My mother-in-law lost weight on carnivore. She was able to get off of 5 medications and she is no longer diabetic. She is 80 years old and I am proud of her.
@@susanclen I have a friend that eats good food, looks beautiful, healthy weight and in her 70's. The doctor all of a sudden wanted to put her on a Statins drug for cholesterol. So she went super strict vegan diet, and went from thin to, way too thin and now she has lost bone mass as well after a year of doing that. Now the doctors told her that she better not fall or she will break a hip. Her cholesterol numbers never did go down enough to please her doctor so now she is on a Statins drug to....before this doctor scared the hell out of my friend about her cholesterol she told me she felt great and had no health issues, now she has osteoporosis from eating almost nothing but lettuce for a year, and is most likely on her way to getting dementia from the Statins drug. What does knowing your cholesterol do for you? Why I ask that is because the medical system has turned cholesterol into a reason to give people meds. We actually need cholesterol for a healthy brain. My mother-in-law took Statin drugs for cholesterol, now she has dementia and has lost muscle in her legs and arms.
@@susanclen I'm 72, been carnivore for 12 months, 70 lbs down, best I've ever felt in my life, run labs every 3 months(just wanted to track it) - labs are great and my doc says labs are GREAT!!! and no more meds - after 4 heart meds - but I guess I'm not an 'expert' so I'm just too stupid to know anything compared to a doctor who studied one hour of university dietary guidelines in school. we're all still learning and we should listen to results - BP this morning 104/70 HR 66
I remember checking for fat and saturated fat for decades, but don't forget the corporations were behind the disastrous food pyramid. Too bad the government officials lacked the balls or spine at that time to stand up. They knew all that stuff was questionable.
@@jKLa define "lots of meat". Okinawan people eat nearly 500g of meat per day and there you have em, among the highest longevity in the world. Btw, it's really hard to eat 500g of meat per day.
@bastianfuentes8335 first of all Okinawans do NOT eat anything like that and never did, -where the heck did you read or hear that myth? However most of the worlds longest living people actually eat a relitively low meat but also relitively low to moderate carb and high fiber diet with little to no highly processed foods or seed oils. There are exceptions, -peoples genetics vary and many different things go into good health.
@bastianfuentes8335 also Okinawans traditionally ate only 3 grams of meat per day (far less then average) but lots of tofu fermented foods and vegetables and very little suger or grains. Now they eat mostly similar to other Japanese. That 500g meat a day thing is completely made up nonsense and would be physically impossible anyway!
@@lindymerry38 It's a reasonable question. Carnivore humans tend to have high APO B levels. Apo B levels are used to determine the risk of developing cardiovascular, and are considered to be one of the best markers.
2 years of high fat ketogenic carnivore. I started this because of Harvards Chris Palmer who uses ketosis to treat serious mental health issues. I had treatment resistant schizophrenia. It took 2 weeks to see the effect, and I was in complete remission in 1 month. All mental health issues are resolved; bulimia, anxiety, daily panic attacks, dermatillomania, psychothic episodes, paranoid schizophrenia, depression, suicidality. On top of that, arthritis reversed. Endless energy, I eat twice a day, libido through the roof, high test. Highly suggest. From nearly killing myself to regaining my life back. Just got into my dream university and studies are going well. :)
Absolutely on point regarding the mental issues! For anyone who'd like to look deeper into this, Dr. Georgia Ede released her book earlier in the year ("Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind"). She is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist specializing in nutritional and metabolic psychiatry (I didn't even know there was such a field until now). 🤷♂️ You can also find some of her interviews on here as well. I can't recommend her enough! You can 100% heal your mental anguish once and for all. 👌😊✌️
I started questioning everything, especially advice from government health organizations after reading Health and Beauty Mastery by Julian Bannett, this book exposes so many shocking truths about the health industry.
I’m carnivore now for nearly 4 months. Huge weight loss, more energy, diabetes gone, not even pre diabetic. Feet swelling almost gone, better eye sight even kidney disease gone and urine is clear now. Plus I’m barely ever hungry, I only eat twice a day.
Exactly my results as well almost 2 years now lost 50 pounds and have not had a swollen painfull knee or ankle since I started in April of 2023. used to be nearly crippled or on crutches almost like clockwork every couple months for 15 years and then all of a sudden, it's all gone. I can kneel down again and work on my knees again, the government must want to keep us sick.
Carnivore 13 months. I was diagnosed with MCAS (Mast Cell) , it has been a life changer for me, I no longer have bone pain (except when I slip some days), my swelling has gone down 80% and I started looking younger within weeks. I haven't felt this good and with energy in 5 years. Its been great for me...
