She proved that he was number two. She proved that she was selfish and didn’t care about him by deceiving him so that he entered the marriage under false pretenses so that she could “get her needs met”. She downplayed the extent of the relationship calling it “occasional” when it was 2-3 times per week of intimacy and even more when he was out of town, plus the emotional affair, the phone calls and family gatherings and all of the other time they spent together. This story is a real BRAIN TEASER.....I don't think the character,Rob, handled the response to his wife, Maggie's bisexuality well AT ALL . She obviously sought to provide for him as her husband, but found the need to fulfill her bisexual nature with Christine. I imagine it would be a difficult position to be thrust into, but an understanding could have been reached if he was willing to save their marriage!!! I enjoyed this story 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
She deceived him. If this was her preference fine but shevshould have informed him PRIOR to marriage so he could make his choice wisely. It's quite different to spring it on him after the fact. I would not have touched her again fearing an std and I would have had myself tested. This marriage was a farce from the start.
He lost trust and the ability to make an informed decision PRIOR to marriage. He was correct if she felt forced to make a decision it was only a matter of time till she resented him and try to engage with her girlfriend behind his back. He was also right to cut ties with his brother over his covering for her decite.
Like you I don't think the issues are as clearcut as 'she was a cheater, ditch the bitch'. Firstly contrary to the initial impression this was not wife swapping, nor were parties involved or multiple liaisons with random stranger. However, the wife had been meeting Christina for lesbian for 5 + years before she met her future husband, concealed that fact, and lied afterwards to continue the relationship clandestinely for 6 years until caught ,all on the basis that she felt her husband was homophobic and would likely not marry her / end their marriage if he found out. That is cheating and there was no way to save the marriage . I have no idea how many men knowingly accept their wife being bi and having a lesbian partner in their marriage. I guess a major problem would be that in marriages many of the important decisions are made in bed, so the wife being in bed at different times with her male and female partners would likely produce a tug of war on the decsion making front?
