Such a boss! It never occurred to me to even attempt a parry on a Boss Boko's boulder... It was too scary! haha Now, can you Fuse the boulder hurdling at you to a piece of equipment a split second before it hits you?? 🤔 hmm
With the boss bokoblin, It depends on what type you target. It has to be a patrol group (ie, the ones that are constantly marching around in a line, with the boss at the front, parading the troop). There's a bridge in Zora's Domain where you can do this quite effectively.
For the boss bokoblin myth where the bokoblins cry, you have to be undetected for it to work. Throw on the Bokoblin Mask or try shooting the Ancient Arrow from a distance and watch the tears flow.
Ik it’s just a reused yawning animation but the context makes it work really well as a crying animation, very smart for the devs to just intelligently reuse animations so well
The ancient blade not vaporizing Link makes sense: it sends standard enemies into oblivion, but bosses only take an extra 50 damage (as shown by the Ancient Blade's fuse attack power). This confirms that Link is on the same level as a BOSS (which is understandable, considering he could defeat adults when he was a kid and once parried a Guardian laser beam with a fricking pot lid).
I wouldnt consider the Gloom Damage Avoid a myth, since fusing a Weapon to another one only increases Damage and Size, the Extra-Abilities these weapons have wont be transfered, meaning you cannot expect to have a Knights Sword and a Royal Sword fused together to deal more damage in Flurry Rushes and also have a damage boost when you are going to die. The Gloom Sword's special Ability is Gloom Damage per 1 or 2 hits. And this Effect also gets nullified when fusing it on a Weapon
The boss boko dying and getting the other bokos to cry is real. You have to kill the boss boko without the other bokos seeing you do it, like from a distance. It will work ive seen it myself.

Try fusing rito sword to boomerang. 😅 my switch is broke so I can't try this lol (added on) I'm not positive it will work but the rito sword does automatically have the wind gust ability which works great with ice elemental attack it will make frozen enemies slide away from you.
9:42 You’d figure that would work too considering the fact that throwing/shooting dazzlefruits at them has an effect. There’s gotta be some item or device (besides ancient arrows) that’s more inconspicuous (as in one which nobody would likely think of using at first) which could just one-shot them. I just thought of something right now, Wily. As I contemplated this question, my mind went back to the footage earlier in the video showing a player attaching a sundelion to an arrow to use against the Gloom Hands(GH), which makes total logical sense. Then I remembered that along with the weapons, GH and PG will often drop Dark Clumps when they’re defeated (or if you just hide/get to higher ground and stay there long enough for them to get bored they’ll just disappear, but then you don’t get any weapons either, but I digress). Anyhoo, my impromptu theory is as follows: Enemies made entirely out of Gloom drop the clumps, and we’re told that they’re useful for making meals or elixirs, which will counter the effects of Gloom. So, this got me thinking, what if instead of using it along with other things you were to just cut out the middleman, and instead of cooking and consuming them, you were to simply attach a clump to an arrow and shoot it right at the source? Would it also have a Gloom-countering effect? (I feel like throwing it probably wouldn’t be very effective for some reason. I reckon that it’d need some force behind it if it is going to work at all.) PS- Also, sorry if this idea was already brought up previously. Not sure if I’m 100% up to date on all of the videos in this series atm.
Myth: 3:28 it also works if you just attack it with a normal sword if you are in the Yiga Outfit Second myth: 10:51 They will only start crying if you aren‘t close to them / if they don‘t see you.
i know you don't actually think simple *light* has any effect on gloom hands. some of them literally spawn on the surface, if daylight harmed them they would just instantly die. i want to know if light _dragon parts_ have any effect, the way zelda's light powers counter ganon's gloom powers.
@@dietotaku I never said anything about doing damage, but it could work on them in much the same way that dazzle fruit does. Since that is basically how it functions with other enemies.
Not a myth but remember the Stone Talus on the Great Plateau in BOTW? Well going back to its location shows it’s now a Battle Talus. Implying the local Boko population settled on it. That’s just cute!
I already tested this one so I know whether or not it works. But I still think you should try it anyway - if you fuse an eighthfold longblade to a boomerang will it create wind slashes when you throw it?