At 76, I lost my stubborn thyroid-t3 deficiency-induced gut, by going OMAD carnivore. My strength is coming back. I'm feeling younger daily. I went Keto at age 69, and I lost all my old-age symptoms.
I'm so glad you posted about thyroid health because I've been hoping to find it will also be to my benefit , This will make eight meds I can come off of 😊
Fortunately I live in Britain..the perfect grass-growing climate for rearing Sheep and Cattle, but "Inexpensive Cow" does depend on where on this planet your village happens to be. So meat of any kind may be a very rare treat for many. Hence the human need to grow lots of plant protein sources like Lentils...not to prove some moral or religious point...but out of necessity. And a bit of Kale goes quite well with a Steak!
@@angieobes9835 It has to be cooked just enough, but it is rich in Vitamins A, E and K. And these are "bio available" if you have a reasonably healthy colon. I certainly wouldn't fear the occasional consumption of it. But if it aggravates...avoid...as with anything...and we're all different.
its not only the absence of the sugar addiction that provides the calm,. It's replacing something very unhealthy (high sugar.carbs), with very nourishing food that heals and calms the body and mind.
Really this channel is one of the most reliable, calm, sensible one regarding diets. No preaching, just facts presented as if the viewer has a brain. Much appreciated!
Carnivore is the way my husband and I have eaten for 6 years. There are way too many benefits to mention. Needless to say. We are 200 percent more healthy.
Yeah, lol! You aren't gonna believe it when you learn that the FDA has been telling us to eat lean, when actually, we're supposed to be eating high fat! And it's really hilarious that they've been having us eat an unhealthy diet, slowly killing us with chronic illnesses. Allowing poisons to be added to highly processed foods, then give us pills to help the symptoms of pills were already taking... till we die! The younger the patient, the longer they will be able to milk him or her of any wealth they might have. And isn't it funny that nobody will notice that they're being poisoned to death by the FDA. FOOD will make you sick, and then the Drugs will be given to "help." Rather than having type1 patients eat the proper diet and need less drugs, they fuel them to eat as much of the poison as they want. Here's an antidote called insulin! Which causes SO many issues, too. It is absolutely maddening to see everyone wobbling around clueless that they are a victim of the FDA. OBESITY doesn't cause chronic issues, like they try and have you believe. It IS one of the chronic issues caused by the atrocious diet they recommend. You don't have to lose weight to get healthy. You must get healthy... to lose weight. I feel 35 years younger after doing keto. Reversed type 2,high blood pressure, and lost 82 lbs in a year and have kept it off for another year. I suggest everyone keep an open mind, because a lot of things they've told is were just plain WRONG. I mean... how many wolves do you know that go and pick apples off a tree or go eat some watermelon and sweet potatoes, instead of eating their kill? I'd say never. But even the dog food makers are lying to us, digesting food that is also causing Veronica illnesses in them too! Plus the 40-eleven vaccines they have to have, even though the diseases are NOT even prevalent. Just another way of milking us out of eventing!.
Musk is fake, he's dumb, and he's an actor telling people what they want to hear. Most of these comments are by bots. Eating meat is disgusting and stupid.
Exactly. They were just expressing their opinions. I think the point was that because Joe Rogan has a. platform and is rich, and because Elon Musk is rich, other people assume, or may assume, they know more than they actually do, and That is the danger.
@@deborahmichele Agreed, and this applies to the way most people assume that doctors have any training or important knowledge whatsoever about nutrition (the most powerful contributing factor to health or the lack thereof) when almost all of them simply do not. Or the way people actually assume that Hollywood actors and mainstream journalists know anything at all about anything at all.. when really they're just soulless sold out shills or truly ignorant fools regurgitating the lies of other sold out soulless shills. Sadly there will always be a massive percentile of humanity that is shamefully gullible, easily influenced and inevitably mislead. At the end of the day it's on each and every one of us to do our own research and due diligence.
I MEASURED MY RESULTS: I lost 73 pounds, got off 7 medications I had been on for 20+ years and have had the best blood test results of my life after being on a Keto diet for 2 years and 11 months….and counting.
He might not be an expert on the subject, but it's nice to see them talk about a diet that could help people. Specifically, people with autoimmune diseases or diabetes/pre-diabeties. Carnivore changed my life.
@anir8023 Not what i thought was an unhealthy diet but not much red meat. Rice, chicken, vegs, fruits, eggs, bread, oat meal, yogurt, pizza and occasional pancakes. I did a vegan diet before but had major stomach issues. This is the best I've felt on a diet. Keto was a close second. But I still had issues with fruit and vegs.
@@anir8023 Same with me. And I had skin issues my whole life until finally I discovered , via the elimination diet, that I am salicylate sensitive. Cutting them out helped, which meant nearly all fruit and veg. Cutting them all put made the huge difference. I already ate "well." No junk, not much grains. No alcohol. No regular coffee. Decaf is my last plant food and that's going to go, too.
