I also make my own oils and waxes based on research from many sources. If you would like I can send you some of my recipes. There is a range, with different uses from floors to furniture. I have a friend who is a very good luthier and he likes my wax for his guitars. I also very much enjoy French Polishing, and can send you links to that information - this will let you get amazing surface finishes. Best Regards

I made these holdfast clamps today. They work excellent! My regular holdfast doesn't work on my bench, because my bench top is only 3/4" thick. These holdfasts solve a big problem for me. So thank you very much! I enjoy your channel. Please keep making these high quality videos.

Again an awesome build; well done, Ohyo san. -I will definitely make a lot of these - but with a slight modification: I will rotate the cam around 80 degrees, so that the lever will be closed when it's right above the dog-hole dowel. I think I will also glue a small piece of leather to the underside of the clamp's holding-area (for anti-skid / anti-slip). You can make a very simple cam-clamp for dog-holes, by gluing the cam-wheel+lever directly onto the dog-hole dowel (2 parts glued together, no mechanical movement until it's put in the dog-hole). -But you already made some (very nice) in-line dog-hole clamps that do this.

I built one pair of these clamps according to this video but used plastic covered pipe as a rod. It's too slippery and need to fix that. Otherwise clamps work perfect. Thank you for sharing and hello from Finland.

Excellent work, as usual. May I respectfully suggest that you use a metal rod as the pivot for the cam? I suspect that the threads on the screws are damaging, and enlarging the hole through the cam. An unthreaded metal rod would be smooth, so unlikely to do as much damage. Another consideration is that it would look much nicer as well. I really admire your work, sir. As well as being a gifted craftsman, you are an artist.

I built one pair of these clamps according to this video but used plastic covered pipe as a rod. It's too slippery and need to fix that. Otherwise clamps work perfect. Thank you for sharing and hello from Finland.

reaally nice! The only change I'm going to do when I build them is to reverse the cams. The current direction means the levers are sort of out there in the way. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!

Excellent work, as usual. May I respectfully suggest that you use a metal rod as the pivot for the cam? I suspect that the threads on the screws are damaging, and enlarging the hole through the cam. An unthreaded metal rod would be smooth, so unlikely to do as much damage. Another consideration is that it would look much nicer as well.
I really admire your work, sir. As well as being a gifted craftsman, you are an artist.

Meine Kritik ziehlt auf den Stilbruch, in das edle Holz der Klammern eine Eisenschraube reinzuwürgen, was dir mein Prädikat "perfekt" entzieht. Eine polierte Messingschraube, noch besser ein Holzdübel, wäre hier wohl die zu bevorzugende Wahl der Mittel gewesen.
