RuthAnne, I want to thank you for suggesting Valerie’s Uncommon Scents. I ordered maybe 20 different 10mil oils + perfumes and they are incredible! I was even able to find interpretations of things that have been discontinued or that I can’t afford. What a gold mine, thank you!
I’ve missed your videos so much Ruth Anne! Alkemia is a great indie brand. I love their “Enchantress” perfume oil. It smells like sweet, ambery Amaretto. So glad to see you back! 🤗
Following your example, I also try to use up my bottles. This makes a fantastic difference, for the number of bottles in my collection, obviously for my wallet, but also for peace of mind. I no longer buy impulsively, so the risk of a failed purchase is minimal, but the fact that something I own will expire is also small. I must thank you once again for your positive influence ❤❤❤👍☺️👋🤣
Cashmere Mist is just gorgeous! It is outrageously expensive to buy now. Over 100 Euro for a 30 ml is just way too much for me. Amethyst is a very beautiful scent but doesn't last very long on me. I think the newer bottles have less of a projection than when it came out first.
@@ruthannemackinnon588 it was me who'd made the recommendation so you can imagine how happy I was to hear you rave about it. It's a favorite of mine, too, for all the same reasons: it's fresh, bright, clean, soft and perfect for spring and summer 😊
Hi RuthAnne! I owned Amethyst a while back and enjoyed it but decluttered it at the end. It was one I liked to use in the fall especially when I took walks in the woods. It’s very specific but the earthiness in this perfume made it hard to wear for me and I only liked it outside in fresh air. Not worth keeping then…
I don't pick up green notes in amethyst. I like it. Very berry. The part I think I don't like is the red currant which comes off like lichi to me. I wonder how the flankers are in comparison.
RuthAnne, is the Donna Karen Cashmere Mist that worked so well for you the EdT or the EdP version. Thank you for all your videos. We wait for them patiently because we know you have a life beyond UA-cam, but we do wait knowing how much we’ll value the opinions you form throughout your fragrance journey. ❤️
I just finished a bottle of that rhianna perfume and i had to laugh....i could never remember if it was rebelle or reb'l fleur either. I also hated the bottle and that's why i used it up, but loved the perfume. Your channel is a breath of fresh air.
lol Me too, Summer...I am using mine up because the bottle takes up so much room on my tray but I always enjoy the perfume! Mine was in the bottle with black, whichever one that was!
I LOVE Alkemia. One of my favorite, small indie producers (and not stupidly expensive compared to many others). I adore their county fair scent, carnation oil, and their patchouli automne. They also have this incredible « Pi » perfume that smells like apple pie with sparkling aldehydes. So cool. I also lovvvve that Rihanna scent (the bottle is atrocious + is supposed to look like a stiletto). I think it is as good as Mugler’s Muse for much cheaper. I’m not surprised by your review of Cashmere Mist + it reminds me that I need to wear it more. I tend to gravitate toward ambers and less to clean scents, but someone gifted me a small bottle and every time I wear it I am surprised by how utterly gorgeous + clean smelling but cozy it is. Oh and! LOVE Girl in Capri! Smells like a million bucks, I burned thru it in a summer. I need to try some of the oils you’ve mentioned. Thank you for your videos!!
I am always looking forward to your videos. You have taught me so much about American perfume brands and creators.

I am so inspired! I’m 45 and have never emptied a perfume! I feel proud when I use up a sample. I guess I’m a light sprayer!
I'm SO HAPPY you enjoyed A Girl In Capri! I knew you'd like it ❤
@jillianbowen7265 thank you so much!

Hey RuthAnne! I'm curious to know more about the longevity of your perfume oils. Thanks again for your videos 🎉!

@@soprano774 I'm very sorry I do not know & the bottle has been out to the big bin I'm afraid!
Thank you for your quick reply. I’ll start with the EdT. 🤞🏻❤️🍀
@@soprano774 This is the EDP. The EDP is clear glass whereas EDT is frosted glass:)
Thank you!👍🏻

I have a feeling you’d like Michael Kors Sexy Amber. I don’t remember if you’ve tried it or not.