Started Keto Feb 2017 and had to stop metformin 3 days in. My bg levels were dropping as low as the 40s. Transitioned to carnivore a year ago. So grateful to have found the low carb way to great health.
That explains the ‘you were never vegan’ comment I got when I said I was vegan for 5 years but got sicker and sicker until I found carnivore. I’m now totally healthy again and am back to my youthful weight and energy levels. I gave vegan everything I had for 5 years. I think that’s enough to tell.
I agree they need to change the curriculum. However, my MD retired and the new young doctor is still focusing on total cholesterol and ldl levels, not trigs and hdl, so they still seem to be teaching the same lies in doctor school. There was a time when the germ theory was poo-poo'd and the doctor who advocated hand washing was thought to be ridiculous even though his patients did better and fewer died. Now both of those things are accepted and hand washing is the norm. It takes time to turn the ship, unfortunately. As my retired doctor once said, "In the medical community, if you are not up on it, you are down on it." Truer words have never been spoken.
I got a CGM couple of weeks ago and have learned that I have my mother’s diabetes gene 🧬. Basically if I eat grains, potatoes, rice my glucose goes up like a hockey stick 🏒 and stays elevated for a while. Good news is I don’t have to wait 25 years till a doctor informs me like my mother.
The average 65 year old is on 7 medications?! 😮 I had no idea it was that bad. I'm 66 and on zero medications. No wonder when a doctor's office asks for my medication list they don't believe me. The most recent was to make an appointment for a physical. After telling the receptionist I'm on no medications, she asked if I take an aspirin a day. Nope. It was as if she wanted me to be on something. 😂
I was surprised at that statement too. I'm not on any prescription drugs either. From what I'm am understanding from all the videos I've been watching and my personal experience, it seems that the medical profession's first action is to prescribe drugs. My GP immediately wanted to prescribe metformin and statin when I was diagnosed with diabetes (borderline) and change diet and I said no, I'll try diet; and said if you change more than one thing you won't know what has caused any change. When I saw her after the follow up blood test and my diabetes was remitted, I said I hope in future you suggest diet before drugs in the future. Had to stop my blood pressure tablet after going low carb. Did it gradually. I was taking a very small dose and then realised that I was feeling fatigued which felt different to not getting enough sleep. Checked BP and it was getting too low. I've also so no thanks to statin which was recommended by a cardiologist even after getting a zero CAC with contrast. My trigs have gone down, HDL gone up and I'm now metabolically healthy. But the worrying factors for the medical profession are that my dad died of a heart attack at 54 in the late 1970s, and my LDL has gone up after going low carb.
3 years of keto of the Westman variety. First 18 months followed the prescription strength eating plan. I am 5 foot tall. I have gone from 185 lbs to 127 now. It’s the only way of eating where I lost the weight. More importantly my A1C has gone from 6.2 to 4.8, my tryglicerides have gone from 90 to 55, my HDL has gone from 50 to 85. These data seem to indicate that my metabolic health is very good. I am 65 and just started taking blood pressure medication. My energy is good, I sleep well. I feel good for the most part. My skin tags have vanished and the 2 age spots on my face have mostly faded. So all these results I attribute to cutting carbs, although I eat some on rare occasions. And I make low carb treats and eat them these days.
The problem with the meat haters is they don’t just want to not eat animal products, they want to insist that you follow their rules as well. Go eat your sprouts and leaves and leave us alone!
Joe Rogan is a bodybuilder. If you watched him, ever, you would know he knows about nutrition. You don't have to be a doctor to know about nitrition. Also, he SAID that they are overloaded "with carbs."
After eight months on keto/carmivore I’m healthier, stronger, sleep better and keep increasing my strength training. Positive changes are occurring over time so I’ll keep going.
