couples always make me smile surely the fact that they assert themselves since I don't accept myself in any way ... but they give me joy to see them happy.

I agree. Im also 13 except im bisexual and it makes me so happy to see an idol coming out and expressing his true self despite the hate and backlash he'll get.