They aren’t switching elements, it’s a different shift of Lizalfos. You can kill the Fire-breath ones in the day and watch the Ice-breath ones come up in the evening after 7pm or so and then kill those too (or the other way around). Still awesome to see happen
Expanding on disarming the Yiga banana trap - If you do it in full Yiga attire, then you can smack the bananas with a melee attack to move them away. Once they've been moved a certain (but small) distance, you can pick them up. You can also do it if you light them on fire but don't give them enough time to cook, for some reason. This is my nomination for "Worst Possible Banana Farm that Technically Works."
When you wear the charged set when it’s a thunderstorm and do a spin attack you can call down lightning like urobosa’s fury. You can also get a little bit of lightning by pressing pressing Y 4 times
Yeah, and the Frostbite set and the Ember set do the same thing with their respective elements too! And each of their headpieces glow in their respective environments, plus they're designed after the horns of the elemental Dragons' horns. Also, all of them use up Stamina really fast so you can pull out your charged attack twice as fast. ps. Rock your favorite set and take a picture standing on that set's respective Dragon! Looks SICK!! haha
🧠 = 🎆 right now! Maybe that's what's under the brown of the Miner set! And just like light _materials, _ the set itself is almost useless haha I guess it _WOULD_ light up down there, too, cuz ya know, the Depths = dark. Notice she's the only dragon that doesn't go down there? 🤔 haha
@@BoyProdigyX some of y'all are clearly confusing "light" as in photons with "light" as in "holy magic." the reason the light dragon doesn't go into the depths isn't because it's literally dark down there, it's because it's full of evil. note that the miner set doesn't use light dragon parts to level up, it uses brightbloom seeds and brightcap mushrooms and deep fireflies.
The way you use the stake arrow + Recall trick isn't to shoot the stake into the thing you want to move, it's to shoot the stake into the ground, attach the thing you want to move, and recall the stake.
Just like Urbosa’s fury in Botw, 3 shots of lightning from Riju would kill any molduga, or moldugas, or moldi? Whatever you call them. Also I love your videos and you always put a smile on my face.😁😆😄
0:57 actually, it just feels like boomerang myths keep coming back... 😏 Bad jokes aside, keep up the great work with these vids, I'm finding new things to try in TotK after each one.
If you wear the glide armor and your falling, if you hold up on the control stick and then press B and then Immediately press Y to paraglide, you will glide a lot faster and further than you could before.
Apparently, you can defeat Gloom Hands in 3 shots by shooting elemental gems. Using topaz while wearing lightning resistant clothing is very handy for example.
You have to stealth kill the boss Bokoblins and then his troops will cry or panic. There is many more reactions that you can see with the enemies if stay hidden for while. Example if you kill enough black moblins in a area after while (many blood moons) a white moblin will spawn, but if you stay hidden long enough you will see the white berate the black moblins.
About the one where you tested lights on gloom hands, you should’ve tried mirrors because as far as I’ve observed, lights only light things up and don’t do anything, but mirrors blind enemies.
I believe I already mentioned this, but picking up trap bananas only requires that you move them - and you get the same results as burning the bananas. After that, I tend to attack one of the Yiga Trees, so I can get my bananas and eat them too.
Got another one: attaching a non-blunt monster horn (anything but Horriblin or Moblin, I think) to your shield not only allows you to deal damage, it changes the shield parry animation.
And, since I am unable to edit comments, A pristine Zora Longsword and a silver lynel horn kills a Thunder Gleeok in around 2 minutes, provided you have good aim with a bow and I multishot one. I only did this with a decayed longsword, but it did 100+ damage.
If you have the full Gliding Set you can apparently ragdoll down a cliff without receiving damage. You need to get hit from an bigger enemy or fuse the wrong material on your shield and try to shield surf.
If you bring a cucoo idk how you spell it lol but if you bring it to a disguised yiga tree trap with the bannanas it will yell VERY loudly and annoyingly
Here a Myth: You ride faster on a railing with a Oil shield cause normaly you need to Oil metal. or test this to can you stick a zonai stack who is attached to shield in the ground while it is equipped/unequiped?
you can actually fuse dragon and gleeok horns to eightfold longblades to give the wind that effect. Muddle buds also work though the color of the slash does not change. you can also make a laser machine by fusing a beam emitter or a flame/shock/frost item. you can also gain all your battery back by cooking.