Elon is correct in regards to animals and their influence on carbon in the atmosphere. 100% correct. Yes, animals emit carbon in the form of CO2, CH4, meat and manure, but every single carbon atom was taken up by a plant. This cycle is in balance. You cannot emit carbon, if an equally big uptake hasn't happened via photosynthesis in a plant. The biogenic carbon cycle is climate neutral. It does NOT contribute to more carbon in the atmosphere. To state it in another way: Nature cannot spend carbon it hasn't earned. The emissions and uptake is part of climate, but fluctuations in the biogenic carbon cycle has very little effect on CO2 concentrations. Remember, that it took Nature MILLIONS of years to lower CO2 from 1800ppm 200 million years ago, to roughly 400ppm shortly before the meteor 65 mio years ago. It took Nature 10 million years to lower it from 400ppm to the 280ppm jus before the start of indistrialization. A cow cannot belch carbon (or grow, poop, exhale), without a plant supplying the carbon, and every single carbon atom was drawn from the atmosphere very recently. True, if we killed every cow on the planet, there would be less methane, but how much, REALLY? Since methane converts in roughly 12 years, you can calculate the effect in terms of CO2e. How much less methane we would have. An adult cow emits about 100kg of methane a year. 1.2 billion cows emit 120 mio tons. So, 12 years of methane is 1.44 billion tons of methane. In CO2e, that is 40 billion tons of CO2e. IOW, killing every cow on the planet, and never breed cows again, would have the same effect as not emitting ANY fossil fuel for a bit more than 13 months. Extremely drastic, with very little effect. We've seen some fairly drastic mass extinction events in buffalos and wilderbeest. None of them left even the smallest dent in the curves om atmospheric methane.
I’ve been carnivore for 2 weeks. Within the first week, my depression was gone, my ADHD is 90% better, and I’ve lost 10lbs of fat. I can’t wait to see what I’ll be like at Day 90
Good scientific approach for critical thinking Eric and good point about the psychology of 'addiction'. As a nutrition health professional, I look at why an adopted diet would be so beneficial.... Maybe consider the diet that was stopped... How bad was it? Look at nutrition relative to lifestyle; quality food will give you vitality. Also examine how nutrients are measured, recommended and pay attention to stakeholders and corporate agendas. When you study nutrition you become aware that 'listening' to your body and how it performs will guide you in shaping your lifestyle. I believe a good Health professional encourages critical thinking in order to arrive at better choices. All seminars I have given are based around questioning and listening and minimal attention is needed to giving dietary recommendations. I come across many people who claim optimal diet adherence simply because the diet has shaped their lifestyle; I would ask, what diet will be shaped to achieve your optimum lifestyle.
Carnivore is not extreme. Eating crops to any significant degree is extreme. The appropriate diet for humans is meat fat from animals and almost nothing else
Like saying, you should use multiple fuels for your car instead of just regular petrol. Nothing extreme about that. My ancestors ate primarily meat and fat for 4 million years. Carbs are survival food when nothing else is available.
@@merlingeikie Agreed. I'm realizing more and more with time on my health journey that good health comes down to good mitochondrial function and maintaining skeletal muscle.
I love Bella, Steak and Butter Gal, and have learned a great deal from her. She is highly intelligent and an excellent teacher as well as a superb Juilliard trained pianist. I started with your diet, Dr. Westmen, years ago but could not sustain my weight in maintenance. I spent about 2 years in Keto/low carb but again, weight gain and excess belly fat plagued me. I have been strict carnivore for 11 months, beast mode, no dairy except butter, for about 4 months and have had massive improvements in my health at 77 years of age, including losing belly fat finally. Stamina, strength, excellent sleep, the benefits go on and on. I will never go back to eating plants! I encourage you and your subscribers to research the carnivore movement because each doctor and practitioner has different ideas to offer but taken together, as well as doing one’s own research for particular and specific health issues can be life changing. I know it has changed mine and I am deeply grateful.
What is beast mode? I keep trying to do high fat carnivore but it gives me digestion problems. I added some carbs but no oxalates and my digestion is much improved.
Just stop adding starches to your diet and drop anything with seed oils. Say goodbye to bakery products, crackers, chips, rice, pasta, foods that are breaded or coated with seed oil. This is how bad it is. Dried cranberries with no added sugar should be a great addition. But no, the producer coats the dried berries in seed oil. That's crazy.
elon musk is a moron who had the right people around him... until he fired them. I would take anything he says with a grain of salt. With that said no way elon musk is on carnivore. His fat @$$ show's blatant signs of a high sugar diet, in fact the man had planned to open up a candy store.

Dr Westman supports the consumption of plant food as he is a keto advocate. The truth is that humans require no plant food whatsoever. Humans were scavengers in current and pre human form. We relied on meat and fat for energy. We only ever ate plants during very lean times and unsuccessful hunts. For 2.6 mill years during the ice age plant food was very hard to find, which is why we relied on meat and fat from animals. Dr Westman is an advocate for keto, but eating a carnivore diet, never means you need to worry about staying in ketosis because most of the time you are in ketosis, at least it's been that way for me. Even with consuming dairy a couple of times during the week.
