4:00 I'm about to turn 70 and I love it when my opponent hit a drop shot. I get there almost every time and then I'm at the kitchen. Thanks for the invite! Even we older folks can usually get those.
Serves adequate, third shot drops/drives/strategy fairly sound, dinking very passive most times but reasonably consistent/good form. Play through transition zone, speed ups, resets, and fire fights not very strong. Good level of play, still catching up to U.S. or even Canada, thanks for sharing Rory. Always fascinating to see play from around the world and how this awesome sport is developing.
I am retired and currently exploring Asia (so far just China and Thailand but possibly Malaysia and Vietnam too)And of course, I try to play pball wherever I can. I have been very impressed by the skills of the recreational players. Badminton is very popular and it is similar to pball in many ways. I suppose that is why they are able to excel at it so easily. When looking for play in China it was difficult (basketball is very popular) but I have read it is catching on quickly and when it does, watch out. There is a reason the Asians and especially the Chinese dominate table tennis and badminton. Fast hand speed, lateral movements, similar strategies. If/when pball becomes an Olympic sport they will certainly become tough competitors.
I enjoyed watching them. Very fast hands and a different style of play. Their application of spin looks like table tennis to me, but my son says he has seen players who actually hold the pickleball paddle like a table tennis paddle (cupped in hand) so I'm not sure. What happened to the Vietnamese team at the end? Was that a new player for the last few points, or did the player originally in black change clothes? I don't know how they would do against US Pros - such different tactics and strategy.
They look like they can play in our professional tour. Their patience is remarkable but they are a tad less aggressive than the women pro’s on US teams.
Decent play, but they would get picked apart by pros (see my first comment for short explanation/analysis). Your definitely right on point in noticing the lack of aggression, they would not be able to handle the pace and aggressive tactics of higher level play. (they would struggle against 5.0 plus in my opinion fwiw)
The winning team did better when the 'stacked'. The lefthander (multicolored shirt) was so much better when she was on the right. A very strong hitter as well. And yes, pingpong AND/OR badminton. That is really the quickest sport around. We don't see many badminton players here in the US.
@@seonglee1173perhaps just slightly chunky muscle girls. What is everyone so consumed? This is one of 5th few sportswhere gender doesn’t necessarily dominate.

Pickleball is a global thing. Thanks for watching!
They have very fast hands and are very patient. Their overheads are killer. They most likely have ping-pong and/or badminton background.
I think so as well. Thanks for watching.

Looking at the Kitchen, I would assume it is the "Ocean Blue Open".
Thank you. I'll have to do some research on that.

Not sure. I didn't catch that. I'll go back and take a look. Thanks for watching.
Looks like all players have a Joola 3s. Explosive attacks and smooth defense
Looks that way. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for watching and thanks for your opinion.

Agree that the Taiwanese team is excellent, but could they maintain the sustained aggression that we see here in North America?

This match was full of drama and excitement with a low score
I agree. Thanks for watching.
Thanks...but ANY seriously ranked Table Tennis player, can beat the BEST ping pong player...just sayin
I understand. Table tennis players probably don't like it when the word ping pong is used. I grew up calling the sport ping pong. Thanks for watching.
This is low level players in Vietnam. 2 men vs 2 woman. Why I know? Because I am Vietnamese and we knew. I rated them at low 4.0 by the standard level
Thanks for your rating. Again, I'm pretty sure they are all women.
Is pb getting popular in Asia?
Players from Vietnam looks to be men's team definitely not a women's team. Their build, dressed, hair cut the way they move.....
I get it, but, they are women. Thanks for watching.
Perhaps trans? 😂

They do look like guys.
I agree very good play, but it’s not 2 women’s teams.
Those are women. Thanks for watching.