You actually can burn the banana traps while disguised as a Yiga, they call you out for messing with them but won't put them out even at close range, afterwards only hitting the disguised Yiga in normal clothes will trigger the trap(if you can find them, some traps have no visible Yiga).
Im pretty sure that last one you are meant to take a couple of extra steps. Such as if a Korok wants to get on top of a cliff, you go to the top, shoot the arrow with the take into the ground near the Korok, then you go down and attach that korok to the stake, then you climb back up to the top where you shot the arrow from and you then recall the stake to bring it to you. Sure you still have to make the trip up and down, but at least you dont have to do it carrying something with ultrahand.
What will happen if you go in Bullet Time and shoot an arrow through an Silver Boss Bokoblin horn? Will it take damage, or will it go through because it has an donut form?
This myth might be a bit challenging, but if you can somehow hit yourself with an arrow by firing it straight up or something, will it damage you or just go straight through you? Furthermore, can enemies hit themselves with their own arrow?
I accidentally found out when I was flying my Korok Taxi that if you shot Yonobo at the Yiga Trees from afar you will trigger their attack (the camera will zoom in close to them and then they will call you out on busting their disguise), but because I was flying way out of their reach they just stood there. Awkwardly. And after a moment or two they just teleported away. Anyway my favorite way of dealing with those traps now is to attack the trees directly lmao. Think I'm gonna try making some zonai trap and see if I can stunlock them next time
Here's a TotK myth that will require you to look into another game. Myth: Tears was predicted in Smash Ultimate. In SSBU's adventure mode, World of Light, you will come to a section that's themed around the Triforce. Solve a puzzle for wisdom, explore a foggy forest for courage, and battle your way through a desert for power. On this map there are also some owl statues you talk to for hints on what needs to be done. One of these owl statues says "The sword that seals the darkness can cleave the gloom". Not malice or darkness, GLOOM. Also, When you reach the Master Sword, you'll notice a green Zonai like energy swirling up and around similar to Rauru's seal on Ganondorf and the shrines.
Day 5 of asking: A puffshroom against gloom hands are really effective, it cant find you If you were a divine beast masm helm(such as van medoh divine helm). The new sages will also wear it Underneath every hot spring, there is a lava fall(in the depths)
This one might sound super weird but after breaking the mastersword using earthwake can cause its audio to keep playing indefinitely, you can even do it repeatedly to make it really loud, even worse it doesnt stop after teleporting(I'm in version 1.2.0) Edit: after a few tries i was unable to replicate it, it went back to normal after my mastersword recharged, if you want any information to try to recreate it i broke my mastersword in the thundra plateau by swinging a beam, and then the first earthwake went off the nortg eastern ledge and thats how i found the glitch, i teleported to the sifumim shrine and it still worked there and teleported to it again and the sound from the previous time was still there

you can re-create the arrow nuke by attaching a cannon to the end of your spear, and throwing it, spear won’t be thrown, but it’ll shoot out a devastating blast. Shout out to the previous Myth busting video where Dr. Wiley testing the new arrow myth.
A lot of special weapon properties don't seem to work in enemy hands: gloom recoil, zora's boosted wet damage, I bet soldier and royal guard weapons properties don't work either. (I'm pretty sure enemies don't haven anything like a charge attack so traveler and royal weapons don't work by default). That leaves rito wind gusts, eightfold longblades wind edge, gerudo fuse damage boost (this should work because the damage boost is static), and korok reusable burst fusions as the only special properties they can utilize.
For number 6, the bokoblins will cry but only if they don't see you kill their boss. If they see you kill their boss they will attack you but if they don't they will think nobody's around and cry
So I posted that video on your Twitter about the battery and this time I wonder, what would happen if you charged one yellow battery and kept the other one empty...would that be infinite energy?
i think the ancient arrow + boss bokoblin thing has to be at enough of a distance that they don't notice you. so their boss just *poofs* away leaving them confused. being too close they'll just spot you and go into attack mode.