I've been on carnivore/ketovore diet for 11 months and it relieved my gut issues to a great extent, however,I get cramps and diarrhea at times and I have a suspicion it might be caused by pasteurised milk and heavy cream that I use in my coffee. I also suffer from insomnia and recently heard it might be due to insulin suppression and therefore not producing enough serotonin and melatonin for better sleep.I understood that I needed to increase my carb intake.I have tried that and definitely noticed an improvement, where I slept straight through the night 4x in a row after having blueberries with yoghurt and honey a while before bed time. Being on strict carnivore the first 3 months, the inflammation in my back and other joints improved drastically.I've never been overweight, but I lost a lot of weight in the last 11 months.I'm trying now to eat 3 high fat and protein meals a day, adding carbs like honey and blueberries to maintain my weight. My gut cannot tolerate most vegetable and fruit fibre. What are your thoughts on the carnivore diet and insomnia? I'm 68 and have great energy and am on no medication. I want to benefit from ketones, but not sure how the amount of carbs I eat will influence ketosis.
Inappropriate to characterize people as not experts when they are (correctly) characterizing their own experience on the diet. That is where all science starts, with proper first level data gathering. I gather Dr. W. Is going that direction with the car driver analogy...
I totally agree that we/people should separate out the nutrition concerns from all the other political ideologies that for some reason (NO reason, really), are being lumped in with it. There is some level of interconnection between nutrition and the environment, but just because I eat meat, it doesn't mean I hold with a particular political ideology. Thank you, Dr. Westman, for always being calm, measured, and logical!.

The nutritionist that I saw told me i was going to die from the carnivore lifestyle. I told her I was dying doing it this way. Then her answer was I can put you on Ozempic. I told her no thanks, and I left her office.
I went full time Carnivore back in sept, and damn what a diffrence in health, strenght and bloatness. Inflammation just left the body completely. All bloat from stomach went away, bleeding gums was no more when flossing. Did a bunch of new personal best results in the gym. I went on carnivore with intermittent fasting. Normally I start eating around 1300 and end around 1800. Pack of bacon, 8 eggs, 50gr parmesan and some serrano and raw mil for first meal, and huge steak and butter for dinner with fam. In total around 140 gr fat and 150 gr protein per day. 500 gr meat per day, mostly red.
If you fly over the U.S., you can really see how empty most of it is. So add a few cows - much fewer than people! - and thinking the farts of a few sparse areas of farm animals are going to affect the climate of a giant planet is absolutely ridiculous.
I listened to my doctor's advice for 13 years and he almost killed me with medicines I didn't need. Just so he could line his pockets it's easier to sit back and judge other people that do things differently Dr but the only thing I ever got from mine was illness. I have been doing carnivore for one year I have lost 120 lbs gotten off of 10 meds that my so-called doctor had me on. I no longer take his advice I no longer take any of the medications except a little bit for my diabetes that I am reversing I went from 230 units of insulin per night down to 15 at the moment and hopefully within the next year I will be completely off of any medication I would listen to any one of these people before I would listen to a doctor again and that includes you you say you debunk who died and made you King who says we should believe anything you say prove it otherwise.

"Experts" have had us eating for profit for decades. Experience/testimonials on how people feel (better/worse) look is what a study is. Add in the biochemistry of what our bodies actually need for fuel & the symptoms of that going wrong, like obesity, skin problems & many chronic diseases... i prefer to believe what i see & experience over "expert advise" these days.
My keto killer is the month of December. The high prevalence of chocolate and cakes and cookies left in my place during Christmas defeats me always. I don't know what to do.
Sometimes, you can blame the person for a diet failure. Studies have shown people are terrible at estimating food intake unless they record it, and even then, without a third party verifying them, then they are likely to make mistakes. I tell people that if they haven't recorded every single thing that enters their mouth for at least 2 weeks, then they haven't given a new diet strategy a fair test run. And then, a month is a better test.
I heard of Atkins when I was 14 so 23 years ago and I stopped eating bread, pasta and potatoes. I didn’t realise I needed to eat more fat to get rid of the sugar addiction and ended up eating a lot of fruit. For me the fat is really important for me to be satiated otherwise I crave the carbs.
The entire Esselstyn family is in great shape, especially Essy and Ann, 90 years old. They are vegetarians, so strong and fit. Maybe people can survive and thrive on any diet as long as they stay away from processed foods and keep carbs lowish.
So, they are vegetarians and not vegans? Do vegetarians eat eggs? Cheese? Any dairy products at all? What is the difference ? - I’ve never understood it. Someone told me once that Esselstyn’s recommended heart disease diet allows ZERO oil or fat. ZERO. So that would preclude the use of seed oils as well. Maybe that’s part of the equation.
