So it would have been interesting to know how far he had to drive to go back home. I would have thought he'd have left the tent up. Also, he brought back a different stove.
Happy Thanksgiving from the UK, enjoy your turkey, we don't get our turkey til Christmas day but I'm gonna enjoy it this year, it's just my little family, no drama for a change (plus it means I can stay in my pyjamas 😂)
I love how honest you are, Andy. Not everyone would have admitted to restarting their camp. That's why we love you....plus, you're a damn fine cook. Last winter I watched so many of your videos and you reawakened my love of camping...we're sailors in the summer. I have now bought two different hot tents. lol. I have the OneTigris Rock Fortress for Canadian winter and will use the OneTigris CozShack for the other 3 seasons. I love to cook too and will be sharing my outdoor cooking videos. I am 66 years old and have had metastatic melanoma twice...You helped bring joy back in to my life. tysm Of course, you also introduced me to your friends. What a great group of guys you are.
From West Chester, OH - Thank you Andy for taking us along on another relaxing, winter nature adventure. Cheers! And thank you for celebrating Thanksgiving🏕️
Truely an American type Thanksgiving camp! When things do not work, you make them work, lol. Thanks for an enjoyable camp and the nod to our traditions. We look forward to trying your sauces when available here in the USA. Happy Holidays, Andy! Thanks for so many hours of entertainment!
I don't usually comment, but I wanted to say that you have been a comfort watch for me over the years and I just wanted to thank you for that. Also, if you do end up shipping globally in the new year with your beer I would love to buy some to support you. Much love from the United States, CatLand :D
The beer was from his last video and I believe they were a sponsor and they do ship to other locations. The sauces are only to the UK at the moment. FYI The beers did look good though and getting like 10 beers free is a great deal. Too bad I don't drink. Lol
Thanks for another enjoyable video Andy. The sweet potatoes my mother always cooked by peeling them, cutting them into cubes and placing them in a greased baking dish, cutting small pads of butter to place over the top and then sprinkling brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice over the top. Cover with foil or lid and bake in the oven. The potatoes will actually taste like pumpkin pie or you could use just brown sugar and cinnamon, either way it is delicious. We celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada as well but we celebrate it earlier than the USA. Happy Thanksgiving to our neighbours across the border. Saying hello from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 . Oh and yes, just another old lady watching and enjoying your video’s that help to remind us of our youth and camping. ❤😊
As a woman from the American South, Stilton would have been the perfect complement to the sweet tater, roasted in the skin, cut in half, cheese sprinkled over the top to melt: easy peasy and not so cloyingly sweet. But I am not a traditional Southerner. I commend you on the other dishes, especially because they were cooked in camp! Happy T-Day!
I really liked your urban camping episode on that rooftop in London. Part of what I liked about it is you did the whole thing without a car. I'd be interested to see a few videos where you take advantage of the great transit options in the UK to do some camping without a vehicle. It'd be interesting to see what options are available and how to pack for something like that.
Love that you include the errors too.. Mate of mine a few years back. His missus packed n repacked the car 3 times. They drive 4 hours across the country to the coastal camp site. Went to unpack and she never packed a tent!
I’m supposed to be prepping for 9 people for Thanksgiving Day dinner tomorrow, but I don’t care if dinner is a bit late bc I HAVE to watch your video! I’ll just get up earlier in the morning and do my sweet potatoes and stuffing for my 22-lb turkey along with everything else my family expects when they all arrive. As always, you know how to adapt to an unexpected situation and that’s perfectly fine with your devoted viewers, including me. Always a surprise on your adventures. Loved the video tonight. Stay safe, stay well, Andy. See you again soon! Happy Thanksgiving from Aurora, Ohio, USA!
Awesome!!!! Thanks for paying homage to America with a Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of love from me and my family here in Idaho. You're the best Cousin Andy.❤😊🎉
Love your videos and your cooking I’ve used some of your cooking tips. I believe that the reason you don’t have a stove jack is because they don’t want a hot stove on the ice. So the ice won’t melt below them while they’re fishing. They barely heat those ice fishing tents. Heat just enough to keep chill off and the hands warm. Basically the tent just keeps the wind off.
