    I get that most riders are going to have a personal preferences for pedals, pads, seats ect. However for the price we pay for EUCs today, these companies need to do better. Adam i hear you mention BMS alot and you are correct. Begode at the very least provides pedals that many riders actually use, and it seems they are trying things with pads. Like the v13 is 6k (Canada) a brand new kawasaki ninja starts around 7100, I expect inmotion to have some e-rides ironman equivalent pedals and some proper pads, and a BMS. After you purchased pads, ferrings, pedals, you are beyond the price of a kawasaki ninja.

      also there's some other stuff needs to be mentioned. For example the price of used electro car like Nissan Leaf. Not talking about comfort, passengers you can take with. But about quality of manufacturing or amount of technologies used. Also the reliability of it is more

      @mgzus366 yeah exactly. I'm about done with EUCs at this time. I have a s22 and you can't go 300 km on it without something breaking, I have to listen to a popping bearing because build quality, I'm sure my board will go next at that point I'm throwing it out. Some Ancient Knowledge: battery with higher discharge power like 40T like to be charge at 0.5C ( lower than this will have shorten life span ) , while high capacity like 50T like 0,25C ( above this will shorten their life span ). So yeah, basically we can fully recharge 4kWh EUC in ~4H ( if ocourse wires and BMS will handle 1.1kW xD )

      With the S, I'd say 200km at 35-40kmh is the sweet spots if charging at 15 amp during snacks/pitstop, so that you dont really wait for the wheel to charge.
      If the Sherman S can do reliably more than 15 amps, then the range so that you dont wait for the wheel would be more.

    My best guess, based on the Sherman S, is this smaller battery config is 2s15s3p. [edit: It's 4P. ]
    And using Samsung 21700 50E cells. I believe the two temperature sensors became an absolute necessity when Veteran chose those cells. Running the 3000W motor with the cells Veteran chose is probably fine, but Samsung spec indicates 14.4A [edit: 3C is 14700mA] pulse ONLY when under 60°C.
    That's "only" a 5.4kW pulse for a motor that can do peak 7kW with a 8p config. [edit: It's actually 5292W@90V, 6403W@108.9V, 7408W@126V]
    I hope I'm either wrong about this or... [edit: I was somewhat wrong about this, but with these 50E cells this pack will still wear a lot faster]

    • @oliverer3
      @oliverer3 Рік тому +1

      Doing the math gives me a peak-rated burst output of 6350W at the nominal voltage or 7408W at full charge. It's worth noting however that the max-rated non-continuous discharge current on these cells is still for many seconds (or even minutes if you happened to have active cooling). Actual pulse currents

    • @submijiru
      @submijiru Рік тому

      @@oliverer3 Yeah 4p makes more sense. I didn't divide by nominal voltage and assumed it was a 3p.
      edit: Still, with a 3000W motor it's still pulling over 1C. Not good for these cells. Meanwhile a 50S exists and at 1.2C it's much better match for the Patton in this s30p4 configuration. (But more expensive, maybe, maaaybe, add 500 cost but probably a lot less and for a $3000 wheel I don't see why Leaperkim is cutting costs here by using the same cells.)
      Imo I wouldn't push this battery past 30%, store it at ~100V and put time between charging and riding as much as possible. And not fast charge ever.

      @dirt.surfer Рік тому +1

      Depends on what riding your after friend. Like this Patton here is really a good trail wheel, you well not have a good time at speed with a small tire, and your range won't be great but not terrible. The way this is all made you're going to have enormous torque, it will be a under 50 kph on road. If you want high quality build speed decent range v13 very heavy takes time to get used to and not very portable. S22 you well have close to same range as the Patton, you can cruise safely around 65kph. Basically almost all wheels today have suspension in them, biggest things to consider is you're use case.

I never intend to troll, but often I’m opinionated or at worst, dismissive of poor design decisions. I find EUCs to be psychically and spiritually enriching experiences, so I advocate for consumer driven changes.
      I’m just curious, critical and skeptical and I’m excited to promote trends that are beneficial to the community of enthusiasts. I hope that I’m harness, so I’m open to criticism.

    • @dirt.surfer
      @dirt.surfer Рік тому +1

      @grb1969 Well, you should be aware that the tech specs are very poor. Kingsong advertised this as a commuter wheel, it won't be that unless your commute is 30 to 40km. This wheel doesn't fit anywhere. The entire design is bad. I pilot an s22 that suspension is really bad. Whatever Kingsong puts in it, you will replace that's a promise. That 3500 watt motor is not going to do well on 1700ish wh, and the whole disco crap they got going on well this is a toy. They have the same rim as a s18, I own a s18 that rim is terribly soft and well bend if you look at it same tire too and it's so bad. Same pedals as the s22, yep you well want to replace those too.
      I have spoke to a few dealers, they won't be getting these for sale because it's just bad in pretty much every way. This is kingsongs bud light moment. They yet to have a long range cruiser, this would have been a smart move, not making a poorly made toy.

    • @oliverer3
      @oliverer3 Рік тому

      I think it's two-fold, people are used to Veteran wheels having the largest batteries and Leaper Kim seems to have rated the range of this wheel much closer to real-world figures combined with the slightly lower efficiency of a smaller wheel diameter means it looks worse on paper. As a comparison, the InMotion V11 is rated at 120km of range with a 1500Wh battery while the Veteran Patton with 2200Wh is rated at 130km, so if you only read the spec sheets it looks pretty bad.