I had a job where I wrote software that was primarily used to help an older gentleman who was afraid of working with computers. Whenever he made a mistake, I never thought it appropriate to chastise him and tell him to change what he was doing, I simply changed his software to prevent him from making the same mistake later. The point is that most of the time, we can't blame people for not following guidelines, but we need to adjust the guidelines so that someone can follow them and still achieve the same goal. Low-fat diets may allow someone to lose weight, but for most people, is completely unsustainable. So instead of blaming someone for doing something perfectly natural, it's better to find a diet or lifestyle that is doable. I was blown away by how simple and sustainable, carnivore was and have stuck with it for almost two years, now. This even though just about everyone in my family is strongly opposed to it Bottom line is if vegan or low-fat isn't working, or if you find you keep falling off the wagon, give carnivore a try.
I have dairy and wheat intolerances. The carnivore diet has helped alleviate or completely remove over a dozen symptoms, some very serious, in a matter of days.
Im carnivore for a month now because of multiple medical issues. Within a week, mentally, i feel so calm...no more road rage when driving, I'm 50 with a period that for the last 10 years has been insane but within week 1, my period showed up on time and for the forst time was NORMAL! i sleep better, my blood augar no longer has wide crazy swings, 3 weeks in my joints no longer hurt in the morning, no more migraines. I see my doctor January to find out if i can get off my blood pressure meds and my metformin. Im angry that doctors have no clue about how simply eating carnivore is HELPING my body.
That's great. Have you taken measurements? I was surprised at how my waist measurement went down. In the end I lost 25% of my weight and went from a 44" waist to 36". Thankfully I was able to take in some of my clothes but I had lots that I had to get rid of and managed to get some second hand. Just before I had started low carb I had bought new underpants. It wasn't very long before they were too big and I had to get new ones.
The Great Plant Based Con outlines not only the Keto/Carnivore diet but how regenerative agriculture is needed to save the quality of our top soil. Climate change is also addressed and suggests the impact of animals/agriculture are overly emphasized. Listening to influencers and and celebrity/famous people is not optimal as they generally have not done their research (although Rogan has some knowledge of Keto). Dr. Berry was talking about this about a year ago but that narrative now seems muted.
I appreciate the anaIysis of an interactive conversation. I have no way of knowing how much research either man has done, but I do agree with EIon's points which are in aIignment with scientists not pushing a poIiticaI agenda.
Looks like here in my city 🇦🇺 they’re adding Bovaer 10 to cows’ feed lot to cut down on methane emissions. No more meat from big supermarkets if this is the case. Anyone know for sure?
Elon wasn’t a rocket scientist or a car manufacturer or a tunnel digger or a brain implant expert, etc… You’d be a fool to not pay attention or casually disregard this guy.
I tried to do the carnivore diet but it hasn't worked for me. My body gets really stressed when getting energy from meat and fat. It makes it so I can't get refreshing sleep and my body aches and it made my a1c go through the roof. Good luck to all those who do get benefit but its not been a panacea for me.
Don't forget that the majority of uneaten food in the world is rotting produce by a large percentage. Also cows heal the soil, while mono cropping uses oil based fertilizers that are a finite resource.
Been on Carnivore for over a year and I FEEL GREAT, more muscle, better sleep snd much less anxiety. I don’t care what other people say, especially the mainstream medical community 😊
There are two types of nutritional experts. Those who learn from textbooks and paid off recommendations, then those who experiment and listen to their bodies. I know which one I trust.

Here's another thought 🤔🤔🤔 What do animals eat as babies? Breast milk. What is the primary nutrition of breast milk? Fat and protein that are full of the vital nutrients for the body. Google the health problems of animals that don't feed on mother's milk and yes that goes for people also 🤔🤔🤔!!!
I'm 65 and have been lifting weights since I was 19. I was never fat (overweight). I started lifting because at 19, I weighed 155 pounds. I have never seen a health vegan/vegetarian in the gym in 46 years. Actually, they looked like my father when he got out of Flossenburg concentration camp in 1945. Ever see a muscular runner. I ran track in high school because I wasnt fat and ran fast, but I wanted to be muscular because women actually prefer men with muscles.
Being a Carnivore for 6 months now I believe meat-based diets are a lot friendlier to the planet. For a start your poop reduces to a third as your body absorbs most of its nutrients, and animals require a much more natural habitat without destroying topsoil and spraying huge amounts of toxic chemicals. Imagine the saving in closing down much of the chemical industries and going back to sustainable grass/tree-based landscapes.
Hunter gatherers ate meat but they also ate fruit in season, and tubers and greens and nuts. What they didn't eat was grains. They weren't vegan but nor were they carnivore!
Recent studies of fossil remains of our ancestors dating to a time period of the last 4 million or so years of human evolution indicate, via radioactive stable isotope testing of bones of our ancestors, that or ancestors ate a diet made up of 80% fat and protein, making them by definition, hyper carnivores. They did eat in season carbs, but not to the point they were not carnivorous.