You definitely need to be careful but you can definitely keep an ice fishing tent fairly warm. You need an insulated heat-proof mat to sit the actual stove on, but because heat rises the area just next to the floor is actually pretty cold almost no matter what you do. And just because of pure physics you will never be able to really endanger yourself even if it starts to melt a little bit, the real danger is in getting all your stuff wet and making the floor super slippery
Thanks for taking the time to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving ❤️Our "pigs in a blanket" is basically hot dogs wrapped inside Pillsbury biscuit dough. (There are a few variations if you look up American pigs in a blanket) A lot of us add brown sugar and cinnamon and sometimes a pinch of nutmeg to our sweet potatoes and add the marshmallows on top. (Probably depends on where you live in the US) Whenever I add just salt I never add marshmallows ontop.
12:14 up to this point is the way my camping usually goes! 😂 I appreciate you showing this and the steps to correct the issues. It’s good to know that even with all the experience you have at camping, it still happens sometimes. I’m not the only one who has camping blunders! You’ve taught me so much about camping and I appreciate your videos more than you know. Keep up the wholesome content and I wish great successes with your brand and continued growth of your channel! Thank you 🙏
The fact that you took the time to make a traditional American meal for Thanksgiving is very special. I am thankful to have found your channel last year Kent. Our pig in a blanket is cooking small smoked sausages inside a biscuit.
My boyfriend and I usually wait to watch these videos together, but sadly he’s in another country right now and I needed a bit of comfort. If you’re seeing this comment, Luke, I love you 🖤🖤🖤
Just started your video....but im at thenpoint where you cut a vent for the stove! Sir, i love how you over come snd adapt always! Thank you for sharing and not cutting this out! Cheers!
Good video. Thanks for keeping it real, Andy. Sometimes, things don't work out as planned. However, as long as we keep trying again or another day, things are good.
Thanks for treating the cousins across the pond like family with this tiny Thanksgiving feast. I have to say you had a near miss on the sweet potato. My family does not mash them but they are in chunks with brown sugar and the marshmallows get toasted in the oven or torched. You really made a pretty plate. Again, thanks for this video. I enjoyed the whole thing.
Brilliant camp....felt annoyed for you about the stove top, but you did some nifty improvisation for the stove jack fair play! Great thanksgiving dinner, tho I'm not too sure about the sweet potatoe and mallows, but it must be a thing! The tent did look well insulated, tho I know you have to repair the bit by the stove jack...but hey, anither fab video!! Many thanks again for all your hard work Andy!!😊
Kent my friend horizontal length of a stove is everything if you can get two of those stoves and have them weld it together so you have like a 2 m or so stove that will get you through all night keep that in mind shorter is bad
I enjoy your many types of camping adventures from a tarp shelter to insulated hot tents. Your cooking gives me ideas for myself. Watch your channel often. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦.
Kudos for sticking with it and adapting to the situation. Great video, as always, thank you for what you do. My health doesn’t allow me to do these things anymore but you are a great source of entertainment and your videos bring back many fond memories of my wife and daughter and I going camping when we were younger. It was our favorite thing to do.
Always nice to watch you out n about Andy, glad you managed to still have an enjoyable time and a wonderful meal after your minor set back. Till next time take care and stay well :)
Great cooking once again Andy thanks for persevering after a set back. Please can you include in future vids a carbon monoxide alarm if you carry one and show it. I realise this is not a how too vid but people will attempt these things without your level of skill and knowledge. Cheers bud 😊
Perfect.in the wood’s🌳🌳🌲🌲 .peace & quiet & Dinner looked delicious also Pigs in blankets & cranberry sauce what else do you possibly need. Great job Andy. Happy Thanksgiving USA fans . 🎉
Another good video I love that you leave the 'balls ups' in makes it a lot more human!!! lol Keep up the good work and take care look forward to your next camp.
