    They are so beautiful. Just made one. Changed the colors slightly. Used milky opal and semi op white colored crystals. Between the 2 crystals I added periwinkle blue 11/0 seed beads instead of the white and for the second time around the Pearl I added 15/0 periwinkle seeds. They turned out beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I have to make the match now and another for a pendant to hang from a twisted herringbone rope necklace made in same color combination. Then if course the matching twisted herringbone bracelet to match the necklace. No snowflakes of that however as it would be too big. But will add some crystals to dangle from clasp.

    As for waxing or conditioning my thread. I find it necessary. It helps a lot with fraying. It is also very helpful for preventing knots and tangles. In the winter months it is so dry and lots of static in the air. If I don't condition my thread it tangle and knots. Each home and climate is different. So do what works best for you.

    Beautiful - but I wish you had said that the number of bicones listed was for EACH snowflake. I had to take out the first 2 arms of the first snowflake when I realized that I didn't have enough blue bicones for both earrings. I had to choose a different color. Very frustrating. Thank you for a lovely pattern, though. I appreciate all the work you put into this.

    Swarovski isn't going to stop making beads. They are going back to selling higher end items. You can still get Swarovski through Fire Mountain Gems though. They will be selling Swarovski exclusively.

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  2 роки тому

      I'm in the Netherlands, I can not afford a package of beads from FMG's. I use to get them from another supplier who now is no longer selling due to this debacle.... FMG should not have monopoly on swarovski beads.

    • @katielyb
      @katielyb 2 роки тому

      @@B4Pbakup I 100% agree. I ordered from FMG once and even I think they're shipping costs are too high. They do have quite the collection of beads though. They must have a huge wearhouse stocked full somewhere.
      From what I'm too understand, from an article I read, is that Swarovski suffered financially when COVID happened. I have a difficult time believing that because I know I was ordering more beads while stuck at home. Apparently when Swarovski started out they considered themselves a luxury item and only sold to high end jewelry makers so that's what they decided to go back to. When I first learned about rivolis I went a little crazy buying them so I have a bit of a stock pile. I wonder how much it would cost me to ship something to you. I'm guessing there's a mark up from businesses.

    somehow I don't have 2 white beads under the bottom bicone on the second one. I've taken it apart several times and started over and I still have the issue. I don't understand what I'm missing. The first one came out perfect. 😢

    • @jackietomkins5085
      @jackietomkins5085 10 місяців тому +1

      I don't think she's monitoring this anymore. So for anybody that's having the same issue as me I think I figured it out. I could not see what she was doing after pausing and pausing and pausing many times. When it came to closing the second piece off onto the middle ring. The reason there isn't 2 white seed beads at the bottom below the bottom bicone it's because you're supposed to add another one on. I believe, then through the middle sb plus 2 more. After redoing mine and going over and over the video this was the only thing that seems to work. . I'll come back when it's done to let you all know for sure. Also at 9:43 she said left but put the needle through the right sb on the first "branch" for lack of a better word. After catching it and fixing it, it holds together correctly. It's a beautiful pattern and I'm great full to her for it, but little things like being too low on the video, thumb covering the work of saying left instead of right can made a huge impact. I spent from 7 am until 1pm until I figured it out this far. I can't even say how many times I reworked it and/or started completely over After just beginning on the 3rd branch it it was still wrong. I'm usually quite good at this but those few little things managed to be big issues.
