First of all, Thank you for the video lessons! As I move from one video lesson to the other I can understand the depth and the need to practice more to get to the level required to move to the next video lesson. Your casual way of teaching has really struck a chord with me 👍 Thank you for thinking through to make your video using that approach. I’m a beginner currently practicing frets and trying to keep my fingers closer to the string and not move away while pressing the fret. I’m noticing it automatically translates to a pressure being applied to my thumb and at the same time it gives stability to apply pressure as I work through fingers 1,2,3,4 along F, F#,G,G#. Is this expected or am I doing wrong hurting my thumb. I understand this could get better by practice, but I want to ask you the question, so to ensure I’m not learning the incorrect way. Thank you 🙏

Remember without the thumb most of our day to day work is difficult.. From holding the coffee mug to just holding a book. Thumb gets the most amount of pressure and you are doing it pakka. You will eventually find ways to keep the thumb in the right place to not hurt you much and the thumb will get used to it too.. (Its like gym weights - your muscle becomes stronger to lift heavier stuff)