@@lindymerry38 Thanks for posting this, I see my comment I made yesterday about stable isotope testing showing humans to be hyper carnivores for 4 million years mysteriously vanished. Hopefully your comment remains up.
@@EricAnimeFreak that is one perspective but there is significant disagreement on to what extent humans may have once been mostly meat eating. Our teeth are the teeth of meat and plant eating omnivores however, -we don't have true carnivore teeth. I think that's pretty strong evidence right there! Also, 4 million years was before modern humans even evolved fully to our current physical form.
Pottenger's Cat study applied to Humans explains everything. We are both Carnivores, though our digestive system enables us to extract nutrients from cooked foods, where there's can't.
Of course domestic meat production to feed this burgeoning human population crisis is affecting Earth's environment...radically! But wasn't this same precious planet of ours once absolutely teeming with large ruminant herbivores like Buffalo, Eurasian Bison, Wildebeest, Wild Sheep and Goats etc? Surely they had a similar effect on GHG emissions? It's the scary impact of humanity on overall biodiversity-loss that is the biggest emergency.
Yeah but if there is more cows, then they might sell manure to farms or even use sustainable field rotations, and big oil needs to sell their oil based fertilizers to mono cropping industry for large profits. And everyone knows that produce grown with oil based fertilizers and sprayed with harsh chemical insecticides are way healthier for the environment right? Bio diversity in the soil is obviously a myth perpetuated by natural fertilizer companies to lower and force big oil out of the industry. I had fun writing this, wink wink.

2 years of high fat ketogenic carnivore. I started this because of Harvards Chris Palmer who uses ketosis to treat serious mental health issues. I had treatment resistant schizophrenia. You can feed a village with inexpensive cow, not so much with kale.
Fortunately I live in Britain..the perfect grass-growing climate for rearing Sheep and Cattle, but "Inexpensive Cow" does depend on where on this planet your village happens to be.

What u were eating before carnivore ? High seed oils ?

I certainly hope md’s are retrained from the untruths they have been taught. That certainly has to change ❤
That's great. Nipping it in the bud is the best way.
The average 65 year old is on 7 medications?! 😮
I had no idea it was that bad.

Plus Allan Savory has shown that regeneratively farmed livestock can reverse desertification, which is a HUGE driver of climate change.
Well said

I want to benefit from ketones, but not sure how the amount of carbs I eat will influence ketosis.
I think I have the same problem as you. I'm 75 and no meds, although I was not on meds before carnivore either.
Perhaps this video will help ua-cam.com/video/qNjzTwZUE14/v-deo.html or the information/theories in the comments section.
Putting Elon on a UA-cam thumbnail is the surest way to get clicks. Using Joe Rogan works pretty well, too.
Both of them are part of system
They didn't say they were actually full carnivore though. Keto diet isn't necessarily carnivore.
Your statement seems to imply that the thumbnail is clickbait. If so, I wholeheartedly disagree. Joe and Elon are 2 key focal points in the video.
@ajbfwb I didn't imply anything, I merely stated a fact.
Yeah, it's truly puzzling. The same with the orange grifter in chief.
How can a simple cow fart (inches from the ground) compare to a jet flying through the fragile stratosphere?
There is much more to it than that. Read something.
Cows belch, not fart.
Less than 40,000 jets... compared to 1.5 billion cows.
@@marcuscooper9544 Which side is that suppose to support? Unless farting cows continually shot around like a kid's untied balloon, your numbers are less meaningful than a fresh cow cookie.
How many cows…how many jets….this isn’t difficult
Excellent review, Dr. Westman. Thanks! ❤
Love your channel ❤❤❤
If you fly over the U.S., you can really see how empty most of it is. So add a few cows - much fewer than people! - and thinking the farts of a few sparse areas of farm animals are going to affect the climate of a giant planet is absolutely ridiculous.
The earth is flat right?
It's rather your brain
Well done. I bet you are feeling a lot better these days.
Are you addressing Dr Westman? He has made a lot of videos about the carnivore diet. He is clearly interested in it & cautiously in favour of it.
Awesome, big congrats!
The brain needs cholesterol to function. Since we've been eating low fat, low cholesterol, there has been an increase in Alzheimer's and dementia.
Down with the oligarchy
What an amazing video with great people!! Thanks for sharing the opinions of these people about carnivore!! I'm 72 and been carnivore just over 3 years and have seen AMAZING health benefits!! I just hope and pray that more people will listen and just give it a try, especially if they have ANY health issues!! I feel better than I have in over 25 years!! Thanks again, Dr. Westman!!
Judging by Elon's physique these days, it's pretty obvious he's not personally on a carnivore diet. I do agree with him though.
Exactly. He's on a destroy democracy to enrich himself diet. Fat boy that he is.