I always preferred to fuse a Gloom weapon to the Master Sword, with the most likely reason being that the two "opposites" being forced together fits well with my twisted sense of humor.
I have two this time, not sure if they have been done yet, need to rewatch older vids. 1. Yiga will fall for the outfit Link wears (not the myth, just clarifying). But will they fall for dyed yiga outfits? 2. Can a mushroom fused to a boomerang still bounce enemies around when thrown? Also, will a glowing mushroom give a nice light show when thrown fused to a boomerang?
If you fuse a banana to your shield, or throw one on the ground while wearing the Yiga armor, disguised Yiga will try to resist temptation with a unique text box. (It might even work during combat)

They aren’t switching elements, it’s a different shift of Lizalfos. You can kill the Fire-breath ones in the day and watch the Ice-breath ones come up in the evening after 7pm or so and then kill those too (or the other way around).
Still awesome to see happen
I honestly don't know which is cooler! haha
wow alright will try to test this
As I said in another comment, attaching the top of 2 stabilizers will fall slower when activated, which can be useful if you attach it to a glider!
Yea it makes a low-grav effect like water temple
Looks SICK!! haha

What would a light dragon based armour do? 🤔
Evil rule #? Wily must always make totk stuff. (by the way it's me Torstein)
Cool Video Bro!
Myth: What if you shine a mirror on the gloom hands, will that kill them?
I thought that too. However when they spot you the sky changes so it might not work even during the day.
on the list
@@drwily oh my God thank you
If you fuse a rocket to a boomerang it will fly away
@@aziz-gw5wjyes just it flies away
did that already
To get the bokoblins to cry, maybe you need to snipe the boss without getting spotted?
That's definitely where he went wrong. I tried it in my game, and it only worked from a distance.
it has to be stealth kills without the other bokoblins being alerted.
doesnt matter, tested it and got the same result
nope tested and didnt work for me, same result
nope tested this same result no difference
The way you use the stake arrow + Recall trick isn't to shoot the stake into the thing you want to move, it's to shoot the stake into the ground, attach the thing you want to move, and recall the stake.
Also works but not as useful
Just like Urbosa’s fury in Botw, 3 shots of lightning from Riju would kill any molduga, or moldugas, or moldi? Whatever you call them.
Also I love your videos and you always put a smile on my face.😁😆😄
0:57 actually, it just feels like boomerang myths keep coming back... 😏
Bad jokes aside, keep up the great work with these vids, I'm finding new things to try in TotK after each one.
i got like 4 new ones from the comments of this vid lmao
If you wear the glide armor and your falling, if you hold up on the control stick and then press B and then Immediately press Y to paraglide, you will glide a lot faster and further than you could before.
Oh, there is a fun one with the Koroks. If they get struck by lightning, they have extra dialog saying something like "bright flash."
oehhh might test
Apparently, you can defeat Gloom Hands in 3 shots by shooting elemental gems. Using topaz while wearing lightning resistant clothing is very handy for example.
You have to stealth kill the boss Bokoblins and then his troops will cry or panic. There is many more reactions that you can see with the enemies if stay hidden for while. Example if you kill enough black moblins in a area after while (many blood moons) a white moblin will spawn, but if you stay hidden long enough you will see the white berate the black moblins.
tried this no diffrence, also yeah enemies do weird stuff hahaha
Can you parry a bomb barrel back at a bokoblin when it throws it at you?
It explodes on you but you take no damage. Works on other explosives too
nope explodes lmao
You can hit pebbles like a baseball bat
hahahah yeah did this in botw, but bit too well know tbh
@@drwily ah ok
About the one where you tested lights on gloom hands, you should’ve tried mirrors because as far as I’ve observed, lights only light things up and don’t do anything, but mirrors blind enemies.
Sure will try, screenshotting this
I believe I already mentioned this, but picking up trap bananas only requires that you move them - and you get the same results as burning the bananas.
