      Dear Friend @jmbcrp1010,
*Thank you very much* for your interest in our channel.
*_Q_* - _puedes por favor recomendarme la camara USB que sugiere la jetson nano?_
➡️ Jetson supports multiple camera interfaces including *USB, Ethernet, and MIPI CSI.* You can use according to your application. At its core, the Jetsons use the *_Linux kernel module Video Four Linux (version 2) (V4L2)_*
➡️ In case of USB Camera Series Jetson supports *_UVC(USB Video Class standard) - compliant board cameras._* The video from a USB camera takes a different route. In Linux, The USB Video Class driver (uvcvideo) is a Linux kernel module. The uvcvideo module supports extension unit controls (XU controls) to V4l2 through mapping and a driver-specific ioctl interface. Input/Output Controls (ioctls) are the interface to the V4L2 API. What this means is that a driver in a USB camera device can specify different device dependent controls, without uvcvideo or V4l2 having to specifically understand them. The USB camera driver hands a code for a feature, along with a range of possible values, to uvcvideo. When the user specifies a feature value for the camera, uvcvideo checks the bounds of the argument and passes it to the camera along with the feature code. The camera then adjusts itself accordingly.
➡️ You can also use USB Depth Cameras, High Speed Cameras with Jetson Boards. *_Check out following list from official NVIDIA website for Jetson Partner Supported Cameras_*

Is there a reason why a usb isn't used just like when imaging windows or Linux devices?

      Dear Derek @skylinegt6,
*Thank you very much* for your interest in our channel.
*_Q_* - _Is there a reason why a usb isn't used just like when imaging windows or Linux devices?_
➡️ Are you referring to OS imaging/cloning? If so, the Jetson Nano uses SD Card as main storage component. (to store the operating system). It may be bit easier and faster to make image/ISO of SD card(High Speed UHS-I/II) instead of using USB transfer method. However if you prefer to go with the USB transfer method then you can use a software package like *_Clonezilla_*. We never tried this method, but if you have figured it out, please let us know the results.

      Dear Mohamed @mohamedmansour2013,
*Thank you very much* for your interest in our channel.
*_Q_* - _I have 5 volt 2.5 amp adapter is that ok for just setup ?_
➡️ It is totally depends on which version of Jetson Nano you have. and What type of Carrier board you are using. Check out following link for more details -
      developer.nvidia.com/embedded/learn/jetson-nano-2gb-devkit-user-guide#id-.JetsonNano2GBDeveloperKitUserGuidevbatuu_v1.0-SCL
***Some versions of The Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kits cannot be powered via the Micro-USB connector.
If you are using old Jetson Nano(4GB/2GB) with *microUSB and 5V Power Jack (Like we used in video)* then Yes, you can try with 5 volt 2.5 amp adaptor for initial setup. If you are using USB Power then 5V⎓2 or 2.5A is recommended.
But please note that if you connect any external peripherals like USB Mouse, Keyboard and WiFi adapter etc. They sometimes consumes/sink more power and Nano is unable to boot. Some power hungry computations(AI/ Machine Vision applications) requires more CPU/GPU power, Hence it is recommended to use at least (3-4A power for Jack) and 2.5-3A for micro USB(for old Boards).
📌Please check your Nano version then check your carrier board specifications and then choose correct power supply accordingly.
⚠️***Since Nano is very expensive dev board. Please be cautious. Do not plug-in any random power adaptors unless you confirm/sure about voltages and current ratings. Check your device specific user manuals and datasheets for more details⚠️

      Solutions ==>
-- If you are using *Jetson Nano 2GB/4GB* (old Hardware variant which reached EOL support)
➡️ Have you tried Nano with Jetpack 4.6.1 ?
During our project development and As per our experimentation/testing, we found Jetpack 4.6.1 is the most stable release for Jetson Nano.
You can try other versions also. Following is the Archives page. (4.6.1 to 4.6.6)

After I do the first boot into my Jetson Nano 4GB. The autosetup GUI where you set the time, your new username, expand the drive does not start. All I get is the desktop. *Thank you very much* 🙏 for your interest in our channel.
*_Q_* - _.. The autosetup GUI where you set the time, your new username, expand the drive does not start_
➡️ Which version of Jetpack version you are trying to install?
At the time of creating this tutorial we used Jetpack 4.6. If you are using latest version, then there might be change in starting GUI setup in latest OS release.
Sometime Debian Linux/Ubuntu boots into live mode, which is also called "Try Ubuntu before you install it" mode.
If your Jetson boots in such mode then don't worry, just log in with live image. and then You will get 'Install OS' option icon on somewhere on Desktop. Just double click that to start the installation, then you will be able to set options like time, preferred language etc.
      🔗 ubuntu.com/tutorials/try-ubuntu-before-you-install#1-getting-started
*_Q_* - _..logged in using username, pass: nvidia, nvidia_
➡️ It means that, the OS you have flashed on SD card is pre-configured already. It may be just cloned image installed OS. If this version is running with no issues then use it. You don't need to worry about drive expansion or other configuration.