The major problem is processed and ultra processed food
@@seaglass3594 My mistake...I'm sure they do not eat eggs or cheese or any animal product.
Exactly good point. Beer and pasta is vegan but its still junkfood.
@@barbaramartinettigoogle vegetarian types hopefully you will learn the different types of vegetarians.
The vegan diet lacks essential nutrients. Once the body's nutrient stores are depleted, a vegan will have health problems.
This even though just about everyone in my family is strongly opposed to it
Bottom line is if vegan or low-fat isn't working, or if you find you keep falling off the wagon, give carnivore a try.
I have dairy and wheat intolerances. The carnivore diet has helped alleviate or completely remove over a dozen symptoms, some very serious, in a matter of days.
I’m a 75year old, no drugs, very active carnivore. Thanks for a good video!
Do you think it might be pesticides?
@@susanclen No, it's carbohydrates, plant toxins, & fibre. Pesticides are synthetic versions of natural plant defense chemicals.
Thank you for this information.
Day 177 for me of low carb my weight is down by just over 20 kilos got to call that a success
It wasn't very long before they were too big and I had to get new ones.
good information, thank you
The Great Plant Based Con outlines not only the Keto/Carnivore diet but how regenerative agriculture is needed to save the quality of our top soil.
I am carnivore and will continue to be. I sometimes do add a carb but that is rare. I eat to live; not, live to eat.
Looks like here in my city 🇦🇺 they’re adding Bovaer 10 to cows’ feed lot to cut down on methane emissions. No more meat from big supermarkets if this is the case. Anyone know for sure?
Thank you, Dr Westman.
Elon wasn’t a rocket scientist or a car manufacturer or a tunnel digger or a brain implant expert, etc…
You’d be a fool to not pay attention or casually disregard this guy.
Your first sentence makes no sense.
No thanks
I tried to do the carnivore diet but it hasn't worked for me. My body gets really stressed when getting energy from meat and fat. It makes it so I can't get refreshing sleep and my body aches and it made my a1c go through the roof. Good luck to all those who do get benefit but its not been a panacea for me.
What's the climate difference if a bovine farts or if people fart? Vegetables and grains are gas generators!
This is an important topic.
Cattle burp methane a lot too
@@donaldobrien9171 Do they at least say excuse me?
I hardly have any wind these days so you make a good point.
I'm not a fan of snb gal. Why get so excited that Musk eats steak and eggs 🙄
He is also a drug addict.
I thought it was cute. It's a million times better than cereal/toast/pancakes.
There are two types of nutritional experts. Those who learn from textbooks and paid off recommendations, then those who experiment and listen to their bodies. I know which one I trust.
It does not matter what Musk thinks about food and diet. The usual American tendency of being hypnotized by celebrity.
Not just celebrity - wealth and confidence... it seems like half the planet are just desperate for someone or something more powerful than them, to tell them what to think and what to do.

@@lindymerry38 I agree. I appreciate an interactive conversation between two inteIIigent men.
Thank you Dr. Westman! I’m following your advice…Thank you, Sir🎉
While we all like to see high profile people that we respect touting the same opinion as our own, it was pretty cringy watching Bella and her friend hanging on nearly every word spoken by Joe and Elon, as if they were schoolgirls seeing Elvis for the first time. I kept expecting them to hug each other and squeal at every moment.
Recent study proved gain in muscle mass was equal in resistance training individuals whether the source of protein was vegan or animal based.
in '92 the food pyramid came out. It was an international stimulus package. Poor countries eat high carb diets. poor people- poor in health; rife with fat and heart disease and breathing problems.
Your just don't know they were vegetarian. Massive assumption on your part. Google it.
That's the kind of world I dream about.
The "science" sucks. Should be called the "$cience".
Great video. Love keto. Thanks.
You are so welcome!
They did eat in season carbs, but not to the point they were not carnivorous.
ua-cam.com/video/qn5zdWucv6I/v-deo.html
@@EricAnimeFreak sorry about the comment disappearing though. It's happened a lot to me as well and it's really maddening at times!
Thank you
I love 💕 Elon Musk in general
However- to each their own !
Never argue with success & let the results & health tests & the real science speak for itself ..
I personally - am veering towards keto/ carnivore to try it at least..
Def drop the processed foods , eat whole natural foods - & less carbs / drop sugars etc 👏

elon musk is a moron who had the right people around him... until he fired them. I would take anything he says with a grain of salt.
With that said no way elon musk is on carnivore. His fat @$$ show's blatant signs of a high sugar diet, in fact the man had planned to open up a candy store.
I have been keto and then carnivore a bit but then tried adding rice and fruit it’s like day and night in terms of energy and sleep quality, I was sleeping so bad on carnivore .
