You are always SO inspiring!!! Your professional skills are so motivating for me!!
Thank you ever so much for your incredibly kind words! 💜 💜
Everything is beautiful, as always, but I adore that quilt! The colors, the design, and the quilting... just st perfect. I like the new pj pattern, makes me wish I could make them for someone. They are very cut. Use the flat buttons, Christine. Shank buttons can be painful to lie on if the top shifts/twists or you sleep on your stomach. If you are a back sleeper then I'd go with the pearlized shanks.
Thank you so much Charlotte!! Isn't the quilt fun? It was fun to make and has a good memory. That's such a good point I hadn't thought about on the buttons. So genius!
Love the first set of white buttons. Nice makes by the way.😍
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm glad you like the first set of white buttons. Your kind words mean a lot. Happy sewing! 💜
button set #3....you are amazing.
Thank you so much!!! 💜💜💜💜
First set . more comfortable for sleeping. Also pretty.
Got it! Comfort and style for sleepwear! 💜
The first set of flat buttons. The pj pattern looks adorable!
Thank you so much! 💜
First set of buttons simple and comfortable
They really are!💜
30 seconds in and subscribed. You are lovely to watch. The blouse you are wearing is stunning 😍
Oh thank you! 💜
Love the third set of buttons, but the first set (simple flat buttons) will certainly be the most comfortable and practical. Thank you - always love your videos.
Thank you so much for your input 💜💜
Oh I love your makes they are my kind of clothes. I love all the buttons and think either of them would look nice. xx
Thanks so much 😊
I love your vibe, music, and sews of course!! I've subscribed.
Yay! Thank you!
Hi Christine, I think the first one is the nicest.
Thanks for your vote, Maureen 💜
Gorgeous makes - thanks for sharing! I like option 3 for the buttons :)
Thanks for your input 💜
Option 1 all the way!!!
Thanks for your input 💜
The first set of buttons - flat! The shanks and pearls might be uncomfortable.
I hadn't thought of the shanks being uncomfortable - thank you for your input 💜
Hi Christine, I just watched your Fabric Haul a couple of hours ago. I wondered when I would get to see some of your wonderful ideas come to life. I couldn't help but laugh, when magically here you are with so much done. In just finding you and your channel today, I had no idea of what timeline was reasonable. Wow! YOU are AMAZING! ❤ Once again, I am over the moon with happiness upon seeing these makes. I am still wishing that the fabric you used to make your Essex dress was available for sale. I love the 60s and 70s flower power funky and/or beautiful fabrics and style. I loved the purple floral material (so much) that you mentioned may become the material you cover your bed's headboard with. I hope you do use it for that, absolutely great idea! The green, white, and orange material was so cute too. I absolutely adore the pyjama set you made. So, so pretty. My 20 year old granddaughter would look so cute in it and I hope you have made a pattern. It would be fun trying to follow your lead on this one and then give it to her for a birthday or Christmas present. I am crossing my fingers that you Do Not use the button with gold. I think the right choice of button style--between the remaining 2 options--can be made by simply selecting the set of buttons that is the same color of white as that found in the fabric used to make in the pyjamas. My cell's camera says that would be the flat faced little round buttons. I love them best, after seeing the choices. I think their design compliments the style of the pyjamas. The other buttons just seem old lady-ish too me...used in styles that fit the vintage era but not today's aesthetic (in my opinion). I will, however love whatever you decide...I am sure about that (based on my :-) experience with your flair for cool). ❤❤❤
P.S. I had to come back and ask that you consider making a girls pattern in the pyjama set too. At first, I immediately saw my 20 yr. Old granddaughter in it and knew she would love it. Then I went and checked out your site and not long I thought of my granddaughter who is 10 years old (thinking she is a teen when selecting her clothes, and looks adorable in them. She too would love these pjs. She is very slim and tallish, like a baby filly).
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and detailed comment! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the makes and have such great feedback. I appreciate your input on the button choice for the pyjama set and your suggestion for a girls' pattern - I will definitely keep it in mind! The patterns that are on my website (sewingandthecity.com/shop/) come in different sizes! so maybe you can find one perfect for your granddaughter 💜 Your support means the world to me, and I'm glad you found my channel 💜🌟💜
#3 buttons
Love all ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Angela!!
Hi from England. I have only just found your channel, I am not sure where I found the link but I loved it and really like your style. I am going to have to watch more of your videos. Thanks for doing them.
Hi Christine! Thank you so much for your kind comment! Nice to "meet" you 💜
I love that your makes are so colorful. The neon binding is wonderful!
Thank you so much! 💜
I absolutely love videos like this! Thank you so much for your hard work in creating content for us and the effort you make in producing new patterns. Super excited for a (possible 🤞🏽) sew-along for those GORGEOUS pajamas! ♥️
Aww thank you so much for your kind comment!! 💜
I would go for the first type of buttons! The second type is a no go if you sometimes sleep on your stomach - too painful!
Thank you! I hadn't considered the raised buttons and sleeping 💜
Loved your video, love seeing the same patterns made in different fabrics as they are so inspiring! I pick the pearl buttons.
Thank you! It's fun to get different looks with different fabrics :-D
I like the first set of buttons. All the others will be uncomfortable to sleep in.
Thanks for your input! Comfort is definitely important, especially for sleepwear💜
1st. 3, 2nd. 1, 3rd. 2.
Thanks for your input!
Love your makes!!! With the binded neckline, did you stitch the other side of the binding down? I couldn't see stitches on the right side and liked that you couldn't see the stitches...what is your method? Again, love your style!
Thank you!! I did actually stitch through all the layers, sewing from the wrong side of the garment (so I could get right on the edge of the bias tape). I think it's just the thread color that makes it less visible. BUT I think you could definitely hand slip stitch if you really didn't want machine stitching showing :-)
Love you top. Is the print from a table cloth?
Thank you!💜 That was actually a scarf that I bought at Parfois and cut into a top. It's a free pattern that you can easily have through this link: www.sewingandthecity.co/manhattan
Awesome. I did that! Thank you so much.
One more thing. Do you have the pattern for the beautiful short sleeve gold and white dress? It used to be a table cloth.
Found the Mercer! Yay
The first buttons. Shank is a bit uncomfortable i think.😊
Thank you Anne-Lie. I agree, this was something new I had never thought of when making pjs.