After that, I tend to attack one of the Yiga Trees, so I can get my bananas and eat them too.
i really love this series, keeps me active in the game
glad you like it
Attach a zonai fan to a boomerang. will it create a whirlwind?
think i already tested this
tested this already
Got another one: attaching a non-blunt monster horn (anything but Horriblin or Moblin, I think) to your shield not only allows you to deal damage, it changes the shield parry animation.
And, since I am unable to edit comments, A pristine Zora Longsword and a silver lynel horn kills a Thunder Gleeok in around 2 minutes, provided you have good aim with a bow and I multishot one.
I only did this with a decayed longsword, but it did 100+ damage.
yeah covered this already sort of
You won't be cancelled for torturing koroks because they have to pay for their sins.
If you have the full Gliding Set you can apparently ragdoll down a cliff without receiving damage. You need to get hit from an bigger enemy or fuse the wrong material on your shield and try to shield surf.
that's just what the set bonus, Impact Proof, is... complete nullification of fall damage
this is on the list
If you bring a cucoo idk how you spell it lol but if you bring it to a disguised yiga tree trap with the bannanas it will yell VERY loudly and annoyingly
@Bokoman9468 How on earth would you find this obscure interaction in an normal playthrough?
I really want to know how you found this
@@HungryWarden brought a chicken to the mount lanayru chasm there was a yiga clan trap on the way to it
@@Bokoman9468 sounds like it must’ve taken a long time, at least you learned something.
Here a Myth: You ride faster on a railing with a Oil shield cause normaly you need to Oil metal. or test this to can you stick a zonai stack who is attached to shield in the ground while it is equipped/unequiped?
hmmm hard to check tbh, rail surfing already works so well
you can actually fuse dragon and gleeok horns to eightfold longblades to give the wind that effect. Muddle buds also work though the color of the slash does not change. you can also make a laser machine by fusing a beam emitter or a flame/shock/frost item. you can also gain all your battery back by cooking.
You actually can burn the banana traps while disguised as a Yiga, they call you out for messing with them but won't put them out even at close range, afterwards only hitting the disguised Yiga in normal clothes will trigger the trap(if you can find them, some traps have no visible Yiga).
yeah did this once as well hahahaha
Im pretty sure that last one you are meant to take a couple of extra steps. Such as if a Korok wants to get on top of a cliff, you go to the top, shoot the arrow with the take into the ground near the Korok, then you go down and attach that korok to the stake, then you climb back up to the top where you shot the arrow from and you then recall the stake to bring it to you. Sure you still have to make the trip up and down, but at least you dont have to do it carrying something with ultrahand.
Well yeah i did some.testing like that, footage just isnt in the video, I often record atleast 10 min of stuff to like 30ish, most doesnt make the cut
What will happen if you go in Bullet Time and shoot an arrow through an Silver Boss Bokoblin horn? Will it take damage, or will it go through because it has an donut form?
Oh, you mean their HORNS!! That's a good question... I wonder if they detailed their hit-boxes that much.
2:09 CAN YOU PARRY THAT EPISODE 69 wait, this isn't cdotkom
If you hold a bomb flower in a cave in eldin it wont explode until you throw it
Now you are just being mean
true
well ish
#11 ooo. that is a good use for all my surplus octoballoons. better than using more valuable/useful rockets for sure.
10000%
10:44 you need to take down the boss Boko while the mini bokos aren't in battle
Tested this before releasing and nope still the same result for me
This myth might be a bit challenging, but if you can somehow hit yourself with an arrow by firing it straight up or something, will it damage you or just go straight through you? Furthermore, can enemies hit themselves with their own arrow?
You can't fire straight up though, there's a limit to how high and low Link will aim.