I hope you are doing well. I am currently facing a significant issue with my Nvidia Jetson Nano 2GB, which I recently acquired for a project. I followed the official guide for the initial configuration, but I am encountering a major problem when attempting to flash the image onto the SD card.
Specifically, I used BalenaEtcher to flash the image onto the SD card. The flashing process itself seems to go smoothly, but during the validation process, the SD card gets divided into multiple partitions. Furthermore, numerous pop-up messages appear on the display, prompting me to format the disk. When I click on cancel, an error message pops up stating: "le volume ne contient pas de système de fichiers connu. Veuillez vérifier si tous les pilotes de système de fichiers nécessaires sont chargés et si le volume n'est pas endommagé." (Translation: "The volume does not contain a known file system. Please check if all necessary file system drivers are loaded and if the volume is not damaged.")
I would like to highlight that I have tried formatting the SD card before flashing the image. I attempted formatting it once with FAT32 and then with Ext4, but the problem persisted.
Additionally, when I connect my HDMI cable to the Jetson Nano, which I know is functional, nothing is displayed on the monitor. This occurs specifically after I insert the SD card into the Jetson Nano.
I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. Your guidance and support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.

*Thank you very much* 🙏 for your interest in our channel.
*_Q_* - _---The volume does not contain a known file system. Please check if all necessary file system drivers are loaded and if the volume is not damaged_
➡️ When you flash Jetson Nano OS onto SD card, multiple partitions get automatically created during OS installation, so "Multiple pop-ups" about different drives is common issue(which is not actually a problem. In windows machine these partitions get automounted(enumerated) in File manager.
*Do not format any of these partition - even it is saying unsupported file system. Just close the pop-up whenever it get displayed*
Since Jetpack OS is Ubuntu Based it will have partitions like (SWAP, FS, EXT4 etc) sometime Windows doesn't understand the FS format and gives these kind of errors.
*_Q_* - _...I would like to highlight that I have tried formatting the SD card before flashing the image. I attempted formatting it once with FAT32 and then with Ext4, but the problem persisted_
➡️ *SD card should be in its default formatting - FAT32*

*_Q1. Do you need antenna? With nic?_*
Yes this AC8265 Wireless NIC module requires 2 SMA antennas (2.4GHz / 5GHz) with IPEX connectors.
But if you are looking for more affordable solution, then you can also use USB WiFi Adapter instead of AC8265. These USB WiFi Adapters (802.11ac), mostly used for desktop PC's which don't have Wi-Fi capabilities. You can easily use them with Jetson Nano running Ubuntu OS. But just make sure that, it comes with generic driver support. you can use following or something like it.

*_Q_* - _Can you tell me, why you did not chose the simplest path of using an ethernet cable to connect into a router port. Is there a problem with this simple method_
➡️ Yes! You're absolutely right. If display/Screen (Monitor) is available, Then *_Ethernet connection method is simplest_* one. At the time of making this video Tutorial ( in Oct21), We'd Jetson Nano Dev Kit came with AC8265 Wireless NIC module, So that's why we've included its interfacing in video. Unfortunately, We missed to mention this ethernet config method in Display mode setup explanation.
➡️ Some of our Students had only Laptops, but they do not have their own Monitor Display screens. Hence we added Headless Mode Setup Explanation.
Thank you for your valuable suggestion, We'll definitely try to cover this topic, whenever we make any other Setup video Tutorial on Jetson Nano.

      Dear @dctans.3671,
*Thank you very much* for your interest in our channel.
      *_Q_* - _Can I use sd card 512 GB?_
➡️ Yes you can. Nano has UHS-I card reader with SDXC support. As per NVIDIA forums, it can support up to 2TB card with about 100MB/s read/write speed.
High speed memory card is recommended.
We haven't used more than 64GB card, but see no reason 512GB to fail.

Dear @veshal ram , 🙏 *Thank you very much* for your interest in our channel.
I think you are referring to 4 USB ports of Jetson Nano? Right?
If so, then you've to check it thoroughly again. Re-flash the SD card Jetson OS again. Connect Jetson Nano in Headless/Display mode (as instructed in video) and check those USB ports again. If problem still persist, then you need to contact your device vendor and try to get replacement for the hardware.
Check the USB cables also, sometimes cables are also faulty.

First lets start supplying the jetson to the bloody market place................

Dear @dgb5820, *Thank you very much* for your interest in our channel.
Yes, There is currently a global shortage of Jetson Nano Dev Kit. Unapproved resellers are capturing a decent slice of the single-board computer market for vast margins due to unavailability from official retailers. This same situation happened with Raspberry Pi recently. _Jetson Nano isn’t discontinued, however inventory has been low due to supply chain issues and component shortages with the devkit._ Hope NVIDIA will resolve this issue faster.
There are few options to find a workaround for the Nano's current scarcity.
Like, There are some decent resellers, selling Nvidia Jetson Nano Module SoC with their custom made Carrier boards. Ping us on email/Telegram/WhatsApp, we'll help you find nearest vendor at your location.
