Sweet Hensley boy. My Ashe survived three years with Kidney disease. Restorapet supplement was a big help and he did well. Crossed over the rainbow 🌈 a month shy of his 17th birthday.
Two of my cats (both sisters) were diagnosed at sixteen and fifteen with acute kidney failure. My sixteen year old lived until eighteen and a half years old. Right after that the vet suggested trying my other cat(seventeen at the time) on a pro -biotic for kidney/renal support. She made it to twenty and a half years old 😊.
Yes my Cat Mandy had kidney issues. Praying for Hensley. You are all doing everything you can. Many cats are perpetually dehydrated even when there is water always present. This can contribute to health issues. Kidney problems are very common in cats.
I just lost my Doodle to kidney failure a couple of weeks ago. Looking back at his records, his weight loss was dramatic in the past 6 months but when you’re with them every day sometimes you just don’t realize it. Re; bloodwork, starting at about age 10, I start getting bloodwork done every 2 years unless there is something we’re monitoring then every year.
