This is similar to a particle accelerator. Basically, use portals to create an infinte fall for a cannon shot. you can then release the cannon shot out of your fort and it will obliterate anything with it's gigantic velocity. But you have it a bit more technical, because of the whole disconnection item. Overall, 10/10 strat, amazing exploit. Even if it does require a really tanky build to work in a real game.
I was a bit surprised to see the mass orbital lasers not get through the whole thing. The replay explained it though. All the falling steel at the front of the base fell ended up blocking the laser from getting thru.
I test it out this on cannons, auto cannons and etc and it worked!!, just put the portal under the madness portal where the cannon shell would land then deactivate the second one on the bottom and the result is very destructive.
The OL sweep does a lot of raycasts to work out if it's going to hit a friendly base. Anywhere within its sweep range counts; if it's going to intersect with a friendly base at the time of impact, it simply will not fire.
imagine your on the other side and you see a massive laser come out of the front of the ship. Actually, this is an amazing way to take down the foundation of a fort at sea level
Considering the concentratanator used regular lazers, this one is the tier 2! Funny enough, I was thinking about concentratanators literally minutes before getting to that point in the video. They came back better than ever before! Edit: It’s not exactly a concentratanator, it’s even better. No spoilers.
Wait the concentratanator worked with lazers? I thought it couldn’t because regular plasma & firebeam projectiles were instant and couldn’t build up speed in the portals like cannon shells can.

The real concentratanator makes three lasers fire through the exact same spot (It should work with other weapons, but it would make them weaker because it’s less splash damage as everything hits the same spot). I am pretty sure the thing built it the video is called a looper or a stasis chamber idk don’t remember.
watched too many forts vids to even guess how many.. but this is by far my favorite. awesome way to think outside the box with the setup. hope to see more.

Project incures did the same thing when portals I think was first introduced to the game but he used cannons with the exact same portal setup to make a vanilla ralgun

but he messed up the setup, the right bottom portal needs to be angled slightly for the acceleration to take place, learned it from incursus