@@Amycalledshooter Then this would be really hard to test, if it's even possible.
should damage you
Myth: Throwing chuchu jelly at the ground gives heat resistance
I accidentally found out when I was flying my Korok Taxi that if you shot Yonobo at the Yiga Trees from afar you will trigger their attack (the camera will zoom in close to them and then they will call you out on busting their disguise), but because I was flying way out of their reach they just stood there. Awkwardly. And after a moment or two they just teleported away. Anyway my favorite way of dealing with those traps now is to attack the trees directly lmao. Think I'm gonna try making some zonai trap and see if I can stunlock them next time
Wily the Mythbuster: Part XI 😎😎
try using recall on sky ruins to get good hight
Number 6 10:00 if you shoot a boss bokoblin with an ancient arrow *without* any of the bokos noticing you, then the bokos will cry. It's a thing.
nope tested this and had the same effect
Imma try that with my friend
interesting one, but will include this in a different folder tbh
Day 5 of asking:
A puffshroom against gloom hands are really effective, it cant find you
If you were a divine beast masm helm(such as van medoh divine helm). The new sages will also wear it

myth: Fusing a fan to a boomerang will make it fly faster
i think i tried this already
This one might sound super weird but after breaking the mastersword using earthwake can cause its audio to keep playing indefinitely, you can even do it repeatedly to make it really loud, even worse it doesnt stop after teleporting(I'm in version 1.2.0)
Edit: after a few tries i was unable to replicate it, it went back to normal after my mastersword recharged, if you want any information to try to recreate it i broke my mastersword in the thundra plateau by swinging a beam, and then the first earthwake went off the nortg eastern ledge and thats how i found the glitch, i teleported to the sifumim shrine and it still worked there and teleported to it again and the sound from the previous time was still there
Yeah sadly enough i dont have older versions of the game, sounds cool though
Any fire lizalfos camp in gerudo always has an ice lizalfos under it
My favorite power up in the game is ultrahand, because I love how it makes me build amazing vehicles! 🚗🤩

In all honesty I don’t know if anyone has ever pulled off reading it to no one’s surprise.
Great video as Always. Definitely looking forward to more crazy ideas form people that end up working out.
hahahhaha yeah i cant read it for sure, also glad you liked it and more to come
you can re-create the arrow nuke by attaching a cannon to the end of your spear, and throwing it, spear won’t be thrown, but it’ll shoot out a devastating blast. Shout out to the previous Myth busting video where Dr. Wiley testing the new arrow myth.
oehhh yeah i bet that would work really well
A lot of special weapon properties don't seem to work in enemy hands: gloom recoil, zora's boosted wet damage, I bet soldier and royal guard weapons properties don't work either. (I'm pretty sure enemies don't haven anything like a charge attack so traveler and royal weapons don't work by default). That leaves rito wind gusts, eightfold longblades wind edge, gerudo fuse damage boost (this should work because the damage boost is static), and korok reusable burst fusions as the only special properties they can utilize.
might test this stuff in general tbh
I always fused Gloom weapons to the Master Sword. Very useful!
For number 6, the bokoblins will cry but only if they don't see you kill their boss. If they see you kill their boss they will attack you but if they don't they will think nobody's around and cry
Tested this before vids release and its false, something happens
The Boss Boko KO was on a UA-cam channel. The arrow was shot from a distance and undetected. They do cry, very funny.
i tried this and didnt get this result at all
so could be a mod, rom has been out for a long time at this point
So I posted that video on your Twitter about the battery and this time I wonder, what would happen if you charged one yellow battery and kept the other one empty...would that be infinite energy?
i think the ancient arrow + boss bokoblin thing has to be at enough of a distance that they don't notice you. so their boss just *poofs* away leaving them confused. being too close they'll just spot you and go into attack mode.
Tested this before the videos release amd no that doesn't matter same result
I always preferred to fuse a Gloom weapon to the Master Sword, with the most likely reason being that the two "opposites" being forced together fits well with my twisted sense of humor.
I like the idea of it, and i bet the damage was pretty good as well
@@drwily It does, while the Gloom weapon lasts.
I have another gloom hand trick. Climb out of their reach with a tree or ruin and wait around. It takes a while, but the results are worth it.
too well known tbh
I have two this time, not sure if they have been done yet, need to rewatch older vids.
1. Yiga will fall for the outfit Link wears (not the myth, just clarifying). But will they fall for dyed yiga outfits?
2. Can a mushroom fused to a boomerang still bounce enemies around when thrown? Also, will a glowing mushroom give a nice light show when thrown fused to a boomerang?
They will fall for dyed yiga outfits (id know, i dyed my set light blue and they still were tricked)
