2013 one has to be among the best performances from AMAs
I tried singing the high notes of firework at my local KTV (karaoke) and I couldn’t do it. That $ht is HARD AF. I admire singers who can hit such high notes. Her voice became perfect just in the middle of Fireworks, all the other songs were sang fantastically, so I’m glad she could recover from the beginning of fireworks. On another note, Bruce Dickinson is 30 years older than her and he still can sing all Iron Maiden songs and hit all notes perfectly, even though many are high pitched. Respect to Bruce Dickinson for having the best conserved and well taken care of voice in the music business.

@@saintperth3978 Katy has a pretty strong vocal ability granted, these performances didn't exactly showcase that as they were not her best. But her songs like E. T. ; Thinking of You (esp. hearing it acapella) and her control in Roar make her a contender and certainly way better than these new girls who have the pretty face package but can't hold a note even if it came with handles.

She always gets very nervous on award shows, she is much better vocalist than that, especially in 2nd half of her career (2016 - now). She is acually a legit vocalist now. She then put more effort in a overall show and performance, now she focuses on vocals more, but ofc nobody wants to judge those moments but these older ones on award shows...

Ive seen other performances of her fire work live. Not every single performance is gonna amazing. Even singers have off days like demis performance of too cool for the summer when she was off key the whole song. I feel like katy mag have been off key and flat on some parts. She kept it professional and the show went on.
They also work has and their prime oil is rheir voice. Sometimes they tire unfortunately. Loved the it none the less ^.^