Thank you for saying U.S.A. People forget that America is TWO continents. North America is Mexico, The U.S., and Canada. South America is the other American continent. I was taught in school to refer to us as the U.S.A. in respect for Mexico and Canada. ❤ Perfect effort at making your Thanksgiving meal! I think you made everything to your own tastes; which is exactly what we do here in the States too! Whatever sounds good, make it, bake it, and fill your belly with all the great food.😁
Andy u melted my heart making thanksgiving, and it looked so good, u did great. Many of us southern gals add sugar and pecans to our sweet potatoes. You should try it. Thank you.
Holy cow! Youre a braver man than me. Maybe because we live in a very high fire danger area (wollemi national park) but I simply couldnt modify a tent for the fireplace. Top video
This tent would be awesome for ice fishing. I laughed at your thanks giving dinner. All the trimmings. Tasty! I'm thankful for your vids. You always make me smile.
Thank you for another fun video, Andy. Happy Thanksgiving from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina USA! We do pigs in a blanket, but I wrap mine in croissant pastry and then bake. 😉
Traditionally most people add brown sugar and butter to the sweet potatoes and then top with Marshmallows and then put in the oven. Try it sometime I think you will like it. Love your videos!

Thanks Andy for the shout out to America. We never did the marshmallows on our sweet potatoes. But I know it is popular. You did a good job on the dinner. Keep up the good work, love the videos. From Montana, USA
Love your videos as always Andy thank you for always making us cozy and comfy along with you. I to wish I could buy your sauces and your beer. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Much love from the United States
Really sweet to see you celebrate one of our holidays, Andy. I agree that the sweet potatoes with marshmallow is a bit weird lol. Thank you for all the cozy videos, brother and cheers from Massachusetts!
It's always a fun watch when things don't go to plan. Especially because we all know that you almost always find a way to make it work. Thanks for the holiday entertainment.
“A sultan’s pajamas!” I love that description!
Right?? I was just about to post the exact same thing 😂
It’s actually comforting to see I’m not the only one that has to go back home when they’ve forgotten something vital to a trip! 😅
lol, been there, done that, got the tshirt...lol I need the tshirt
So it would have been interesting to know how far he had to drive to go back home. I would have thought he'd have left the tent up.
Also, he brought back a different stove.
@magi267 because he couldn't find part of the first one he brought.
He did find it and laugh about it later in the video.
I have to watch all of your videos. You don’t know how much joy you bring an old woman. Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving from the UK, enjoy your turkey, we don't get our turkey til Christmas day but I'm gonna enjoy it this year, it's just my little family, no drama for a change (plus it means I can stay in my pyjamas 😂)

This one too!
This old lady does also 🤣😂😅
As do I.

From West Chester, OH - Thank you Andy for taking us along on another relaxing, winter nature adventure. Cheers! And thank you for celebrating Thanksgiving🏕️
I love watching your videos. They make the world seem so much calmer.
Its nice to see other people forgetting stuff when camping as well.
Me too. I've actually got a good memory it's just really short.
if i ever had everything when i went camping it wouldnt feel right like the feeling of forgetting something and having to improvise lol
Truely an American type Thanksgiving camp! When things do not work, you make them work, lol. Thanks for an enjoyable camp and the nod to our traditions. We look forward to trying your sauces when available here in the USA. Happy Holidays, Andy! Thanks for so many hours of entertainment!
Thankgiving day is bad because it ignores the atrocities committed against Native Americans and First Nations' people, and perpetuates colonialism.
If it's a fishing tent, a lot of people will use a propane or butane heater, maybe that's why no stove jack.
A lot of the ones I have seen are heated by bodies and alcohol.
Yeah, hard to find much wood out on the ice.

It's a smurf tent, holds a whole family of them critters. I like how you persevered in this adventure and showed it warts and all.
The next one Andy is using is a Womble tent, you have to bury it underground first.
@@alexpervanoglu7420 Won't Andy have to make it from the things that everyday folk leave behind on Wimbledon common?
@petercornish9903 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, I guess he would.
It would be a good camping challenge though hey.
